Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park

This place is absolutely stunning!! While I'm not in any way considered a photographer (amateur or otherwise), I couldn't take a bad photo. The only con is the sheer amount of people. The park is very crowded around the lake. If you decide to hike up to either the refuge or the summit, there will be less and less people.

It really is that pretty! I went in late June, the crowd wasn't so bad. You can go by bus (included in the mobilcard) or private car (there is a parking fee and you have to make a reservation during peak seasons). The water was cold, but warm enough to soak in!

Nice path going around the lake with a bit of elevation on one side, it's roughly 2.7 miles.
We went in late October and it wasn't busy so car parking was not an issue.
Car park 2 was 6 euros for the day and the food kiosk next to it served some nice food.

Great park and great hikes through the dolomites. The huts are not all very authentic and traditional (aka they are a bit too fancy for me and very business oriented). However the views are breathtaking and the walks forgettable. The park is clean and very well maintained. Such a pleasure to see that we have access to such great nature!

Great nature area for a good hike. If you are up for a brisk walk, I would recommend going up by lift from Badia, then do the round-the-park-loop.

It's great for hiking and cycling!! The mountains and the cliffs are breathtaking.. the view is awesome especially if you manage to go to the top!

Beautiful area. We did not know that we needed to buy a ticket for the parking at Lago do Braies (Pragser Wildsee) and this was a typical Italian mess at the entrance. Better make sure that you have the right ticket. We did a 12 km walk around the lake.

It's absolutely fabulous place, really worth to see. I was there on the beginning of September with stunning weather, lots of people. Don't forget to reserve parking via internet (7e per day). We spended there around 5 hours, just walking around the lake,
(with two small dogs), taking some drinks. Toilets available

The best tracking route ever. At first the track is quite easy, but in the middle of the track you will find a lot of challenging ones. The view itself is splendid.

Landscape like I've not seen in the Dolomites, almost like bring on the moon or in a massive impact crater in places. On the top you can visit the highest micro brewery in Europe for a well deserved beer!

Must visit in this region. Research and plan ahead!!! There are many restrictions during high season, roads closed, check points.

Reserve in restaurants, don't drink and drive (0 tolerance, which is good) and be clean! High fines for littering, so take your trash back to the valley.

Don't underestimate these mountains. Inexperienced people should take a guide. It can become very dangerous

Stunning gem of a lake!! Rent a pedalò to see it from the middle or walk around the very easy path. A few restaurants for when you’re done!

Fenomenal place/Lake. You must pay a Peking fee of 6eur for 3h. You can take a Nice walk around the Lake and soraunding plače and you can also rent a smal boat.

OMG WHAT A STUNNING PLACE. THERE IS A CAR PARK ON THE RIGHT AS YOU GET CLOSER. IT IS 6EUROS ALL DAY. AND 2 MINUTE WALK STRAIGHT UP THE ROAD .. BEST VIEWS IVE SEEN IN A WHILE

Amazing scenery, well trodden paths and worth the effort. Truly magical. We loved it!!
