Hotel Cristallo

Not quite sure why this is classed as a 4* hotel?! It should be 5*!! There is nothing negative I can think of to say about this hotel. We had the most amazing 5 day stay there in the Bellavita Suites and wish we had stayed longer. The rooms are modern, beautiful, clean and comfortable with the most amazing views overlooking the mountains. Set in an idyllic location, you literally won't have to leave to experience the beauty of mountain living but if you do venture out, there is so much to do in the Dolomite's and this hotel is well situated as most of the major attractions are at most, an hours drive away.
The customer service and staff are fantastic - warm and friendly and they were willing to help with literally anything. Massive thank you to Eleanora who went out of her way to make our stay so amazing.
I'd definitely get the half board + option if you are staying here as there are no options for places to eat nearby. The restaurant and food was excellent - everything was fresh and organic and tasted amazing. Being restricted to a vegetarian diet, the chefs went out of their way to think of suitable dishes and the 5 course/ 2 hour dinners felt like a fabulous production every night.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Cristallo! The staff were exceptional and were very attentive and welcoming. They helped us review our hiking trails before we left on a 3 night hut-to-hut, and ensured we left excited and well prepared.

Breakfast was also delicious with a huge selection. I’d highly recommend!

Amazing hotel! Very attentive, honest, informative and nice staff! Plus the hotel is beautiful, modern with many elements from the area, enhancing the nature and beauty of the Dolomites. The pool, saunas, and relaxing areas are amazing too, I just wish they would offer a têxtil sauna since the naked saunas are not so common to me but towel only without clothes/swimming clothes is fine too. My entire experience was great at cristallo, they are prepared to attend you with equipments and tools for activities outside the hotel, they offer classes and activities in the hotel, and they can suggest activities in case you didn’t plan anything. They even greeted us with welcoming drinks and gave us a good bye gift. Overall, it was one of the best stays

I have been there in the start of July together with my family. They welcomed us with love and gifts and were very helpful in anything we needed. The food was delicious. We enjoyed every moment and would definitely come again.

Excellent hotel in the beautiful Val Badia. We loved our six night stay and would definitely return.
We especially enjoyed the dinners (great quality, nice mix of Italian and Ladin/South Tyrolean cuisines), activities (the lunch at their mountain hut is not to be missed!) and the cozy wellness area (kuddos for the daily relaxing but also fun aufguss).

Stay here! Very friendly, incredible service, rooms, Spa. Very convenient location for all mountain activities. The trail by the river is right below the hotel. This takes you to Corvara or the other direction to Badia or up the valley towards to a pass and many hiking biking trails.

My wife and I spent 6 nights at the hotel Cristallo and had the most memorable experience. Exceptional food (we booked 3/4 board), service, pool/spa and room. The front desk team were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Location in Alta Badia was perfect, right between Val Gardena and Cortina. The guided hikes (with Luca) were varied and beautiful. We rarely stay at the same location but if we do return to the Dolomites we most certainly will stay at Hotel Cristallo.

The best 4 ⭐ Hotel in Alta Badia...that I've been too.

Almost absolutely perfect, literally 99.9% perfect. The service was a traditional friendly Italian service. Lovely, smiley, happy employees working on the desk, at the bar and in the restaurant. It doesn't matter what you ask for, 4 more pillows, 2 extra bowls of fantastic bucatini amatriciana (that's right, pasta for desert is possible) pasta.

The bar was peaceful throughout the day, but also quite lively in the evening when the live piano player was around (which was beautifully played). The bar men and women were again friendly and inventive! We threw all kinds of cocktails at them and they managed to make them all, with some extra flare!

There were extra nibbles throughout the day. Sunday evening there was a buffet of free sushi, cakes, fish, meats, pizzas...a true Italian feast! You'd think we were at the wedding of the infamous Michael Corleone. (Side note, I'd have signs up or tell the customers that this service is on, as some people missed out).

The spa, oooooooooo that was lovely. Outside pool in the evening under the stars in the mountains was truly special. Steam room, saunas, fresh fruit, flavoured water and many relaxing rooms. Plus, a zero child policy...winner winner. The gym was fine, no problems there, maybe a few extra things, but who's really going to the gym on a ski holiday?

Lastly the restaurant, an all inclusive hotel usually let's itself down on the food, BUT the restaurant here was stupendous. You choose an entree, starter, main and dessert (always a buffet of cheese, yes a lot of cheese!). All of which were so tasty. I mean seriously bloody good. The meat was cooked to perfection, the plates were decorated as if I was fine dinning in London. The wine selection was mental, I mean really if you love Italian wine they've got a bottle or two (or 4!) for you. I would say, if you're a fussy eater, try the food - choose a couple extra plates. If you find nothing you like to eat, well then grow up and stop being so fussy because the food really is delicious and there's something for everybody.

This doesn't apply to me, but there's a big kids area you can drop off the kids. Including a kids pool bit, which looked horrible for me, but if you're a parent I suppose it's ideal.

NEVERTHELESS, the downsides are.... the beds, they're not that comfortable. If you like the soft and squishy mattress, just pack a mattress topper. (I'll be doing that next year!), this is also same for the pillows. Yet the pillows aren't that bad. There's free cake and tasty Italian treats, maybe add free tea and coffee? 5-7€ for tea is a little cheeky, but I get it. They need to offer wine decanters for wine of a certain age / price. For a bonus point the shower's could change, the higher you have the shower head the weaker the pressure, however there's a bath so not all that bad.

Anyway, it's a yes! I'll come again, maybe even in the summer and winter. All in all a very well thought out hotel, a 5 star experience.

We’ve spent an absolute fantastic vacation at the Hotel Cristallo in La Villa. Everything was beyond special - the excellent quality of the food, the amazing spa area, the included offers (wine tasting with sommelier Emanuela, Grappa tasting, live music, the aperitif in the garden on Sunday evenings…), the cleanliness of the rooms, the modern design features throughout the building. We especially want to thank our lovely waitress Elena for taking such good care of us during the wonderful dinners at night. She was so attentive, friendly, and full of positive energy that she made the evenings a special pleasure for us. A really delightful person to be around! The architecture of the outside pool area and the saunas, the soothing background music, the exquisite bar - all these amenities made us feel great throughout our whole stay. If there is anything negative to mention at all, I would say that the noise coming from the street right next to the hotel wasn’t suiting the charming atmosphere, and the opening hours of the sauna area (3.00 pm) were not ideal. Otherwise we highly recommend this beautiful place in the heart of the Dolomites and are looking forward to coming back one day.

I spent a fantastic New Year's Eve in this hotel with my family.
The hotel is excellently located in the Alta Badia area and offers an exceptional SPA, a special gourmet restaurant and amazing facilities for children. Everything is designed for holidays and relaxation for adults and children.
All the staff are kind and friendly ready to help you and solve any request from the guests.

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon in Italy. Out of all the places we stayed, Hotel Cristallo was by far the best. From the time we walked in, we were treated so well by the staff. The hotel itself was amazing: comfortable rooms, great outdoor area, and the spa area was amazing. We also had dinner the one night we stayed and it was by far the best dinner of our trip. Compliments to the chef. They set up a special table for us at dinner since it was our honeymoon. Our only regret is that we didn't book more time at this hotel. If we ever return to the Dolomites we will definitely be staying here again. Might be the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

A very nice hotel with professional staffs. You could join hotel events or daily plans to go on hiking or bike ridding or even enjoy relaxing Spa at the hotel. I will definitely recommend to stay here minimum 2 nights to enjoy hotel activities!

The hotel chef menu is very worthwhile to give it a try!

A wonderful hotel with very good food and friendly staff. Rooms very clean. Beautiful comfortable wellness. We will definitely be back next year.

A pearl on a side of the street between Corvara and La Villa. Great hospitality and everything in right order. Of course the swimming pool is not an Olympic size. Room are clean and nice. Just right place for one week ski stay.

Lovely, family-run hotel in the Alta Badia valley. Nice, spacious and clean rooms. Lovely restaurant with an interesting, eclectic menu. Great wine list!

10 from 10. Not ski in/ski out, but shuttle buses work very good (10-15 minutes maximum for waiting)

Great rooms, the service is outstanding, one adult, one kids pool, kids room, organized activities, close to hiking trails.

A gem of a hotel. Great spa, great facilities, fantastic food and efficient, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
