Yeti • Pila

We have been visiting the Yeti for years during ski seasons and it is the people that bring us back to this part of Italy. The food/wine at the Yeti has just got better and better. Katya is very knowledgable about wine and not too intrusive when we are dining but just knows when to chat and recommend dishes. We love this little piece of heaven in Pila. Today I had a perfectly cut and cooked piece of steak with delicious vegetables. My husband had his favourite of (cheesy) polenta with sausage If you are a crème caramel fan like I am… look no further! The Yeti does the best in the northern hemisphere… (only because my Mum is no longer here to serve it at our family dinners) … just perfect and a nod to my Mum! I never really have a dessert (especially after such an enormous piece of beef!) but can’t not at the Yeti! Thank you Katya and the Yeti staff for being so lovely. We look forward to coming back in March ❤

Great on mountain cafe bar. They do vegan croissants which are yummy and soya cappuccinos..... lovely view as well. Good hearty vegan soup.

Great place great food. Impeccable service. They manage to serve an incredible amount of people and be super kind and professional at all times. Aaaand.... good value for money, which is always nice.
TIP: do not miss the sausages and the zuppa alla valpellinentze. No other adjective than stellar. If you are hungry, that will be more than enough.

Really loved this place and went 3 times in 5 days (almost 4 times!). Really kind and attentive wait staff who greeted us each day, nice range of food options available, with some absolutely stunning homemade pasta which will knock you off your skis! We strongly recommend the Taglioni, which combines the best of Aglio Olio and Fettucine into a stunning dish that one of us had twice. Also brilliantly placed to start off or cap a day on the slopes, or to set you up for the (sort of hidden) Chamolé ski lift for those intermediate skiers.

Delicious food, nice wine, very friendly staff, good prices, wonderful view on Mont Blanc, Matterhorn etc. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Stopped for a beer after 5 hours' hot hiking. What a lovely place with amazing view of Monte Bianco. Service was very prompt and friendly.

Your panna cotta is the best i have ever tasted!

Perfectly positioned the top of the lift down. Beer is cold and chocolate is hot. Excellent English spoken but try to learn a little Italian, the staff will be patient with you (they even tolerate my
poor Italian)

This is a typical regional restaurant that actually manages to combine tradition with a touristic crowd. When you are here you HAVE TO order the dishes you haven't tried before and allow the staff to guide you. Trust us (my wife is Italian from the North), go here and leave with a smile!

Lunch after a walk in the mountains in summer. Great restaurant for coeliacs - very gluten free friendly! Delicious trad Aosta style food!

What a find. We had taken a hike and were looking for a place to eat and finally we chose Yeti. Not only was the food original, it was excellently prepared and presented.The service by the two women on the balcony was unsurpassed in being helpful and friendly. It is worth coming here even if you do not take a hike.

Exceptional food & service. We were lucky enough to eat here a number of times while on the mountain & was blown away with the changing, fresh and delicious food. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. The waitress translated the menu for us, the food was amazing, the service was stellar and the price was dare I say cheap for what you got. You need to visit here if you're up in Pila!

Great little restaurant with inexpensive water and coffees, fresh food and not frequented by ski school groups. A great place to eat, drink and watch the skiers pass by or drop in for a quick break.
