Teatro Bistro & Wine Bar

Fantastic spot. Great view eating outside in the piazza. Food was top notch. Very fresh fish, homemade pasta and fabulous presentation. Portion sizes were large and price decent. Highly recommended. If I have to criticize, the gnoccetti were a tad overcooked for my liking but with freshly made gnocchi it's hard not to. That said, this was a 5 star experience. I had the fish mixer app, a gnocci dish and the steak main with a couple drinks came out to approx €55.

The terrace of this restaurant is perfectly located on the hill of Portoferraio on a big quare which is surrounded by trees. Under trees and open sky are all tables arranged in the way that almost all may overlook the bay. During night one may enjoy the lights of the bay and the stars ✨ above. A special warm atmosphere is present due to all the guests that enjoy this place.
The restaurant offers a simple dishes but quality dishes. If you look for a typical Elba style restaurant with a simple not too expensive menu card, this is definitely the place. The staff is extremely friendly, although they are very busy during the peak times. The dishes are good and typical. I have loved the place as it will was uphill offering a fresh breeze, a wonderful view on a open sky terrace. The food was accordingly to place. It definitely deserves my recommendation. It is pet friendly in addition 🐶

Me and my family use to have very very nice lunch at Teatro bistro.
The food was delicious with fair price, everything was super tasty and fresh.
The service was great.
I would definitely recommend this place and I can wait to come back.

Found this gem strolling through the old town. Absolutely delicious food, wine, fair pricing and a cozy atmosphere while sitting on the piazzetta overlooking the harbour. The staff is really friendly and it’s more locals than tourists (it’s definitely not a tourist trap). It’s better to reserve a table for dinner as they can get busy. Highly recommend a visit!

Busy restaurant but one waitor in particular was very helpful - I want to acknowledge Antonio and thank him. Pasta was delicious.

Lovely restaurant with interesting dishes, especially the pasta with gamberi crudi — unfortunately we wandered in later in the evening and sat on the terrace and not the piazza they use across the street which looked more picturesque

Ask for a table on the piazzetta - it’s a wonderful view of Portoferraio and the entire port. The tagliatelle is made fresh every morning, and the pairing of wild boar is one-of-a-kind.

The owner squeezed us in with no reservation and the service and food was amazing. Make sure to leave space for dessert. Molto Bene. Thank you so much.

Incredible food, wonderful setting, nice service. So good we went 2 nights in a row, and everything we had was either very good or excellent, not a single disappointment of the 6 or 8 dishes we shared. Standouts were the swordfish, octopus gnocchi, and cod grilled with orange with strawberry-basil mousse. So good. Great local wines and prosecco too. Not cheap, but well worth it.
