Torre della Zecca

I wish I could give this stunning work of art 6 stars. If I would have had binoculars, an open field of vision and 6 days I would still he processing this phenomenonal structure oozing detailed history. I wish I had researched the large numbers of statues and scenes covering the massive structure. The entrance line was insane surpassing 2 hours for entry. None the less this structures size, details, and location all make it a can't miss attraction.

It's was the final defence tower of Florence on the east side of the city, where it closed the circle of city walls towards the Arno.

Stunning views and lot's to see

Walked past this as we went up to the viewing area to watch the sun set. You can go in the tower too.

Once they minted the golden florin near this tower. A coin with a reputation that resulted in some countries keeping this coin until the introduction of the Euro, for instance in Holland. It was also a terrible place because people were hung on the gallows just outside the city walls. We can only imagine the terrible images this tower must have witnessed. Tuscanyguidesdirect

Beautiful structure and very ancient

Amazing with the best espresso and pastas. Easy to get vegan options at the restaurants.

It was so hot and we were feeling dehydrated. Just we found the bus stop there.

Town Square is beautiful but very busy when we went.

Astonishing landscape of Florenece. A place to reflect what is Italy and Florence. A park full of gardens and squares. Good for a weekend with family and dogs. Highly recommend. It is a good place, indeed.

One of the last towers of the old age city. All around is possible to admire the river Arno, and walk up to p.zale Michelangiolo, passing through the famous fountains, recently renovated. Very suggestuve and also nice walk to the narrow streets around the tower: visit the antique stamperia Edi Grafica, or the Bisonte. Old works still full of the essence of art.

Original and excellent construction with a great design and conservation.
