Mad in Italy

As an American in Italy for the first time Mad in Italy was exactly the type of place I hoped to find.

The staff was very nice, pizza was incredible and a nice deviation from standard street food. And the cocktails- incredible. They have new drinks added and genuinely cared about our feedback. Try the Dance of the Corbetto, stir it up an enjoy. One of the more memorable drinks I’ve ever had, wish I had taken a picture of it.

Highly recommend.

First time travelling to Catania. This place was so good my friends and I had to come twice in the same day. The staff were very attentive especially Cheryl and Francesco. Francesco in particular made his personal favourite cocktail for me at the bar. The entire experience was amazing. I would absolutely recommend if you’re in the area and want a good place to eat and drink. Much love from the UK.

The food was good! The pizza was quite crispy, but that didn't bother me at all. The cocktails were great and the staff gave great recommendations! We also got a Limoncello shot on the house. Would visit again.

Fantastic spot - I had the pistachio pasta and my partner had the Margherita- both were sublime. ❤
Francesco the barman also come highly recommended - he asked me what flavours I liked and whipped up an amazing cocktail. Clearly a lot of pride in his work and this business. 100% recommend.

The food was flawless, they are clearly not saving themselves when it comes to ingredients and the portions were large for the price, quality, and location of the restaurant.
The staff were in a great mood and spoke English very very well.
Beautiful both indoors and outdoors, also very elegant.
Definitely recommended, would come back again.

Our stay in Sicily we sought the best, authentic cuisine and we found it. Went back twice and thoroughly can say it was one of the best pizzas we’ve had.

Delicious pizza and pastas! The service was friendly and attentive. The portions are good, so if you don’t eat too much, order to share.

I had the most delicious lunch here today. A chicken salad with a wonderful dressing. A side of chips perfectly cooked a crisp and seasoned. A beer from Sicily to accompany it as recommended by my server. An excellent choice! Highly recommended!

Excellent quality pizze and pasta just off the busy street of Via Etnea. We had the porchetta to start (perfectly seasoned and sliced), and the Nonna Lidia pizza and pistachio pasta for our main dish. The food was cooked and served with care and every bite was delicious. The cocktails and Sicilian craft beer were also excellent and we wish we could have stayed for more. A really lovely way to finish our last night in Catania. Big thank you to our wonderful host, Cheryl (I hope I spelled correctly), for providing a warm and memorable environment. Grazie!

I recently visited this pizzeria and was thoroughly impressed by the delicious pizza and the exceptional service. The waitress was professional, attending to our needs with a friendly demeanor that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The pizza itself was absolutely delectable, with the perfect blend of flavors that left us wanting more. I highly recommend this pizzeria to anyone looking for top-notch food and service. A truly delightful experience all around!

had one of the best lunches i’ve had in italy here! HUGE salad, very fresh and one of the best i’ve found on my trip. and the pizza was amazing, forgot to even get a picture before i started devouring it. the service was also top notch and super kind. if i am ever back in the area i will definitely be back, i recommend to anyone in the area for a wonderful lunch in a great calm environment :)

This is by far the best place we ate in Catania, would throughly recommend! A shame we didn’t find this place on our first night, instead of our last! If we had found the restaurant on day 1 we would’ve come here every night!

First time to Catania and this was the first place I saw on the Internet. Definitely worth it! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great, very friendly service! I went 3 times to that place for lunch and dinner! Not crowded which is the most important for me! Love it! 🍕🍺🇮🇹 🤌🏽

We came here for dinner on our last night in Catania and had an amazing time, it was the perfect end to our holiday. The food was delicious and Andrea was really lovely and made it a great experience, super welcoming and even taught us some Italian! Would definitely recommend, also had good gluten free options for me.

Always looking for the best pizzas everywhere. Tried it here and this one is defenetaly a good experience. The owner gives me a table and welcomes me very calm and friendly, fast staf to serve food and drinks and the chef that made the pizza is very talented. 5 stars pizza and experience. Wish a made the photo earlier haha

Without exaggerating...the BEST pizza in my life! You can not make a bad choice here, but I tried Burrata and Bruschetta pizza, both made it to Top1! And pistacchio pasta that was also heaven on Earth! I highly recommend to try their cocktails too...as you are in paradise of flavours dont "waste" your time ordering classic cocktails but do indulge yourself into their signature cocktails...and you can thank me later:)
