Gampen Alm

The hospitality and food were SO incredible, we really loved our stay and the environment. The family was so friendly and they even held our bags for us while we hiked around for a bit after checkout. We thought that half-board for €62 (three course dinner with dessert, overnight stay, and breakfast) was an amazing value. We would love to come back!

We visited several times over a number of years, and the team at Gampen Alm always gave us their best. The Apfelstrudel is amazing, and we also enjoy the coffee. The location is almost perfect, a great place to have as the way point for a hike. Out first visit in 2019 was with a snow shoe hiking group lead by Seb. That day we also met a wonderful gentleman and his Alpenländische Dachsbracke. The dog was a delight to cuddle. It inspired us to adopt our own dog two years later. In 2024 we came back to the Gampen Alm with our dog Norah, an Austrian Pincher. On the way up to the cabin we even crossed paths again with Seb who was snowshoe hiking with a group again. What a nice coincidence! We fully expect to visit the Gampen Alm again in the future.

Amazing local food, big portions, prices a bit higher but totaqlly normal for the area, would very much recommend, great after a big hike!!!

We stayed here for one night. The room we had was fine. The staff were all so kind and helpful and the food was incredible especially when you think you are up the mountains. The quality of food was super and presentation was top class. We can't wait to go back.

I stayed here for two nights. The service was great and it had the best food that I’ve had at a rifugio. Dorm room had plenty of space and provided blankets, and the shower had hot hotel. Good base points for hiking.

I give it five stars because the view was immaculate and the food wonderful, moreover after ordering we waited very little to be served.

An amazing hut at an elevation of 2.000m. The view over the natural parc of Puez Odle and the Funes Valley is simply stunning. The food was amazing, almost on par with a listed Guide Michelin restaurant, you feel the freshness of the ingredients used in making the dishes in every bite. The staff is very kind, we received a family like treatment. Location wise is also well positioned but keep in mind that if you want to go further to the east side, elevation will go only up

End of the good snow. About a 2000m climb from parking lot which was tough with kids pulling sleds. Steep rodelbahn at the top but a great ride

One of my favorite alms in SüdTirol, where I always come after a relaxing hike in the mountains, admiring the Odles. You can reach this alm starting from Parking Zans, it’s about an hour hike and it’s quite easy, also with children. The alm is right in the little valley, with lots of places outside, where you can either have a delicious lunch or a slice of strudel while admiring the beautiful scenery around you. My absolute favorite dish are eggs with speck and potatoes, but make sure to try also their “merende”, the platter with typical cheese and hams. The staff is always very friendly and nice and the prices are in line with the other alms in the region, you usually spend 20€/ each.

We did a lovely 50 min walk to reach this beautifully located malga, offering us a rich and yummy lunch. Good prices. Totally recommended
