Very beautiful and cozy place with local food. A lot variety of the meat, and pay attention that the portions are very big ;) Highly recommended for visiting if you want to try different types of local meet. The waiters are very friendly

A very enjoyable rustic lunch consisting of many varieties os crostini. Large and small tables in large open air rooms. La Casa wine both red and white very drinkable - red a little better. Caters for small and large groups. Staff very friendly and attentive. The pasta making demonstration was very instructive and enjoyable.

The menu was superb.
The service for English speaking was outstanding.
The atmosphere is hard pressed to find a better setting true Italian flavour.
Highly recommend.

We have been in Italy(holidaying from Australia) for 7 weeks, the last 2 weeks with our adult children.
An unexpected detour , after leaving Peschici took us late in the day to this beautiful place full of friendly, happy people and amazing food! Amazing value for money and quantities must be enormous as we had 2 serves amongst 4 of us.
This would be the best lunch we have had on our trip (one daughter is a fussy vegetarian) so this statement means a lot!
All the staff and owners were so generous.

This is the kind of real-rustic old-school italian Osteria that one expects, as if right from out of one of those old films set in idyllic other-worldly hidden spots of rural Italy.

Well, this is it and, I loved it.

Personally, I typically approach these places with a pinch of scepticism expecting to find sadly 'fake' versions of what a typical and simple local trattoria or osteria would be tailored for the flow of tourists. But this is one of those wonderful places which has remained true to tradition and simplicity and the second one steps into the grounds - a garden thick with olive trees dotted around the restaurant, it feels like stepping into a magic postcard.

The restaurant had indoor and outdoor tables; wonderfully solid wooden farm-style tables in the garden nestled amongst the olive trees, tables nicely positioned along the open veranda under a beautiful roof with wooden beams giving the space that warm, comforting and peaceful colour to the ambient.

I went for dinner, so dusk was creeping up with the grounds and dinner tables beautifully lit up with delicate tiny lights, creating an irresistibly romantic atmosphere and allowing for a restful sense of privacy between each table.

I'm not one for masses of meat, but the meat they served was absolutely marvelous, cooked wonderfully to the perfect melt-in-ypur-mouth texture, of all sorts and cuts, and preceded by the most interesting and varied appetisers, ranging from vegetable and cheese-baked dishes, 'bruschette', typical Pugliese wonderfully crusty and fragrant bread, cheeses and cold-cuts of meat (all sorts of prosciutto, salame, and so on), and even a massive heap of home-made vegetable-chips including pumpkin and zucchini cooked to the standards of the fanciest of restaurants.

The atmosphere though was truly restful, simple and homely.

We were a group of about 40 with children ranging from the ages of 2 to 15, and the spacious restaurant opening up onto the garden was large and well-set up allowing for them to easily run around and play without the awkwardness of disturbing other guests thanks to the spaciousness.

The staff were wonderfully kind, attentive to any requests and left us to take our time to go through each course. They spoke a little English too.

A wonderful Osteria nestled in the olive trees hidden in the 'entro terra' of Puglia, close to Vieste and Peschici. Plenty of space for parking in the grounds and clean and accessible services on top of the wonderful selection of top quality food.

One of those I'd be keen on returning all the way back along the windy roads along the coastline of the Gargano, to return to that magic garden.

We are looking time aficionados of this place. It has changed a bit from the old times, but the quality and quantity of food remain excellent. Beautiful location in the middle of an uliveto. Don't miss it!

Wonderful surprise in the outback. This was one of the best coincidences in my life. Take a risk! Whatever menue you will take it will make you happy. First the welcoming staff and the taste then the prices. We definitely will return. Best meat in Puglia.

Our tour from Vieste to Monte St.Angelo and the forest Umbra culminated in a visit to the Ristorante Osteria Pane e Vino for a "light lunch". We were given a great welcome by our hosts who presented us with plate after plate of delicious food and jugs of wine. Our lunch stop turned out to be a really jolly occasion and one of the highlights of our holiday. Afterwards we were given a demonstration on the art of pasta making and we had an opportunity to try our hand.
Needless to say we departed with a bottle of limoncello and a strong sense of well-being.
