Great clean, updated, quiet, resort like hotel very close to all the action in Salerno. So many hotels complained of noise from weddings or clubs so we decided to try Hotel Olimpico. What a treasure. Great, friendly staff, private beach and a pool, pool bar and staff that makes you feel like you're spending $1,000 a night. When you want to go into town, just jump on their shuttle, or a quick drive and you're there. A must stay!

What a wonderful experience staying here. Just 10-15 mins from main centre but regular shuttles in and out. Lovely staff in restaurant and pool bar and awesome receptionists. Gino our driver was so much fun! Thanks for the laughs 😃

Lovely Hotel and staff. Had two electric car chargers which cost 25euro a go regardless of how much you have to charge. Turned out to be very useful.

We are enjoying the relaxing yet fun atmosphere at Hotel OlĂmpico. This place is truly a gem. Don’t be fooled by the distance from the port or train, as they offer complementary shuttle to downtown. There is also parking on the premises. Our room was clean and modern with a great balcony. The tv offers channels in multiple languages. There was a mini fridge in suite with drinks for purchase.
The Hotel has a large pool with a poolside bar where you can catch the latest game. The food at the restaurant was beautifully prepared and I highly recommend the steak with mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes.
Just across the street you can enjoy a private beach for hotel guests with chairs and umbrellas.
We will come back.

My wife and I will be staying their soon in Mid May for 3 days for our 20 year anniversary. I did extensive research and decided on Hotel Olimpico. Location looks perfect (just out of the hustle and bustle) but not to far by car (we are renting a car). I will update this post in early June upon return home.

We feel so lucky after much searching we found this hidden gem 💎 hotel. It is not in the typical tourist area, but it is incredible.

The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable, the service was amazing with friendly staff that helped us when our luggage was delayed and when we needed service for a flat tire.

The food in their restaurant was superb, either the chef is red seal or very experienced.

This trip was for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and this hotel was perfect. From here we traveled west down the Amalfi Coast, south to Paestum and other coastal towns, east to Potenza and Matera, and both to Pompeii and Naples.

Resort hotel Olimpico was excellent! We had the 'Capri' private apartment for 4 nights and yes, that was very expensive but it was truly fantastic to have a quiet area exclusively for these 3 apartments and this included a private pool. You still had access to all the hotel facilities of the main pool, bar, restaurant, tennis court and private section of the beach (only 50m away!).

We did not eat in the restaurant or use the bar so i cannot comment on costs here. Staff were very polite and friendly and spoke good english to help with comms.

The only downside for some is that there is no supermarket or any real shops nearby so you will need a car to get your supplies for the apartment (or rely on taxis!). There are plenty of pizzeria style restaurants nearby and of course the hotel restaurant too if thats your decisikn to eat out each day but if you wanted to self cater in the apartment, you need a car! The hotel location is a bit out of the way from normal towns but if you are happy to stay contained in the complex or drive out for day trips, then that is fine. There is also the complimentary hotel shuttle to pick you up and drop off at the train station and into Salerno (we didnt use this but it is on offer from the hotel).

I cannot comment on hotel rooms but from reading previous reviews, these were equally of high quality.

Would recommend this place. 👌

This is the perfect hotel for families with kids below 12, to get just enough of the Amalfi Coast experience while having a place to relax and decompress. We booked in early April for a stay in June and got an amazing low price. The room was spacious and clean and even had a balcony with a table and chairs and drying rack. Only complaint is all electric turns off when you take your key card out and leave the room, so no charging devices when you're not in the room. Also the A/C switches off when you so much as touch the balcony door, even if just going out for a second to hang something to dry; you have to remember to turn it back on every time. All the staff (front desk, restaurants, cleaning crews) were friendly, warm, loved kids, and spoke at least enough English for basic communication. The included breakfast buffet was delicious and something we looked forwards to every day! The restaurant food was good and reasonably priced, and can be ordered via sit down in the restaurant itself, or the bar at the pool, or the bar at the beach, or to-go (they won't do room service but can package in boxes for you to pick up and enjoy in your room). There are confusing rules about what parts of the menu you can and can't order from at different parts of the day, but you eventually figure it out! The hotel pool is a delight, clean, fresh (not salt water), not at all heavily chlorinated, a little waterfall for a back massage, and warm showers. The hotel owns a slice of beach across the street with complimentary deck chairs, umbrellas, shower, bathrooms. The beach is soft sand. Other than some sea weed, the sea is clean and lovely. The hotel also has tennis courts, a small playground near the pool, a trampoline, and ping pong table. In terms of location, the hotel is not part of the Amalfi Coast (which has cliffs rising steeply straight out of the sea), a treacherous road and no parking. Rather the hotel is 20 minutes drive south of Salerno (which is the gateway to the Amalfi coast), on a flat coastal plane with comfortable safe roads, sandy beaches and ample parking. The hotel features a complimentary shuttle to Salerno and back several times a day, and from Salerno you can catch a bus or a boat to the various charming and insanely picturesque villages and small towns on the Amalfi coast (with kids between 5 and 12 i strongly recommend the town of Amalfi, and the paper museum to cool off), or the beautiful grottos in the island of Capri. In summary, amazing hotel to experience the Amalfi coast in small doses while having a wonderful place to chill out, relax, spend quality time as a family, and not break the bank. Highly recommended!

Outstanding facility with very comfortable rooms and modern amenities. The breakfast is very impressive with a wide variety of options for adults and children. The location is a bit of a drive from Salerno, but they make a shuttle available free of charge. They also have their own access point to the beach which is very convenient. Highly recommend!

On holidays close by hotel. Could not find a restaurant on Sunday June 5th but we’re able to get a reservation at your hotel’s
Restaurant. Food was excellent and good value. Maitre d’ was really kind and staff were excellent. In particular one young man with glasses and an older gentleman with a light beard or stubble. Reception staff also lovely. We are going there again tonight June 6th. Thanks to everyone. Although holiday home is lovely we’ve discovered it’s poorly served for food close by other than your hotel. John Nolan. Mob 354 86 2629920.

This is now my fourth time at this hotel. It's a very lovely looking four star hotel, with all mod cons. Lovely swimming pool. Breakfast included in the cost of your room with fantastic a la carte menu. Cost of the room is very reasonable and competitive considering it's four star. Highly recommended. All the staff are very friendly and hard working, always catering to your needs. They speak good English. Parking facility is off road which is located behind the hotel. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Hotel Olimpico during the summer in June. We are a family of 6 from Ireland. The hotel is outstanding in terms of it's service and food. There was a large pool and a mini playground with a private beach reserved for the guests opposite the hotel. The seating at the beach was very comfortable and free of charge. There was a bar there also for our use. The meals were large and very delicious. The waiters made the meals even better! They were always polite and happy. The rooms were in good condition too. We had lovely sea views which were fantastic when the sun was setting. We could hear the sea from our rooms. Overall our experience with Hotel Omlipico was amazing! Thank you to our waiters Loris, Antonio and Christine who made it even better! A car is useful for sightseeing. But there is a shuttle bus outside the hotel.

My wife & I, along with my brother & his wife spent 5 enjoyable days at Olimpico. We were greeted warmly and given the keys to our comfortable, well-appointed rooms with balcony and view of the pool. Even though the hotel is a shuttle bus ride from the center of Salerno, we felt that the value we received, in terms of the delicious free breakfast, the comfortable rooms, and beautiful grounds were well worth the choice. The service was attentive, and the shuttle bus ran on time every trip. The staff are lovely, the food is quite superb. All home cooking, you dont want to consider eating in the town when there is such a lovely restaurant in nice atmosphere by the pool. Thanks and see you soon!!
