OMG! This place is awesome. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly, and fun. I felt like I had a personal invitation to join their family at this unique location which has spectacular views. The food was yummy, too!

This place is amazing. Lucia is the best host!! She takes care of every little detail. Highly recommend. The views are beautiful, the food is amazing and the wine is plentiful! The day trips were fun and informative about the country. You will have a great time.

This was an absolute amazing experience. I definitely recommend it to everyone. The apartment was so clean and adorable! The grounds were beautiful. Everything about it was pure magic.

A magical location overlooking Lake Trasimeno. Stunning property, incredibly attentive ownership and staff, amazing food, and the experience of a lifetime. Lucia offered the opportunity to participate in one of the most all inclusive yoga retreat experiences that I have ever had.

I recently attended a Yoga retreat at Montemelino, the sister property, also run by Lucia and John and it was FANTASTIC. We were treated like family. I have not been so relaxed in years. The food was amazing, straight from the local farms, cooked beautifully by the staff that we got to know dearly. We were taken on tours of local towns, including a lovely picnic one day. The views from the grounds we stayed were gorgeous. Sabina gave us a lovely tour of the vineyards and wine tasting on our last night, including a beautiful dinner. The apartments are so lovely. I highly recommend staying here to get a feel for true Italian living.

I came here last week for my cousin's wedding. It was a perfect choice for the venue! The staff were friendly, the accommodation was comfortable, the facilities, such as the swimming pool, were enjoyable, and this place had a great view, especially of Lake Trasimeno. I'd definitely recommend this venue!!

The property was so beautiful, overlooking a lake. All of our needs were met with care. We felt like we were guests in their. home.

My particular room overlooked the lake. I woke up to an amazing sunrise every morning. I loved it!

This being my first time in Italy and especially to it's countryside, I found my 7 days at Dogana AMAZING. It's a charming resort that makes you feel like you could live there. The food was delicious and the pool location couldn't be better as it overlooks Lake Trasimeno.

But it's the family friendly service that tips the hat. Lucia and her staff made us feel like we were home. I'd return again and again.

I recently returned from a fabulous, relaxing yoga retreat at La Dogana! The countryside there is uncommonly beautiful. Lucia, the owner, is a very, very lovely person and can't do enough for you. Really, everything about the place is very lovely - the apartments, the grounds, the yoga room. Everything! The food was consistently YUMMY! I really enjoyed swimming in the 25 meter pool (82 feet) and lazing around on the lounge chairs. The excursions and activities were great fun, including several wine tastings and a pizza making class. A yoga retreat at La Dogana is a wonderful, relaxing vacation and I cannot recommend it enough.

You'll think you're traveling to Dogana to see Italy, but what you realize is that after visiting you'll leave Dogana having made an Italian family. Every person hosting makes you feel at home. The location is perfect for exploring Tuscany on day trips. The rooms are 5-stars because they are exactly as advertised - clean and simple - not because of luxury. But the magical feeling of living at Dogana while you're there is priceless.

Our group enjoyed a unique week at Montemolino. It took us away from the ordinary tourist attractions and closer to the real life in Italy . The food we were served twice daily was outstanding. Our excursions were enjoyed by all. And the wine flowed freely !

This retreat and Lucia exceeded what I even thought was possible. I dreamed of a beautiful Tuscan experience and Lucia made every wish come true and more. It’s impossible to put into words how stunning this experience was for me and our group. The kindness of every person we interacted with, the fresh food + wine, the venue itself! There’s nothing to consider when deciding to book here because Lucia already did - and trust me, it’s perfect. Best of everything, Dogana team, I hope to visit again!

What you will find at Dogana-simple elegance. Well designed functional space with a hint of Italian personality, without an overwhelming theme. Clean crisp sheets on a good feeling bed, and a well supplied kitchenette. Outdoor patio to soak in the sun or watch the sun come and go. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of great walking paths and towns near by to explore. Great shopping, vineyards, architecture and an experience of living an authentic Italian lifestyle.
Not to mention the warm welcome you will receive from from Lucia and staff-gracious and truly accommodating. Lovely, lovely spot in our world. Diane Hart

I led a yoga retreat for 19 at La Dogana in mid September. The place is absolutely STUNNING! Breathtaking views, Olde World vibe, simple and delicious meals, extremely caring staff. The accommodations are a bit more rudimentary than I am accustomed to providing for my guests (and for the cost per person of the retreat package)- they are updating consistently it seems. Lucia and her staff are authentic, charming and a joy to be around. Everyone fell in love with them.

I recently went to La Dogana to teach yoga at a week-long yoga retreat. The retreat had been postponed twice due to Covid, but Lucia and John stayed in close touch with me the entire time and were incredibly accommodating and supportive as we re-scheduled and then re-scheduled a second time! Over the two year correspondence I got the feeling that I was really going to enjoy working with them.

The minute we stepped out of the bus that picked us up at the Florence Airport I knew that it was going to be wonderful. Lucia and John met us and welcomed us with such warmth and joy. The location is AMAZING and you are constantly accompanied by views of Lake Trasimeno, first blue, then green, now gray...shifting with the light and simply gorgeous. The accommodations are beautiful and very comfortable and many have views of the lake.

The yoga space is light and airy and also has a lovely view of the lake.

The food is incredible, breakfast with delicious espresso, homemade pastries/cakes, cheeses, meats as well as yogurt, juices, local jam and more. Dinners are delicious, inventive and perfectly balanced, with a strong focus on fresh, local vegetables, with accompanying house-made olive oil and wonderful wine. Don't even get me started on the desserts!

The number of activities to choose from is amazing, including trips to beautiful nearby hill towns, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, wine tasting and picnicking and, closer to home, massages, private yoga sessions and swimming in the beautiful hillside pool overlooking the lake.

As a yoga teacher I am VERY excited to be planning next year's retreat already. If I were a yoga practitioner I would be VERY excited about joining a yoga retreat at La Dogana. It is a uniquely lovely place and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

We had a wonderful time at La Dogana during a week long yoga retreat in May. The yoga was excellent. Location is beautiful, the accommodations comfortable and the views of the lake and hills outstanding. Forays to local medieval towns were fun adventures. Lucia is a fabulous host, welcoming and attentive to every detail.

We stayed at La Dogana for a friend’s wedding. The scenery is absolutely stunning, making it the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to! Lucia couldn’t have been more kind and helpful to make my friend’s wedding perfect for her and her guests. We all stayed in the accommodation which was comfortable and authentic. Would not hesitate to recommend :-) xxx

HIGHL RECOMMENDED: We recently visited and stayed at the Montemelino property. It was originally a yoga reatreat that was cancelled, but John and Lucia worked so hard to help us plan the perfect trip for my friend and I. They set up w LOVELY schedule of events just for us and checked in on use every step of the way. The tours/activities they picked were definitely what we needed and we LOVED every step of the journey. The apartments are very traditional and lovely, the views are AMAZING, they have a clean and beautiful pool and lots of things to do :) We will be back and hope to bring more people

We attended a wedding at Agriturismo Dogana & it was lovely. An amazing few days and the owner, Lucia, was on hand to help with every request and check all was going well. A bit of a climb but the pool was lovely with the most incredible views. A beautiful setting.

If you want a slice of heaven, La Dogana is the place for you. I went for a yoga week and loved the location where we dined al fresco overlooking Lake Trasimeno. The hosts, Lucia and John made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. Of course the food and wine were terrific and plentiful. I am already thinking about next year. Sue
