Poggio la Croce

Visited this place in May 2019 and loved it! The location is great, not far from the beach. The views are stunning! I love the fact that it is located in the national park and it is quiet. I would really like to come back there one day. Highly recommended for ones who like to have quiet time away from cities and crowds. Service was good and the place is very clean.

We had a superb stay and thoroughly enjoyed the house, the hosts, the environment and the wonderful pool. We felt very at home and were stunned by the views. Only downside, don’t bring any work with you and try remote work here. The wireless is not always stable. All then more simply enjoy!

Absolutely amazing! Our hosts were very hospitable, and the villa was exceptionally clean. Great place to unwind and enjoy great views of the countryside. Nice beach within 40 minutes and Siena is only a 90 minute drive. Wish we would have booked more than 5 days here. Family friendly - we traveled with our kids (14, 12, 8) and they loved it too.

Simply fantastic!

In the heart of Maremma and close to the sea, lies this charming hotel.
The bungalows are wonderful. These are well maintained, clean, comfortable, energy efficient and modern. Surprisingly, none of the doors and windows had curtains. I would have loved curtains at least in the master bed room for intimate feeling and elegance.
Each bungalow has its terrace and private garden. The complex has a pool, that is very enjoyable.

The owners are friendly, courteous and ready to help. The complex is dog friendly. We took our three big dogs with us. It seemed to me that the dogs were more welcome than us!!!

There are wildlife in the complex. We saw fox, a heard of wild boars and a land turtle; plenty of birds, owls, swallow and hummingbirds. The complex is in the middle of a cork-oak plantation. This is the first time we saw cork (the bark) harvesting.
There are supermarkets, chemist shop, bread shop and plenty of restaurants nearby.

Plenty of parking. Very good value for money even though you might think that the tariff is high. Reservation essential.

We will strongly recommend the place and will very soon return. Thank you to the owners for just everything. We had great time.

Great little place at the end of a long winding road in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by forested hills, the sound of birdsong and a view that goes on forever.

Il miglior agriturismo dove siamo stati in tanti anni in Maremma: camere molto belle arredate con cura. Cucina completa di tutto. Location meravigliosa. Il chilometro di sterrato per arrivare non è assolutamente un problema. Host molto cortesi e gentili. Assolutamente consigliato

Superbe endroit ! Un ensemble de maisons bien disposées pour respecter l’intimité de chacun et une super piscine à débordement sur une magnifique et large vue. C’est très en retrait de la route principale avec une petite route sur 3km et 1 km chemin avec des ravines ce qui ne plait pas aux voitures à caisse basse. Très bon accueil. La décoration est superbe, de bon goût et de qualité. Cuisine très bien équipée ainsi que toutes les autres pièces. Lave linge, lave-vaisselle (un luxe pour ces deux), BBQ.

Ein wunderschöner Ort. Wir waren im Glicine Haus und haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Den Pool haben die Kinder jeden Tag nutzen dürfen , das Haus ist sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett. Die Lage ist etwas abseits, (dafür unglaubliche Ruhe!) ein Auto ist erforderlich, von dort sind aber viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Strände der Umgebung zu besuchen. Wichtig : Nicht mit Navi fahren, besser mit Google Maps. Das Navi leitet einen gerne über eine kaum befahrbare Strasse (Waldweg mit tiefen Schlaglöchern). Das haben wir leider zu spät bemerkt!

Se avete voglia di trascorrere le vostre vacanze in un paradiso dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato lasciando spazio a momenti di relax, al volo delle rondini sopra la splendida piscina, alla vista dei cinghiali con i loro piccoli, questo è il posto giusto.. Camere accoglienti e silenziose, spazi confortevoli, cucina accessoriata di lavastoviglie e attenzione ad ogni più piccola necessità. La cortesia di Margherita e Sergio, i proprietari, la loro sempre costante presenza, mi hanno fatta sentire tranquilla e serena, in un ambiente fatto di natura, dove le stesse abitazioni sono state progettate per essere il più possibile ecologiche seguendo i principi della bio architettura.

Posto incantevole immerso nelle colline della Maremma, a soli 10/15 minuti dal mare e non solo, è in una posizione strategica anche per visitare oppure fare belle escursioni a piedi e in bici o, perché no, rilassarsi nella stupenda piscina con una vista mozzafiato.
I proprietari sono gentilissimi e gli appartamenti dotati di ogni confort, oltre che molto belli.

Poggio la Croce ci ha colpito per la posizione in mezzo ai boschi ed il panorama ragguardevole. Il concetto di “ecoturismo” trova qui la sua compiuta espressione. Ci si rende conto che flora e fauna sono i veri “host” ed abbiamo il dovere di rispettarli. È la natura che ci ospita e noi non possiamo che sentirci “parte tra le parti”, comprendendo il senso dell’unicità di questo stupendo spettacolo del quale siamo spettatori e protagonisti, senza velleità “colonialiste”. Margherita e Sergio hanno fatto di queste regole la loro filosofia. Grazie quindi a loro, che ci hanno accolto, magnifici artefici di questa splendida struttura.

Très belle localisation, la vue est splendide. Vous pourrez aussi probablement apercevoir des sangliers, cerfs, blaireaux et autres.
Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques.

Attention cependant, pour y arriver il y a un chemin en terre de plus ou moins 1,5km avec pas mal de ravines.

Verstecktes Paradies im Grünen

Die sehr gepflegte und schöne Anlage mit einem riesigen Grundstück besteht aus drei Häusern (mit bis zu drei Wohneinheiten) sowie einem ca. 150 Meter entfernten separaten Haus (Glicine) mit einer Wohneinheit über zwei Etagen - in diesem separaten Haus haben wir 10 Tage verbracht. Die drei Häuser teilen sich einen ca. 25 Meter langen Infinity-Pool mit einem unschlagbaren Blick runter ins Tal. Das Haus Glicine teilt sich einen ca. 20 Meter langen Pool (inkl. einem kleinen Sprungbrett) mit den Besitzern - der Blick von einer der beiden Glicine-Terrassen ist ähnlich spektakulär wie der Infinity-Pool-Blick. Die Anlage ist über eine kleine ca. 3 Kilometer lange Nebenstraße (davon ca. 1 Kilometer Schotterpiste) zu erreichen. Die Besitzer sind sehr sympathisch und zuvorkommend aber auch auf die Privatsphäre der Besucher bedacht. Genauso wie die gesamte Anlage sind auch die Wohneinheiten in einem tip-top Zustand und haushaltsmäßig gut ausgestattet. Die Betten kamen meinem Rücken aufgrund etwas härteren Matrazen sehr entgegen, sind allerdings etwas kurz für Menschen über 1,85m. Insgesamt haben wir hier einen super entspannten erholsamen Urlaub verbracht und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Aufenthalt hier.

Aller guten Dinge sind (mindestens) zwei

Nachdem wir vor zwei Jahren zehn fantastische Tage hier verbracht haben, sind wir dieses Mal direkt für drei Wochen ins Häuschen Glicine gekommen 😉 Erneut war der Aufenthalt phänomenal schön und entspannend mit toller Privatsphäre und der Kontakt mit den Besitzern freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anlage ist wie damals in einem sehr akkuraten Zustand und absolut sauber, das Wasser im Pool ist einfach knallermäßig klar. Ein besonderer Dank geht diesmal an die „Rechte Hand“ der Anlage Alessandro (hoffe der Name ist richtig geschrieben?!?), der mir ausgiebigst bei einer Autopanne geholfen hat.

Ich könnte so viel Positives und Schönes schreiben, aber man muss es selber erleben, sehen und fühlen. Ein wunderbarer und paradiesischer Ort für Ruhesuchende und Geniesser.

Poggio magnifico situato in una posizione tranquilla e strategica. Case molto belle ed accoglienti dotate di ogni confort. Lo consiglio sicuramente.

Posto magico immerso nella natura. Sergio e Margherita due cordialissimi padroni di casa. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
