We have loved this restaurant ever since we discovered Montepulciano three years ago. Every year we go back, we return multiple times during our week long stay. Francesco and Tassos are both Master Sommeliers and will guide you to the perfect wine pairing with the dish you choose. You really can't go wrong. The family truly makes you feel welcome! Don't forget to ask about the wine club. We have been members for three years now and eagerly look forward to our twice annual shipments!

A life-changing restaurant and B-n-B spear-headed by one of the most intelligent, driven, and passionate people I've ever had the privilege of knowing, Francesco Maramai. He and his family pull no punches in infusing who they are in what they do, and it's nothing but welcoming, delicious, infectious, and addicting. From the ever-changing menu, to the charm of the suites, to the stunning vistas from the patio tables, this a no-doubt, can't-miss experience to anyone visiting this incomparable town.

We went there for a diner a had Fiorentina steak and traditional pasta. We really enjoyed our diner. The ambiance was lovely and the service was also good. The steak was really delicious. For the steak, they don’t serve only one slice, it is cooked in large portions ( it is quite common in Tuscany) but worth to try. After the diner we had our dessert. Tiramisu and other Italian desert. To sum up, I enjoyed the time that I passed over there.

Very friendly and professional staff, delicious food, great setting. I had pasta with fresh truffles and my partner pasta carbonara. We also tried lemon tart and tiramisu. All was accompanied by top-knotch Chianti red wine. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing meal here, between the fig and ham risotto, the white ragu and pork tenderloin. The desserts were excellent as well - highly recommend! Make a reservation for near sunset, their terrace had an excellent view to augment the meal

We had a very good lunch with a great choice of wine. Every day at 4pm there is a wine master class. Nice view from the terrace. The meals are served very quick.

This restaurant made me feel like we had wasted so much money eating out in our lives that could have been spent here instead. The wine, the antipasti, house made pasta, steak, and vinsanto/cantuccine were the best restaurant experience I have had in easily 5 years. Every ingredient was well balanced against the other, the service was incredible and the food came out at the perfect cadence. For the restaurant, we ate on the street, which was deliciously peaceful, the patio with view would have only added that much more.

Best meal we had in Montepulciano. After I left, I was still thinking about the food and wished I had more time to come back a second time. We ordered several dishes so that we could all try and sample different things. My favorites were the pici with carbonara and the braised beef cheek. They were outstanding. Everything else was lovely as well. The staff was great and were super knowledgeable about the wines and they were also extremely friendly and would come over and speak to us during the meal. Even the owner of the restaurant came over to speak with us and check how we were doing. It was a really lovely dinner experience and the best meal I had in Montepulciano. I can’t wait to go back again.

Seriously one of THE best meals I’ve ever had. We had a group of 10 - our amazing server offered to guide a family style experience and it truly made the entire evening. Please ask for Claudia! She is key to making it the best outing. And let her make your selections. We absolutely loved every bite. This is a must do!!

Wonderful restaurant! Sit on the terrace if you can, especially for sunset. This is a very special place. Staff / owners are very friendly and helpful. They speak very good English. We ate here twice for dinner and once for lunch, pasta dishes and steaks were wonderful. If the Ribalitta is on the menu, get it!, it was wonderful! Wines were amazing- told them what we liked and what we were looking to spend and they picked them out for us. Food and wine was very reasonably priced. Best food and wine we had during our stay in Montepulciano!

Simply outstanding. Food, location and particularly the service were all exceptional. Ask for a recommendation for the wines. We were so impressed.

Great location with a patio protected from the sun overlooking the countryside. Food was fantastic. We had the mixed cold cuts, cheese and crostini appetizer, panzatela Florentina and local pasta. The tiramisu was absolutely perfect and lemon cake with salted caramel was just delicious. All with a great service and for normal price. A piece of serenity on a very hot day.

(*This review is in regards to the restaurant only) My husband and I are frequent visitors to Montepulciano, and while most every eatery is memorable, there is a short list of those that are stellar. Osteria del Borgo is on that list! Run by a lovely local family, we always feel like we're returning "home" when we dine here -- usually our first stop after we arrive and settle in. The food is supreme and made with high quality ingredients lovingly prepared using family recipes, all served by an attentive and very kind staff in an inviting and cozy atmosphere within the walls of an ancient building. Win-win! Francesco's vast knowledge and expertise with wine (and his own wine club) will guarantee the best recommendations and pairings if you need assistance. Weather permitting, snagging a reservation on the terrazzo is a must-do. Dining while watching the sunset over the Tuscan landscape is the stuff made of dreams! Reservations in general are recommended, especially during the busier seasons.

This is the best thing we've eaten in Italy in the past week. The pork fillet in licorice and sour cherry sauce was incredible, and the wine was absolutely fantastic and so well priced!

This place is fantastic! The service is excellent, the staff is kind, and the food tastes amazing. I highly recommend trying the pecorino cheese table—it's absolutely delicious. Don't miss out on this gem!

The restaurant definitely deserves its higher rating! Visited with my family while in Savoca and the homemade pasta was amazing. Our one year old daughter loved the food too - especially the bread:). Carmelo is so welcoming , friendly and the service is exceptional. Highly recommend it

Ottimo! Everything was amazing. I’m not going to lie, I teared up while eating the pici. Thank you chef! If I could choose my last meal, I would want you to cook it. Great job to the brothers who own this magnificent restaurant.

The best dinner we've had in Tuscany! The service was amazing, food was excellent! Loved the cauliflower and potato starter with truffle. The risotto was so creamy, and the pasta was perfect. Had a lovely evening here and would definitely return!
