Locanda in Tuscany

We spent two nights at the beautiful Locanda In Tuscany as part of a trip for my partners 30th birthday, and could not be more impressed. Not only is this place so unbelievably special, the wonderful staff pulled out all the stops to make our stay even more memorable. Even from the get go, communication was brilliant - Maria was very friendly and helpful via email leading up to our stay.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the lovely Marco, who was super informative and helpful. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the hotels suites, which was absolutely stunning - clean, comfortable and beautifully finished.

Both evenings, we dined in Locanda’s restaurant on site, Taverna di Mozart. Not only is the setting beautiful, but on both occasions we had a delicious meal, great wine, and fantastic service from Francesco and Andrea who really looked after us during our stay. What we loved is that all of the produce is strictly Tuscan, and everything is locally sourced.

We booked a private cooking class with Locanda’s chef, Tina, which I would highly recommend. This included making our own pasta from scratch, heading into the kitchen with Tina to learn how to make the delicious sauce, and even whipping up a Tiramisu (then enjoying it all for lunch!) Tina was so informative and there were so many lovely extra touches that made this such a fantastic experience. A special shout out to Marika for capturing it all for us, and generally being so helpful and kind.

If you’re looking for a relaxing Tuscan getaway, Locanda could not be more perfect. The atmosphere and landscape is truly breathtaking and so peaceful - you’re surrounded by nothing but the hills and the sounds of the birds. We mostly chilled by the pool during our stay, but the hotel has many recommendations for activities around the Val d’Orcia area. They did book a wine tasting and tour at a local vineyard for us, which was great and very reasonable.

Overall, I can’t rave about this place enough! It was a truly magical and memorable stay that we will cherish forever. Grazie Mille Locanda!

I absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone who visits Toscana and is willing to discover Montepulciano and Montalcino.

While I stay in Locanda in Tuscany, I just fell in love with this hotel absolutely!!! At first, view was breathtaking. No words needed. I’m sure that everyone who visits Locanda in Tuscany will love this view.👀

We were able to experience not only ‘Agriturisumo’ but also lovely& modern interior inside. Many agriturisumo BnBs are old-fashioned so we were worried about that point (because we were honeymoon trip!). Our worries were totally unnecessary. Room was antique, clean, and well managed!

Also, location is fantastic. It takes just 20-30min to visit Montepulciano and Montalcino both. It is really easy to visit any winery in any region!! Also if you are interested in hot spring, Bagno vignano or Bagni di San Filipo is just near hotel so you can enjoy natural hot bath.

Lastly, the most important point is that every staff was so lovely and helpful to us. It’s totally 5 star service! Actually we didn’t have any plan to discover this region but Claudia (“lovely manger of hotel”) helped us to plan every day and made reservation for winery. At first we didn’t even know there’s natural hot spring.. But she made a recommendation so we visited Bagno di san filipo and it was amazing experience at all. Also people who work in cucina were so sweet to us too.

So I absolutely recommend this place to everyone and we are willing to visit here again with our parents and lovers.

Words can not begin to describe how perfect our wedding stay was at Locanda. From the time we initially contacted them to inquire about the venue all the way up to the last minute of our check-out, Locanda went above and beyond to make sure we felt as accommodated as possible.

The venue is absolutely breathtaking; nothing any picture could ever begin to portray - you just have to see the beauty yourself in person! Each room is so carefully decorated to the very last detail, and the honeymoon suite is quite simply straight out of a movie set!

Special thanks to Claudia and Francesca for the exceptional service they provided to us and our guests. They helped us plan and coordinate the entire wedding, and simply nailed our exact vision that we had! They would not rest unless they knew everything was perfect for us, and that definitely did not go unnoticed.

I could go on forever about how amazing our 3 days at Locanda was! Thank you so much to every staff member on site that made our wedding day so memorable! Would recommend in a heartbeat to anybody looking to host a beautiful event under the Tuscan sun, or simply get away in the beauty of the land!

Beautiful farmhouse in Tuscany. They accommodated our dietary restrictions and made a full 4 course meal vegan.

Views are incredible. Amazing staff, and beautiful rooms. We will be back !

This is not a 4 star trip. It is a 5 star experience.

As soon as you drive up onto the property, you are met by staff who welcome you in. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are attentive and friendly. Everything is perfection.

My recommendation is take advantage of the staffs local knowledge. We had some incredible meals in the area thanks to them!

We’ve stayed at close to a dozen places in Tuscany over the last couple of weeks and this is one of the best. We hope to come back. Our room was beautiful, well appointed, incredibly comfortable and warmed by a roaring fire. The setting is lovely with views of rolling hills and fields. The inn’s restaurant is excellent. Staff were uniformly superb and kind. The attention to detail both in terms of the design, service and dining experience is exceptional. It’s a joy to be cared for by people with such a strong vision and the ability to execute it

This place is pure paradise - the location is ideal, the surrounding views are stunning, the rooms are cozy and rustic and the food is local and fresh. But besides all that, the thing that really makes this place special is the staff. They truly take pride in what they do and are passionate about running such a beautiful locanda. Whether it's bringing you little treats while you lay at the pool or remembering the way you take your coffee, they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in this region.

The hotel is lovely and well kept with magnificent views. The pool is magical. The customer service was the best; Alda in particular was fantastic and so lovely to deal with.

This is the gem to go to in Tuscany. The service was beyond excellent, everyone has passion for what they do and extremely kind and attentive. The views and
Property are insane and beautiful!!! Honestly no other place does it justice (having been to several other hotels) this is as good as it gets and as authentic as it gets. The pool, the people, the food and location 100/100

This is truly a special place run by people with a passion for what they do. I was photographing the Tuscan landscape and working my may back to Rome when I decided to book here for one night. I will definitely be back.

The service is world class and so are the rustic rooms are appointed with everything you need including sweeping views of the Tuscan country side.

They offer a charming restaurant that I understand is a converted barn, part of the restaurant serves as the check-in desk which is charmingly simple and practical. The food is local and organic. Overall the dishes I tried were very good (could have used a bit more salt for my taste) but good and reflective of local cuisine nonetheless.

Overall I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to spend time relaxing or exploring Tuscany. The nightly rate is reasonable for the caliber of this place also.

My partner and I had the most magical & romantic couple of days here recently. Incredible setting, really friendly & hospitable staff and delicious food at their restaurant. Amazing authentic Tuscany farm stay - totally worth it. Every view is like a postcard. Great amenities. Hot water, fireplace, heating, good beds and amazing food

Beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. Very dog friendly and super relaxed. The staff were amazing and did their best to keep everyone happy. I cannot say that there was anything to complain about at all.
