Albergo Centrale Bologna

We had a great time at the hotel. It is perfectly situated to enjoy all of central Bologna but not right in the middle of the noise. Many restaurants nearby. Its situated near "little Venice" just off the main shopping street. Our room was small but all that we needed, it included a safe which was locked out but the team resolved. The breakfast was simple but spot on (continental) with lots of choice of pastries, cakes, fruit, yogurt and breads. There were some small niggles of the room, but not worth noting in the review as very specific to the room we stayed in and did not detract from our stay,

Location is quite a bit of a walk from the Station Bologna Centrale. However, the apartment offered by the hotel for 4 people are amazing. The space given was ample, with a lot of cooking accessories like pots and pans all made ready and available in the room. On top of that, the staff members are all very friendly and accommodating, even as to keeping us updated with information such as train strikes and helping guide us. Though breakfast buffet had a fair amount of options, they aren't as appetizing as I expected.

I was in Bologna for one night and chose this hotel for the central location. I only have good things to say! The bed was so comfortable (where's in my 5 star hotel in Rome I actually had to sleep on the floor, because the bed was so horrible), breakfast was plentiful and included, Wifi worked well. Room was simple, but had everything I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful (when I had to change my reservation). Will stay again when in Bologna!

Our arrival into Bologna was midnight and this budget stay for 6-7 hrs was perfect, clean and comfortable. Breakfast downstairs was included with a nice selection and they held our luggage while we visited the city sites for about 4 hours before leaving. Reservation emails to my questions were timely and friendly, the hotel location is walkable to the main train station and to many of the city sites. Highly recommend.

Great location. Our triple room was dated but spacious enough and warm, with a large shower. Breakfast is quite abundant. Of special note is hotel manager Marcello, who was invaluably helpful and kind in many respects. Most particularly, he spent quite some time helping us order train tickets back to Milan airport and coordinating assistance for the train trip for my 82 year old father, who had hurt his leg during our stay. We cannot thank him enough.

Very friendly Staff, the hotel is located in a quiet beautiful place in the center. The rooms are very clean always, the breakfast impeccable!! I highly recommend it!!

Location was great! 15 minute walk from train station, 5 minute walk to all other attractions. Receptionist was very helpful and gave excellent recommendation for dinner. Room was spacious and clean (ceiling window for excellent natural lighting)

Brilliant location! Clean, tidy rooms. Shower is a little on the small side and wouldn’t be any use to someone who is slightly larger. Breakfast is delicious and lots of options available including cold meats, fruit, yoghurt, croissants, toast, cereals. Nuts and dried fruits plus more

Great value hotel situated in the heart of Bologna. Staff were fantastic and friendly throughout. Rooms were decent size, clean and well set up. Breakfast buffet was solid if not spectacular. For the money, it's was spot on.

Very helpful staff and friendly! The room was nice and the windows were large and let in quite a bit of light but were thick enough to keep the traffic noise to a minimum. Us spoiled Americans are used to large bathrooms and in most of the Airbnb that we stayed were very small. However since this is a legit hotel, the bathroom were more spacious. They had a very nice complimentary breakfast setup in a room that included nice pastries and a cafe. The location of the hotel was great! Just a few walking steps to some great restaurants, bars and gelato shops. Fantastic clothing stores and a supermarket nearby as well. Would love to stay here again for a few more days next time

We stayed 5 days here. Wonderful place. Clean. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Walking distance to all the important places. Right off Ugo Bassi and bus lines. Very quiet.

If you want a 5* with dining, cocktail bar, lounge and pool . This is not for you and don't be put off by first impressions because it is located down a small side street. Go through the doors and it all changes. Small but bright.Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms - we had a new on-suite. Nice breakfast bar. The great feature is that it is smack in the center of the old city. Only 100 yds from the main square, Cathedral, restaurants, shops walking streets and the heart of Bologna. Couldn't be better for seeing the sights. And at a excellent price . Loved it

Great hotel. It is very clean, rooms are well equipped with AC, are spacious and comfortable. The staff is lovely they give you a map and will recommend you where to go. The breakfast is good and you can order coffee (latte, machiatto, capuccino, tea) and they even have soy milk :’)
Besides all they have beautiful details such a small ball of wool they gift you with the room so you can feel comfortable or also short stories printed next to your bed, really so lovely! I don’t want to go haha.
By last wifi is also very good and the location is perfect.

Stayed here in August 2015 and it was a great affordable option in the heart of the city. The rooms are a little dated and the beds are merely ok, but the price is great for the location. Cold AC, great views from the top floors, and an elevator. There's a sizable paid parking lot nearby if you're driving.

I stayed eight nights at Hotel Centrale for the Cinema Ritrovato. It is perfectly situated, as all sites can be easily reached by foot. I had a cosy room at a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A first class experience

Spent a week in this hotel. Great service, very good breakfast 👌 and such a helpful staff. Easy to reach the city centre and the train station. Highly recommended

I enjoyed my stay there, loved the central loation and appreciated the kindness of the host. Rooms may be not the most modern, but I found them clean, and very cheap considering the location. Breakfast is the typical italian (only sweets), and not exceptional. All in all, I will go there again next time I'm in bologna

Spacious rooms and great location but the bathrooms could be refurbished. a lot of dust and maybe a bit mold. the best thing, however, was a cowfish in the aquarium. I would highly recommend staying there because of this. seriously.

Hotel really comfortable clean and placed in a really quiet place in the heart of the city. It is definitely a really good choice if you want to be close to all those touristic places and also if you want to discover really good restaurant in the nearby. Cause it is placed in small street it is also really quiete during the night. The management is always really kind and careful to every needs of the customers, they will let you feel like in a family. There are also several large apartments suitable for family......really charming and romantic the one at the last floor. You can reach there from the station just by 15 mins walking. A really good choice to have a enjoying stay in Bologna

I selected this hotel based on internet reviews. And I was pleased with my choice. This hotel is very centrally placed, several excellent restaurants within a two minute stroll. Some of the reviews called it "dated" but I saw it as quaint. Our room was a decent size, ensuite small but perfectly good. Breakfast was good, at reasonable times. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
