Nothing special about this bridge, looks like any other one. But I have find smaller differences. There many people lock their padlock in shape of heart ❤. Next time you will plan to visit this bridge in Verona , don’t forget to get one padlock heart shaped for you and you other half

Great view and relaxing location overlooking the river through Verona.

Grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants or have a refreshing drink.

The Ponte Pietra (Italian for "Stone Bridge") is a Roman arch bridge crossing the Adige River in Verona, Italy. The bridge was completed in 100 BC, and the Via Postumia from Genoa to Aquileia passed over it. It is the oldest bridge in Verona.

It originally flanked another Roman bridge, the Pons Postumius; both structures provided the city (on the right bank) with access to the Roman theatre on the east bank. The arch nearest to the right bank of the Adige was rebuilt in 1298 by Alberto I della Scala. Four arches of the bridge were blown up by retreating German troops in World War II, but rebuilt in 1957 with original materials.

Very very pretty! Come here a bit early in the morning to avoid the crowds. By 11am it was already full of tourists. Plan to spend at least one good hour to walk around and take photos.

This is one of the top three things in Verona for sure. You must walk till the bridge. You can enjoy the lovely sights from each side. You can take photos from anywhere. You can cross over and decide which side you want to walk. I mean it is simply a joy.

The oldest bridge in Verona, also the way to visit the Roman Theatre and the San Pietro castle.

The oldest bridge in Verona. Part of it is medieval and another part is Romans. It has a perfect view to the river, Castle San Pietro and San Giorgio Church. By its river banks, you can chill out with friends and family, have a nice walk, enjoy and breathe a cool air.

Oldest bridge in Verona, made of stones. The bridge (as all) has been destroyed by German soldiers during the II. world war, but has been renewed by using the original stone items (1957). Today, the bridge is only for pedestrians. The bridge is 120 meter long.

The most characteristic bridge in Verona! An ancient roman monument destroyed and rebuilt, it collegues the Roman Theatre with the old town. For turists a must see.

Really nice spectacle.
From calm waters on one side to a rocky pass on the other.
Glad to see people in a dingy challenging the waters

Really pretty spot in the city. If you climbing up you can see a view of the whole city. At the top is nice and quiet... bring a drink or a book amd sit to look out. A bar near the top and also water stations to fill your bottle. You can walk up stairs or drive up!
