Villa Marina

What an incredible stay!! We stayed at Villa Marina about 2 weeks ago and had such a wonderful stay. Angelo helped us with EVERYTHING. We adore him and his attention to detail and ability to answer all our questions. The Villa is gorgeous and on the water. We were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast, kayaking, beautiful sunset from the room, the jacuzzi was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again. Angelo gets an A+ and the Villa as well. We loved our stay in Bellano.

Peaceful and stunningly beautiful place to spend a few days. Room was lovely and immaculate. Breakfast had a nice variety. Angelo was an incredible host - kind, funny and thoughtful - and took care of every detail from beginning to end. Thank you!

Perfect stay! The emplacement directly at the lake. Lovely garden, nice private beach. Small hotel with beautiful details and historic rooms with perfect decorations. Warm welcome - also with icecold prosecco in the room. Wonderful jacuzzi. Good breakfast - which can also be enjoyed on the terrace. Secured parking available for a charge. The villa is the perfect starting point for excursions on and round Lake Como area as it is in walking distance to Bellano port. Special thanks to Angelo, he is a great host and made everything for us to have a memorable stay.

Beautiful place! Wonderful staff and best breakfast! Quiet Bellano is easy to reach other towns in Lake Como but not so crowded!

I can’t say enough about our experience here! My wife and I were on a month-long honeymoon throughout Italy, Switzerland and France, and this was our absolute favorite place that we stayed! Marco and his wife Tanya were as good as it gets when it comes to managing hotels! Truly, they were that good! Only 6 rooms so you get such personalized service that I can’t decide which we enjoyed more, the idyllic vistas or the service! Trust me, if you’re visiting Lake Como book this place now!

Our stay was incredible. Marco and Tanya were super nice, the breakfast was incredibly good (especially the cakes), the lake view was breathtaking. Our room was huge, clean, beautiful and decorated with love. Thanks a lot, it was very nice.

Only stayed at this place one night but Angelo made it very remarkable. The place is good but made much better by Angelo, he really took care of us.

We just spent the first few days of our Italian honeymoon here at Villa Marina! We originally opted to stay in Bellano for a quiter and more “local” feel of the Lake Como towns, and we’re pleased with that decision. It’s a 5-15min ferry to any of the other larger lake towns. This stay would not have been the same without Marco and Tanya, they made every possible accommodation for us including dinner reservations and taxi arrangements. They went above and beyond to offer recommendations and provide instructions for getting around… even surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco when we checked in. Their complimentary breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, make sure to indulge in some espresso and Tanya’s cakes that she makes homemade!! We also dined in their restaurant one night, which was very good also. We hope to cross paths with this beautiful place again, sad to have left them so soon. Thank you Marco and Tanya! We will never forget you!

10/10. Firstly, Marco and Tania are incredible hosts - super friendly, always helpful, hospitality experts and good fun. And the hotel, wow! Historical building with all the conveniences needed but respectful of its history and traditions. Bedrooms are idyllic and charming but so comfortable. Outside there are lots of areas for relaxing and winding down. Have a drink overlooking the lake after a swim. My kids adored the jacuzzi and kayaking from the hotels private beach. And of course the breakfast, simply superb. In short, don't miss this place.

My (now) fiancée and I stayed at Villa Marina and it was great.
The place is of course great, comfortable and beautiful but the big plus was the Staff. Marco and Tanya were just amazing.
We really had a super time thanks to them, both at the Hotel (for check-in and breakfast in the morning) but also at the restaurant Dolce Vita (for dinner)...what a crazy work rythm.. We really really enjoyed talking and share with them, receiving their recommandation and explanation regarding local food, local wine, the lake and so many other topics. We really would like to thank them because we had an amazing stay at Villa Marina thanks to them !!!

Beautiful historic villa with tastefully furnished rooms. We particularly enjoyed the garden and the terrace. The breakfast offers a surprisingly rich buffet variety. The view over Lake Como is breathtaking and the hospitality of the staff remarkable.

Where do I begin to describe the perfect holiday?
Should I begin with the perfect location? The entire house is so beautiful, on the inside as on the outside! Just like Marco an Tanja! The couple who runs the place are amazing! So friendly and helpful. For a nice restaurant recommendation or just a little chat, they always where there for us!
We enjoyed the breakfast in front of the most amazing view we've ever seen with the most amazing cake! (Made by Tanja every day! So delicious! Please try the magic chocolate cake and thank me later)
If you stay in this lovely location you can take a 7 minute walk to the center of the village for a boat rent to explore the lake or take the ferry to another village. Or you just use the day, to relax on the terrace and work on your tan or read a nice book. You always can order something to drink or a little snack. You also have a direct access to the lake which we very enjoyed!
The location also has gated private parking, which we also used. The rooms are very nice and clean and we had the pleasure of a lake and garden view. The garden on the property is so lovely designed.
I hope my review helped you decide to stay at this little paradise and you will enjoy it as much as we did!
We will definitely come back and recommended it to every friend we have.

Gorgeous hotel with an amazing staff. Marco and his team made us feel some comfortable and welcome immediately. Great and relaxing springboard for lake como

All aspects of our stay were excellent! If only there were more accommodations like this in the world. Super high standard of cleanliness, very fast and easy communication during and after booking when doing modifications, warm welcome and genuinely wonderful service by Marco and Tanya who take excellent care of their guests. If you're looking for a more boutique style hotel in Lake Como (and not overcrowded huge hotels), Villa Marina should be on the top of your list. It only has 6 rooms I believe, so not many people go in and out - for a family with a little toddler like us a perfect setup during pandemic times. Private beach makes it easy to access the Lake whenever you like and if you like sunbathing you can use Solarium 1 (bottom porch) or Solarium 2 (upper porch) as Marco calls them. There is also a jakuzzi with lakeview for a romantic night wtih prosecco... I could go on an on about how great our stay was and can't wait to come back again. PS: If you book, ask Tanya for Chocolate lava cake with pear for breakfast and thank me later ;)

I am definitely coming back here and I am so happy we've found this place.

They have just opened. The house is an old refurbished villa with stunning lake views and a jacuzzi that just makes it more than perfect.
You can also book kayaking for single or double (€10-€15).

The breakfast is very complete with lots of delicious traditional Italian pastries.
I certainly recommend you to have breakfast outside, you'll be mesmerized by the lake views.

The staff is very friendly, welcoming and they are very proud of their hotel.

The room is very cozy. Bathrooms are new and everything works perfectly.

Location is ideal as Bellano is a quiet town next to Varenna.

They have a free and private parking.

Beds and pillows are hard. Building can be nosy during the week as it's located next to a busy road.

Angelo gave us such a warm and personal welcome when we arrived. He personally showed us to the room which was beautiful : clean, amazing view of the lake, comfy bed.. even a bottle of sparkling wine for our welcome :) Breakfast was a feast, and was enjoyed in the beautiful gardens. Lots of fresh fruit, delicious local cheeses and good coffee!

The Staff was so very helpful and assisted us with anything we needed or wanted. Beautiful gardens and wonderful view, one could not ask for a better location if you are looking for a relaxing calm hotel. Breakfast was excellent and always brought to our out door table. Excellent service and always with a smile.

The villa is a beautiful property in a gorgeous location. Stylishly renovated, offers all the comforts you might need. Great for relaxing on the lakefront, dip in the lake or a little activity with kayaks. Walking distance to Bellano.
