STAY HERE! This hotel is terrific in every significant way. L’Aquila is a small city, but it is rich in history and culture, and even better, is NOT over-run with tourists. At the hotel La Compagnia del Viaggiatore (“The Traveler’s Community” or “The Traveler’s Fellowship”) you will find everything you need, and everything here is done very well:
-Excellent food at very reasonable prices! We ate dinner here every one of the 7 nights we stayed, and everything we had was excellent. You will also notice that many locals show up for dinner every night.
-Built in 2000, modern décor, the place is well-maintained
-Very clean, comfortable rooms, which are relatively spacious by European standards. They can even accommodate small business meetings of 20+ people. Room prices are very reasonable.
-Hotel staff incredibly friendly, and dedicated to quality.
-Hotel staff goes out of their way to help and arrange whatever you need
-Location is in the northwest of L’Aquila, away from crowds, noise, construction in the downtown area (due to extensive 2009 earthquake damage that is still being repaired), and other hassles, but close enough to everything you want, and on bus lines that take you into or out of the city.
-Value for money spent, is huge, in my opinion.

The main reason that this place is so good is that it is family-owned and run, and the owner lives there with his wife and kids, and he is ALWAYS present, making sure everything goes smoothly. Many of his employees have worked there for several years.

I came here to research my grandparents’ origins (they were from Abruzzo) and I plan to return with my kids. You can be sure I will stay here again. If you want a super luxurious, lavish place with huge rooms, chandeliers and fancy dining with fancy prices, you may not like it here, but for virtually anyone else, I strongly recommend La Compagnia del Viaggiatore.

STATE QUI!! Quest’ albergo é grandissimo. L’Aquila non é cittá molto grande, peró é ricca della storia e della cultura. Di piú, non ci sono tutti turisti! AL’Compagnia del Viaggiatore si trova tutto che vorreste, e tutto qui é fatto bene:

-Cibo ottimo a prezzi onesti. Abbiamo cenato qui ogni delle 7 giornata che siamo stato, e tutto era delicioso. Anche, ci sono multi personne del posto che cenano nell ristorante ogni sera.
-Costruito circa del 2000, arredamenti moderni, e l’albergo é ben conservato.
-Le camere sono pulite e commode con bastanze spazio.
-I personali sono molto amichavoli, e si dedicano all’ qualitá.

-I personali sempre trovano aiutar i cliente e sono felici di programmare qualunque cosa.
-L’albergo si trova nell’ quartiere deL’Aquila nord-ovest, quindi non ci sono rumore, folle, oppure altre scocciature, peró é proprio vicino a tutto che vorreste e ci sono bus della cittá.
-Secondo me, il valore per I soldi speso é enorme.

La raggione principale che quest’ albergo é cosí buono é che c’ é sempre il padrone. Dalla colazione alle 23;00 cuando il ristaurante sta chieso, lui c’é per assicurarsi di tutto va bene. Abbita nell’ albergo con sua moglie e sui bambini. Molti dei personali hanno lavorato nel albergo per perecchi anni.

Sono Americano e sono venuto a L’Aquila per documentarmi miei nonni, chi erano Abruzzesi. Cuando ritorno com miei figlii, state seguri che ho intenzione di stare a La Compagnia del Viaggiatore.

Great hotel accommodation. Friendly staff and excellent restaurant.

Stayed here twice at the reccomendation of my Italian collegue Dino - An excellent base for working in the area and getting a few hours off to explore the region or relax by the pool. My room even apperently came with an optional "resident cat" to make visitors feel relaxed and right at home, after inspecting my car on arrival.

Fine settimana con le figlie: struttura moderna,spaziosa ,pulita. Personale gentilissimo ed assai disponibile. Abbiamo avuto un problema con l insonorizzazione della camera e prontamente ci hanno offerto un cambio. Ristorante molto buono sia per il pranzo(tagliatelle,antipasto,tagliate di carne) ,sia per il garbo del proprietario,persona cordiale , sorridente,dialogativa. Ci ha offerto un primitivo dinamico,lasciandoci l intera bottiglia al tavolo. Piscina pulita, così come le stanze,acqua , frigobar,teiera e macchinetta per il caffè presenti in camera. Assolutamente da ripetere. Diventerà il nostro posto d abitudine per l ottimo rapporto qualità,prezzo, accoglienza e collocazione vicinissima alla GDF.Dieci e lode.

Ottimo Hotel con ristorante da favola!
Gruppo di motociclisti... 14 persone per 7 camere matrimoniali e menu concordato. Ottima accoglienza alla reception con massima disponibilità per lasciarci tutto il tempo che ci occorreva per sistemarci prima di espletare tutta la burocrazie. Cena al ristorante da 5 stelle sia come servizio che come piatti. Nottata estremamente tranquilla e ottima colazione dolce/salata da ricordasi per parecchio tempo... Ci tornerò certamente!!!

Hotel 3 stelle però vale almeno 4.Camere con terrazzo e ingresso indipendente,spaziose e pulite. L'hotel ha un grandissimo parcheggio e due piscine a disposizione dei clienti di cui una hidomasaggio.La colazione è ottima, molto abbondante.

Siamo un gruppo di motociclisti, abbiamo avuto la fortuna di soggiornare in questo hotel, complimenti a tutto lo staff in particolare alla cucina. Siamo stati letteralmente viziati, addirittura il sig. Roberto ci ha preparato delle cene gourmet. Ci torneremo.
