Grand Hotel Panoramic

TLDR: clean, excellent value for money, friendly staff, poor wifi.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. We were given a room at the end of the corridor which we were happy with. Good size, nice bathroom, hallway, closet, long dresser, drawers. The bathroom had a comfortable shower, wc, bidet and hairdryer, nice window with shutters. Bedside there were bedside cabinets, power sockets. It's worth bringing a converter or distributor, or buying locally, as there is only one socket for each of the bedside cabinets, the smaller 10 amp variety. The schuko plug does not go in. There's a TV with Italian channels, and a small fridge that can cool quite a lot of things when neatly packed away. The room is cooled by fancoil, if you need a cold beer quickly, just put it on and it's ready to drink after 15 minutes :). The fancoil and the fridge are a bit noisy, but we didn't mind, even though we are sensitive to that.
The cleanliness was first class, the maids were kind and attentive. We did not have to be told once about anything.
The wifi in the rooms (at least in ours) was pretty poor. Even when it was connected it was slow, or when it was peak time it disappeared for minutes. I think this could be improved.
They were also nice at reception, although they didn't have much to do with us as we didn't have any problems.
Breakfast was the usual continental buffet breakfast. It's not a big thing but it does the job, you won't go hungry. I ate for two weeks, with a little attention you can vary it. The waitress at breakfast is really cute and smiling, a great way to start the day. The coffee is quite drinkable for Italy. The sweetener tablet is behind the coffee machine!
The location of the hotel is quite good. No noise, the windows are very well insulated, although in the evenings a couple of bikers do pull the throttle, but you don't hear anything else. The Funicolare is very close, well worth the go up to Montecatini Alto. If you want to get to crowded area, a walk through the park will take you to the centre of town in 10 minutes. On the way there is the old spa building, definitely worth a visit. There's a nice big car park opposite the hotel, very convenient if you're coming by car. There was always a space.
The hotel pool is usable, finally a place with deep water, you can swim a few laps normally. Thank you Hotel! The sun beds are comfortable and when we were there, there were always free. There is a pool buffet, good for a beer (although 8 EUR) but don't expect great shows.
All in all we were maximally satisfied with the hotel, we will smoothly go there again if we go that way. I think the value for money is among the best in the area.
Suggestions to the hotel:
- Improve the wifi
- Could have more hangers. It is, but could easily fit more.
- Have soap at the sink for hand washing, because it's more environment friendly than opening the individually wrapped shower gels.

Nice hotel. A bit older but all is in good shape all is very clean. Good position, city is close, train to montecatini Alto is very close.

Nice pool. Good breakfast. Also good with. Children and dogs.

We have just spent 5 days at The Grand Panoramic Hotel in Montecatini Terme. We really enjoyed our time here. The staff were very friendly, especially the girl who worked in the Bar/pool area. She had excellent English and had a wonderful way with customers. Our room was very adequate, sizewise, with a large, modern bathroom. The air-conditioning was great, especially since the daily temperatures were touching 40° some days. The pool area was also very nice. The pool was lovely and well presented and very tidy at all times. I would definitely go back to the Grand Panoramic Hotel.

Hotel was flexible to adjusting my booking.

Room was very nice and clean, large window and lovely view. Very helpful reception staff (help with restaurant booking, sightseeing tips) and breakfast. I really recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Montecatini Terme.

Friendly staff who go the extra mile, beautiful room! Lots of nooks for a quiet time with a book with a good view

Ciao a tutti.. Abbiamo soggiornato presso l'hotel Panoramic in tre persone 5 notti fino al 14 agosto 2023. Accoglienza, pulizia e servizio sono di ottimo livello.
Colazione ricca e di buona qualità.
La camera a noi assegnata era al 4 piano, molto ampia, moderna con un ampio terrazzo e vista spettacolare.
La struttura si trova a 2 passi dalla funicolare che porta a Montecatini Alta.
Piscina di discreta dimensione.
Consigliato!!!

Hotel situato nei pressi della funicolare, molto comodo per andare a Montecatini alto.
Personale gentile e disponibile.
Le camere sono ben tenute.
Colazione ricca di dolce e salato.
Si può usufruire del piccolo centro benessere all'aperto a 20 euro per tutto il giorno dalle 10 alle 20. Comprende sauna e idromassaggio riscaldato più attrezzi per il fitness.

Ottima posizione, zona tranquilla appena fuori dal centro. Accoglienza professionale da parte del personale. Camera grande con doppio bagno perfetta per due coppie. Pulita e silenziosa. Parcheggio in struttura con pochi posti e le strade intorno il parcheggio non è permesso, ho dovuto parcheggiare un paio di vie più in là tornando la sera tardi.

Bellissima esperienza presso questa struttura. Locale pulito, piscina molto bella e sempre aperta. Colazione al mattino molto abbondante. Personale disponibile e cordiale. Disponibilità di noleggiare gratuitamente le biciclette per raggiungere più velocemente il centro città. Speriamo di tornarci presto!!

Bell'hotel, camere spaziose e pulite. Buona colazione e bella piscina. Una menzione speciale al personale di una professionalità fuori dal comune, sempre presente ma mai invadenti, a volte non ci si rendeva nemmeno conto fossero lì affianco. Bellissima esperienza, torneremo sicuramente!
