Fantastic luxurious hotel in great location in Montecatini Terme. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient making our week's stay very enjoyable. The room was beautiful and recently refurbished to a very high standard. The beds were so comfortable and huge enabling a good night's sleep. The choices at breakfast were very varied and as our stay was in September, we ate outside in the beautiful courtyard setting. Thanks to the staff for their great welcome.

Beautiful traditional hotel, great location for touring Tuscany region.
Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed with good quality linens.
The breakfast was plentiful with many food choices and taken in the grand ballroom. Particularly like the tasty cooked apples and poached pears along with the smoked salmon in addition to hot eggs and bacon.
Reception staff were friendly, gave excellent information and recommendations for sightseeing and were responsive to all our requests. The restaurant staff were excellent, attentive and very professional, a refreshing experience nowadays. Didn't get an opportunity to use the spa during our short stay but facilities looked good.
Would return and recommend to our friends
Thank you

We had a wonderful visit to Montecatini, and loved staying in this grand old hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely view of the gardens of this property. The bathroom was the most spacious we had anywhere in Italy. We were greeted by all staff members very warmly, especially at breakfast by Luigi. Breakfast was delicious, and plentiful, served in the beautiful grand ballroom. The concierge was very helpful with daily suggestions, and arranged a winery tour for us that was exceptional. The bartender that served cocktails was a true master of his art. All service was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and am looking forward to visiting again. I would never stay anywhere else in Montecatini! This was a great location for visiting Tuscany.

Our stay at La Pace in Montecatini was most enjoyable!
The staff & service was great. We loved sitting in the lounge each night listening to the live music. The location is very convenient & a very short walk to the city center & the train station.
Our room was lovely & large as well as the bathroom.
The food & service at breakfast was great in a beautiful dining room.
We also enjoyed the view of the courtyard from our room.
The hotel is a gem & we look forward to our return.

Feels like you're in the Grand Budapest Hotel. Such antique structures, spacious rooms and that palatial touch to the entire hotel. I am pretty confident this was a palace transformed into this luxury hotel. Staff is very nice and all speak very nicely. All in all, a great place to spend your holiday in Tuscany!

This hotel is truly swish. The way they serve coffee/hot chocolate is just like Claridges - truly 5***** but in a provincial Tuscsn city. The spa is very reasonable and the pool is delightful - I loved the jacuzzi.

This hotel were very accommodating of kosher guests on a deal rate, who got kosher food sent over from Rustichelli to keep in the hotel freezer. Mind you they charged €10 per person service, but the breakfast buffet was lovely and the rooms luxurious.

Do not believe the negative feedback. I've stayed and eaten in some good places in my time. This place is the real deal. I loved the staff. They are making our stay truly enjoyable and memorable.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel & La Pace.

Apart from the beautiful surroundings of both indoor and outdoor areas, the staff were kind and helpful throughout. Special mention goes to the pool attendant in the outdoor pool area - a hard worker who clearly takes pride in his work, and is so pleasant to guests.

We also loved the area, and have already recommended Montecatini Terme to anyone who will listen :)

Booked through Voyage Privee.

Hotel has a feel of slightly faded grandeur about it.

The rooms are off wide corridors with a few impressive works of art on the walls. Inside, the rooms are spacious with very high ceilings and with a massive and very comfortable bed. The furnishings were a bit eclectic with a mix of old and more modern but none the less servicable. The room has a mini bar with room for your own purchases - good Prosecco from the local supermarket five minutes away - but does not have any tea or coffee facilities - take a kettle!. The bathroom was fine - good sinks and bath with shower over - just a bit spoiled by some poor sealant and accompanying mould! The double height shutter opened out to a small balcony that overlooked the courtyard breakfast/dining area - lovely!

The concierge staff were fantastic throughout our 7 night stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they know the good and reasonably priced restaurants nearby and will make reservations for you.

Breakfast was a typical Italian affair (sic.!) with the usual continental selection bolstered by a warm pancetta and scrambled egg offering. Good enough to see you off to a good start! Otherwise, we cannot comment on the food although those we talked to gave mixed reviews.

Outside, the pool area was great with towels provided and nothing too much trouble.

On location, Montecatini is wonderfully situated of a holiday in Tuscany. It is a great place in its own right - make sure you take the funicular to Alto - but is even better as a base. It sits on the main rail line so it is really easy to get to Lucca, Pistoia and Florence - quick trains every hour - and also is well located for touring the region by car - parking at the hotel is free and ample.

Overall, we had a great week here and we grew to love the Grand Hotel and La Pace. If you are looking for a bit of Italy with a touch of quirkiness then this could be the place for you - I will also post soon on Tripadvisor if anyone wants any tips and recommendations!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was sooo nice, the outside pool was delightful and the best was our room. Sooo spacious. We never slept in a bed like that big. It was such a calm and relaxing stay. We loved the breakfast and the breakfast room. Everything was perfect and nice. The only negative ist the really small city of Montecatini but it is so close to other nice cities, that it doesn´t matter so much. On the last day we found a vegan restaurant, that was outstanding.

The glorious art deco years still live on here. A grandiose 5 star hotel that hangs on to its glory days when it hosted Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, David Bowie and the royal family. The staff are still as proud to fulfil their role as they are knowledgeable. If you like to dive back into the years of old glamour (although witg some signs of age) and want a place as a Base to explore Tuscany - you can't go wrong here. Loved the week and will be recommending it.
