Ecovillage Torri Superiore

I spent 3 wks in this beautiful village in July 2023, and would go back again in a heartbeat. Not only were the accommodations lovely, comfortable and very clean, but the food was beautifully prepared each day as well. The high point however, was getting to know everyone who lives and works each day to create such a welcoming experience for their guests. Everything about Torre Superiore encourages one to slow down, enjoy sunrises and sunsets over delicious meals and relax with friends or by yourself. Whether you plan just a couple days retreat, or a longer stop over, you will not be disappointed. Ventimiglia just down the mountain is easily accessible by bus or taxi and has everything you could possibly need in the way of shopping. My visit was a much needed sabbatical after 10yrs building my own business. Torre and it’s wonderful people allowed me the perfect opportunity to slow down and reconnect to a more peaceful, centered and healthy pace of existence. Thank you to all! The Ecovillage offers a communal dining area with a fresh buffet with changing menus daily. The Staff are almost exclusively volunteers that live and work there for 2 weeks up to 6 months.

This is a beautiful and peaceful ecovillage situated close to the Italian/French border. It has been restored previously by volunteers and people who really cared about the place. The people who work here are extremely friendly and the people who stay here are warm, genuine and interested in the environment. There are some amazing hiking paths close by with stunning views. The food served is extremely tasty. I had an amazing weekend here and would jump at the chance of returning.

We stayed here almost two weeks in the spring 2016. It was a magical and unforgettable experience. Our room was simple, clean, and beautiful, with big windows looking out over the village and mountains. At night it was deeply quiet except for the sound of the frogs--which was wonderful. We slept so deeply. The food was healthy and delicious and it was fun for us and our kids (10 and 7) to eat with all the other guests and residents of the ecovillage. During the days we hiked -- this area is very beautiful-- and spent time just hanging out or exploring the village. Our kids made friends with the other children and the lovely animals: donkeys, dogs, cats. We loved eating the food fresh from their gardens: their olive oil is amazing! There was a festival while we were there and we did yoga, learned folk dancing, cake tasting, browsed the local food fair, and participated in a children's earth-art seminar. At night local musicians played in the main courtyard and we had a huge dance circle and a chance to try out our new folk-dancing moves. We watched the stars at night...read books from the little library. We didn't want to leave. The hosts made us feel like part of the community and we met many lovely people form all over who were there working, visiting, and variously passing through. This is an unforgettable place to visit.

Rooms are simple, do not expect luxury. But the (partly vegetarian) kitchen is delicious!!!

Un luogo magico, fuori dal tempo, dove ci si può riposare tanto, godere della bellezza della Natura e al contempo conoscere persone interessanti.

Abbiamo soggiornato con mia figlia in Ecovilaggio per una notte e 2 giorni.
Una bellissima esperienza in un posto tranquillo, persone molto amichevoli e cibo delizioso. Vorremmo sicuramente di ritornare al più presto.

Comunità ecosostenibile, autosufficiente, ospitale, vita comunitaria, ottimo per godere del mare (a pochi km) ed evadere dal ritmo frenetico.
Una sosta anche per un bicchiere di vino offerto volentieri.
I bambini possono vivere esperienze comunitarie e con la natura o giocare per le vie .

Wir reisten mit unserem 6m van an, auf dem schmalen Sträußchen haben wir es gerade noch um die Kurven geschafft. Der Parkplatz ist groß genug. Dem Besucher eröffnet sich eine andere Welt der Gelassenheit. Die Unterkunft war sauber und bequem, auch unsem Hund hat es genossen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Fußweg entlang der Schlucht hinter Torri war gesäumt von zahlreichen Wildkräutern, kleine Tümpel am Bach laden zum Baden ein. Ein wirklich toller Platz zum Abschalten, wir kommen wieder.

L'esperienza di visitare questo ecovillaggio, uno dei primi nati in Italia, è nata dalla curiosità di sapere cosa vuol dire vivere in comunità.
Chi si aspetta di trovare gente naif che vive in un mondo parallelo rischia di restare deluso.
Io ho trovato persone genuine, una comunità di famiglie che hanno deciso di condividere ideali di vita, risorse, spazi e lavoro.
Colpisce la serenità e la naturalezza con cui si affronta ogni compito, l'organizzazione in turni per cucinare, lavare i piatti o stare nei campi.
La struttura è stata preservata durante la ristrutturazione e risulta affascinante nel suo dedalo di viuzze e scalinate. Le stanze sono semplici, pulite e decorose. I bagni sono all'esterno, non in camera, ma questo è un pregio per lo spirito di unità.
Chiunque arrivi può sperimentare la condivisione, ma soprattutto conoscere persone di altri paesi e culture che hanno deciso di soggiornare o per turismo o per provare la vita in comunità.
Si tratta di un'avventura unica nel suo genere, da provare!

Un luogo speciale. Ci eravamo stati più di 10 anni fa, ci siamo tornati e il soggiorno di pochi giorni è stato eccezionale. Grande ospitalità, occasioni di incontri multiculturali (mentre eravamo lì c'era un gruppo internazionale di pittori), borgo delizioso, buon cibo e occasione per visitare i dintorni, sia sul mare che nell'affascinante entroterra ligure, sia in Francia, a pochi chilometri. Fantastica la passeggiata lungo la valle del Bevera, risalendo il fiume. L'ospitalità di Lucilla, Massimo, Cristina, Antonella e degli altri residenti, e il dolce panorama varrebbero già da soli il viaggio. Torneremo.
