By far the best restaurant we came across in the vicinity of our hotel during our 2-week stay in this part of Tuscany. Staff was amazing, food superb. We wanted a feast with Fiorentine steak and they delivered!

This restaurant is an absolute must. From starters to desert, everything is just delightful. Not only the restaurant is great, the staff is truly amazing there, just a wonderful bunch of people with amazing food 😍

We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Il Boccaccio of Caldana, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. As long-time customers of this restaurant, we were once again delighted of the exceptional quality that has made Il Boccaccio our favorite dining destination.

From the moment we walked through the door, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. The level of politeness and attentive service was truly remarkable. They ensured that every detail of the evening was taken care of, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the celebration.

Now, let's talk about the food—it was a culinary delight! We indulged in a variety of dishes that left our taste buds dancing with joy. The spaghetti croccante was a revelation with its perfect blend of flavors and the satisfying crunch. The tagliata meat was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, leaving us wanting more. Everything was accompanied by an excellent Morellino di Scansano from Terenzi winery. And the cheesecake... oh, the cheesecake! It was an absolute masterpiece, with its creamy texture and delectable taste.

One standout feature of Il Boccaccio is their own organic olive oil, which added an extra layer of richness and depth to every dish. The attention to detail in sourcing quality ingredients truly shines through. Additionally, we couldn't resist trying their exquisite Gin angel, made with Maremma only botanicals. It was a delightful surprise that elevated our celebration and added a touch of sophistication.

What made this birthday party truly exceptional was the warm welcome extended to our golden retriever. Il Boccaccio's pet-friendly policy made it possible for us to include our furry family member in the celebration. The genuine care and thoughtfulness shown towards our pet made the evening even more memorable.

In sum, our experience at Il Boccaccio of Caldana for my wife's birthday party was beyond our expectations. The entire staff has been outstanding. From the impeccable service to the outstanding food and wine, every aspect of our celebration was flawlessly executed. We left with hearts full of joy and beautiful memories that will be cherished for years to come. Delicious cuisine, wonderful location. A must for anyone looking for exquisite genuine savors from Maremma, a charming location and great service. The owner and chef, Sandro Signori, is truly passionate of his work. This is evidenced also by the sophistication of the ingredients he uses and his pleasant and gentle welcoming style of all the family (including our wonderful golden retriever!!). We look forward to coming back!

I feel I need to thank you for such a delightful meal. The pasta with orange has been one of the most inspiring and surprising dishes I’ve had. To find the slice at the bottom of my plate was simply touching. Like a small gift, as if someone wanted to tell you that they care about you. Thank you so much!

Food is Amazing, Staff is super friendly and service is almost perfect. Traditional and very tasty dishes made with local products.
Not many tables available (about 10) but quantity is not the priority when quality is so high.
Dog friendly (if doggo can behave in a restaurant).
Gorgeous little cosy restaurant with many different local wines available for a very affordable budget.

Fantastic experience! We were here for an anniversary dinner and we were treated very well. Dishes were very tasty and plated with a creative touch...great for instagram! Chef came by between dishes to give recommendations and make sure everything was ok. Very very good price/quality ratio!

We got to Boccaccio for recommendations of our hosts. We were staying at Veturlonia and drove all the way to Saldana just for Boccaccio and it was absolutely worth it. The food is great, and the veggie options are awesome. The wine is excellent and comes directly form the source. The best is the people, we had the chance to meet Sandro, the owner and his wife who is the chef. With were super friendly and open to have interesting conversations about the food. I highly recommend this place if you are in Tuscany.

Sweet restaurant, nice atmosphere. Very attentive and friendly staff that could explain us the menu in German. The food was nicely arranged. I am a big fan of the black salt :)

Ein fantastisches kleines wunderschönes Restaurant mit einer äußerst zuvorkommenden und freundlichen Belegschaft. Das Essen ist ein Hochgenuss, ebenso der Wein und die Aperitive! Wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder beim nächsten Urlaub!

Das Essen war gut. Die Bedienung freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man gibt sich große Mühe. Mir fehlt aber die Individuelle Umsetzung. Zum Beispiel ein wechselndes Gericht. Die Speisen sind gut aber es fehlt der Kick. Unter Sandro Signori war es auch mal eine spontane Küche mit Variablen. Das müßt ihr euch noch erarbeiten. Fertigküche gibt es überall.

Abbiamo soggiornato per soli cinque giorni nel paesino di Caldana, nell'arco dei quali siamo stati per ben due volte in questo ristorante: una volta provato tornarci è d'obbligo. Siamo stati accolti calorosamente dai propretari e dai camerieri; tutti estremamente gentili, simpatici e professionali, sempre con il sorriso sulle labbra.
Locale molto curato e accogliente.
Cucina superlativa.
Piatti ottimi, raccontano in pochi bocconi la tradizione culinaria tipica maremmana.
In particolare, non potete andarvene senza prima aver provato la Fiorentina (bestia da almeno 1.4kg) e le gustosissime pappardelle al cinghiale. Infine verrete stupiti da come un piatto semplice e apparentemente banale come delle patate al forno, possa invece racchiudere un'esplosione di sapore.
In due parole, se vi trovate in zona, provare il ristorante Boccaccio è un MUST.

Der Inhaber und seine Frau bedienen die Gäste selber. Das Essen ist qualitativ hochwertig und schön angerichtet. Es gibt traditionelle toskanische Gerichte. Die Pasta ist hausgemacht und auf den Punkt gekocht. Es herrscht eine freundliche Atmosphäre. Unsere Empfehlung sowohl für das Mittagessen als auch Abendessen.

La cordialità insieme alla cucina toscana tradizionale è un sodalizio vincente! Siamo stati da Boccaccio per una cena. Il simpaticissimo proprietario Sandro ci ha consigliato un ottimo vino (a dir poco paradisiaco) che si sposi con i piatti che abbiamo scelto (il gustosissimo galletto e il delizioso peposo). Siamo rimasti affascinati dal carisma di Sandro e soddisfattissimi dalla cena. Sicuramente da tornare!

Piatti superlativi anche per la scelta delle materie prime..... e la vera eccellenza è il maitre Virgilio che, al di là della gentilezza e della preparazione, sa davvero consigliare....raccomando anche il loro gin!
