Lovely place and hotel ...very much off the beaten track .. they have a pool which you can go to for the day ..34 euros for a day per couple ...and a restaurant and bar .. worth a visit ...

Spent two wonderful nights at Castello di Compiano. It’s a bit off the beaten track but well worth the extra effort. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was bountiful, and the restaurant served delicious local dishes. They arranged a private tour in English of the castle’s museums. The village of Campiano is charming and this is a perfect jumping off point for visiting some of the other historic castles in the area.

Love this place my wife & I visit every time we’re around which is at least once a year. There’s always something going on and the views are amazing.

Imagine you are in a fairytale.
You won't find WiFi in rooms, breakfast is quite poor. But you will definitely enjoy accommodation in this castle.
You can also enjoy private romantic room for additional cost.

Rooms are clean and convenient, personnel is very friendly. People say it is noisy here. Most probably you need to try staying here in the early October - almost no visitors here this time of year.

Beautiful place where have a dinner, y got crazy when i visited that place so chill so calm with good treat and nice tasty dishes, breathtaking views. Recommended

Historic castle, hosting a museum, hotel and wedding venue in a peaceful setting. We attended a wedding in the grounds, and stayed the night. Due to location, both castle and hotel rooms offer spectacular views, and have plenty of character without compromising on comfort. Whilst there, the 'al panigaccio' restaurant serves a local flat bread and other dishes which are worth tasting, all were served hot and were fresh and rich in flavour. I'd recommend a visit, it will be peaceful, memorable and the food delightful.

Amazing place. Very romantic and perfect for everyone. The only negative thing is that it is very distant from Parma which is a beautiful city.

We visited the castle for a leisurely tour while we were staying with friends of ours nearby. There was no event going on, so we were able to roam and explore the castle. It was a beautiful old space with a ton of history and an amazing panoramic view. We walked through a beautiful ballroom and it was easy to imagine fun banquet or reception taking place there or in the starlit courtyard. We even saw a deer grazing under a tree in the grounds far below us while enjoying the crazy heights of the castle turrets. We really enjoyed our visit!

I had to travel a bit to get there, but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Greeted with the majestic structure, I was amazed at both inside and out. As I did not visit for a tour, or a stay in the hotel, I cannot comment on this, I was attending a wedding and can only say that the service and food was fantastic, not to mention one of the waitresses, she was also outstanding 😍 In case she is reading this, the tall one who assisted me in finding the toilets. Overall, I would recommend visiting 👍

Well worth a visit and one of the better places in Italy outside Florence, Rome and Venice.

I love this place.

Visita largamente consigliata se vi trovate in zona. Gli interni sono pieni zeppi di riferimenti storici e anche il piccolo borgo merita una visita. Il castello è visitabile solo tramite prenotazione (personalmente telefonica) e con guida. Davide, che ci ha accompagnato nella visita, è stato semplicemente fantastico: affabile, professionale ed appassionato. Ideale per i bambini che rimarranno affascinati dai racconti legati al castello.
