Villa Principe Leopoldo

A true 5-star hotel! It is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at, and especially befitting our honeymoon. It is a luxurious hotel with outstanding service, from the receptionist to the room service and valet! We booked the Panorama Suite with lake view, and it was absolutely amazing. Spacious, beautiful scenery and a nice private spa that can be easily reserved with the hotel.

This is among the most perfect stays I've ever experienced. The rooms and views were spectacular. The service was unobtrusive and just enough to make me feel well cared-for without feeling smothered. The staff had an elegant, competent, kind, and approachable quality. I recommend Villa Principe Leopoldo.

While planning our trip to Lugano we saw many hotel properties online, but when we saw Villa Principe Leopoldo, we know we had to stay there !

It is a chic and ultra luxurious property with breathtaking views of lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains!

The service is par excellence in all aspects. The rooms a spacious and well appointed with fantastic views of the lake !

There is a wonderful breakfast room with an excellent selection for breakfast.
The informal bar and dining is a great evening option if you do not want to linger in town for dinner.

This was surely a highlight of our trip to Lugano !!

I must however mention that the property is not walking distance from Lugano city center, and a taxi or hotel shuttle ride is definitely required to get into or back from town or the station.

My parents lived nearby and we spent many dinners and New Years celebrations here. A lovely place. They also have a tennis 🎾 court you can rent.

Perfect service, Massimo and Ricardo were the best, very thankful for the experience we had thanx to them. Perfect view, environment and food quality.

I visited the hotel two weeks back , and I would like to praise the excellent service from the moment of check-in until departure. The reception staff introduced us to all the hotel facilities and escorted us to our room to ensure we had everything we needed. I want to thank them individually.

I also want to commend the restaurant manager, she paid attention to the smallest details and ensured that the food served to us was suitable for us as Muslims. One of the most beautiful experiences we have ever had.

Very nice, clean & extraordinary hotel in Lugano. They gave me & my family a free room upgrade with lake Lugano view which was very nice from them. The view from the room was something special.

Excellent hotel, calm and relaxing atmosphere.
In particular, I just wanted to thank Mr.Stefano, he was so welcoming he served us with a fabulous wine to go with our dishes, At first I wanted to go for Amarone but he advised us to go for Pinot Nero as we were having mainly fish, just a little note to add to that - he served our wine on ice and not dipping the bottle in ice, that's only for a few.. thank you! looking forward to come visit once again! defo highly recommended!

We’ve come here a couple of times and every time we enjoy it. The views are incredible, just as promised. The villa is magnificent, the building and its surroundings are out of a movie.

But of course the restaurant has its own charm. Service is always incredible, they explained everything with detail and aid in your decision. The food lives up to the hype and is worth every penny. Definitely not a cheap eat but perfect for a special occasion. You cant come to Lugano and miss it.

The staff was the best. I was listed under my wife's name but the staff went out of their way to know my surname.

I came here with some of my relatives, and we were greeted well. We were only here for a nice dinner, and we order the 5-course meal. It was amazing, it was so delicious, and the staff was ready at all times and very helpful. The environment was really nice as well, and it looked really clean. Thank you!

This is one of the most romantically beautiful hotels in the world. The Special Spa experience was remarkably romantic because they give you a giant grotto all to yourselves to let you frolic in a sauna or pool or steam room or comfy loungers while you rub gooey sensual seaweed sauce all over your lover. Okay, it helped that I was there with my gorgeous new love, but the attendant certainly knew how to make us feel private. And the restaurant was superb - not cheap but a true eight course culinary experience that was possibly the best meal of my life. We will be coming back here again - and staying longer!

Location is great, since it is in a quieter area of Lugano. The view across the lake is tremendous! The rooms are amazing and really spacious. Breakfast is relatively small, but offers everything you want. They're a bit cheap on the fresh juices though. Come on!! Staff was very friendly. Only downside was the missing Spa. Well, they have one, but you can only book private sessions and they are costly. Nevertheless, a great experience overall!

AMAZING and every bit deserving of its Michelin star. Absolutely stellar service complimented with unbeatable views. Our overall dining experience at Ristorante del Principe (located inside Villa Principe Leopoldo) rightfully earns it the title as one of the premier and best restaurants in Lugano. The salt baked sea bass and lamb shoulder were out of this world, and our night was made even more perfect by the incredible, kind staff.
