The restaurant served traditional and local Italian food. Nowhere near American food as mentioned on Google.
The Service was amazing, such a friendly man. If seven stars would be available they would get it from me. The man spoke IT/ EN/ DE and taking a lot of time explaining about local wines.
The food was a small gamble, since we didn't know meals. However i would gamble my mother next time i go to this restaurant, the food is AMAZING!!
Prices are as friendly as the staff!

Stunning meal. The best we had while in Tuscany. The service was outstanding and the food heavenly. Very worth a visit. I'd go back in a heartbeat! The menu is small but the quality is amazing!

It was absolutely delightful. Don't let the small menu scare you away from this hidden gem in the middle of Scarlino, because it was truly delicious.

Location, food, wine and service all come together for a wonderful and authentic experience. It’s a busy little place, so reserve a table. The menu is very limited, but each item is lovingly prepared. David knows his wines… and steered us accordingly 😋.

We’ve been coming back many many years now, every time we are in Tuscany which is a few times a year. Davide and his mother are wonderful and the food is the best!! Great quality and so fresh.

TL;DR (short version)
Amazing and comforting home-style food with professional staff.

From my understanding it is a family restaurant with "Mama" as the chef. Atmosphere and service were kind, attentive and professional. From the Menu I tasted 2 main dishes and both were extraordinary.
1. Braised wild boar stew (Cinghiale - locally popular)
It wasn't too fatty, yet very rich and comforting. The background tastes of (I think locally grown) vegetables elevated this dish to perfection.

2. Pork neck with fruits

Pork pairs well with dried fruits but not many chefs can execute the correct balance between sweet and umami. But here they(Mama) succeeded.

I could taste the experiences and tradition in the dishes, and feel that the chef's style/profile is well formed and crystalized. At least for my taste buds ;) Wish only the best and looking forward to eat here again.

Cosy restaurant with excellent food and wine. Very friendly owner who guides you in a competent way through the world of regional wines. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic. Everything we took it was extremely tasty and it was prepared with love. The price are cheap and the owners of this little hosteria are friendly and kind.

Super gemütliches Restaurant. Der Service ist sehr freundlich auch in deutsch. Die Karte ist eher klein aber dafür hat uns alles super geschmeckt. Und es ist eben mal etwas typisch toskanisches. Wir hatten die gemischten crosstini zur Vorspeise, danach ein feines geschmortes Wildschwein und Schweinefleisch mit Pflaumen und Äpfeln. Mascarpone Nachtisch und eine kleine Auswahl an Schokoladen.

Posto rustico e semplice situato nel centro di un piccolo paesino sopra Follonica, Scarlino. Pochi piatti ma eccezionali. Una cena maremmana che supera ogni aspettativa. Il titolare è un grande esperto di vini e molto simpatico, la mamma una cuoca fantastica. Il conto? Più che onesto (4 piatti, 4 calici di vino, 2 dolci: 78 euro). Assolutamente, vale la pena!!

Abbiamo cenato 2 sere all'Enoteca, che dire se cercate autenticità e qualità dovete assolutamente provare.
La vera ospitalità Toscana!
David il proprietario consiglia piatti squisiti con ottimi vini.
Da provare il maialino in agrodolce ricetta storica dell'enoteca.
Abbiamo assaggiato sia rossi che bianchi della zona davvero ottimi e rapporto qualità prezzo super!!

Locale situato al centro del paese di Scarlino, per fortuna piccolo con pochi tavoli ed è quello giusto per una serata tranquilla,
Il proprietario Davide è simpaticissimo e molto alla mano
Cibo ottimo e di qualità la maggior parte fatto da loro...dai crostini eccellenti alle marmellate di accompagnamento ai formaggi.... Salumi tutti del posto buonissimi....
Vini ne hanno una vasta scelta e Davide se desideri ti aiuta nella scelta... Bravi

Der Besitzer sehr freundlich (spricht auch deutsch).
Das Essen zur Auswahl sehr gering aber dementsprechend auch lecker.
Wir hatten die Suppe und das Wildschwein so wie ein Dessert.
Dazu noch der passende Wein, der dort empfohlen wird, und alles passt.
