We spent our last day of our trip to the Eolian Islands having Sunday brunch generously washed with prosecco at the Fish market of Catania, priceless!
Definitely you should try the fish skewers, 4 different types of fish served with roasted cherry tomatoes and sea asparagus. The grilled octopus was tender and well seasoned, the parmigiana, the fried sardines, were delicious as well. The desserts we savored were fresh and extremely tasty, their tiramisu and cheesecake are one af the best I ever tried, one doesn't expect such good sweets at the atmosphere of the market.The Pineapple and orange cheesecake worth to be mentioned as the freshness of the tropical fruits was very well combined with the sweetness of the cream and the crunchy biscuits of the base. Great experience, thank you for the patience and the excellent service.

Very delicious street foods with reasonable price. Very special Arancini , which is different from others . Arancini with sardines paste and Arancini with black squid ink .

This is a MUST in Catania! The food in this place is amazing, unpretentious and all about the the flavors. Had one of the best tuna tataki’s I’ve had in my life. Additionally, the personnel is super friendly and the place is super vibey. We visited the place two days in a row and tried a bunch of dishes tapas style. Try as many things as you can because you won’t regret it!

Delicious street seafood!
We had the fish and chips with homemade sauce and the veggie salad. Plus beer (they have Birra dello Stretto, as opposed to many restaurants), and wine (they only have red or white, no rose. But it's good quality!).
Fast and kind service, nice atmosphere at the heart of the fish market area, however in a more quiet part, where you can still enjoy the authentic vibes.
Remember, this is a street food place with table service, not a fancy restaurant, so don't be disappointed by the plastic cups and plates. 😉

There are two Mm! One is a trattoria and another one, just next door is a street food place. We booked the trattoria and ended up in the street food by accident. It was the best mistake ever.
It's a family-run restaurant and we were treated with great care and kindness. It was fun! We are coming back.

Amazing quality food! The owner/chef came and sat down next to us and gave us suggestions on what order, recommended a few different appetizers, which were amazing! He even told us how to eat it. Like what order to eat the food in to have the best flavor pairing. Very very friendly staff overall. Super quick, super good, 10/10 would recommend.

Careful preparation of local ingredients into powerful modern dishes you won’t forget easily. this is the kind of place that would rock any metropole in the world.

Lovely meal right by the famous fish market! Delicious local seafood plates, and great wine selection. Bonus - my waiter gifted me a plate of my favorite - fried anchovies - when I mentioned I liked them!

My personal favorite!!! An amazing place in the beating heart of Catania, Sicily! One of the best places for fresh and quality food. Incredibly tasty, cosy, with a friendly atmosphere. Good music. Great hosts! For fish and seafood lovers, the raw fish is a must try. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance.

Delicious food and competent staff.
I ordered a tartare and it came out extremely salty. I pointed it out to the personnel and they immediately changed my plate, offered my wine and brought me a free dish to taste (see photo).
Everything else was delicious. I don't get the reviews about the "rude" staff: maybe a cultural misunderstanding??

Hands down, this is my favorite restaurant in Catania. I found it in Rick Steve's tour guide. I really found that this restaurant was exceptional. If you are in Catania, i recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food and great people! Beautiful local place made as a street food but it's more than that, they have tables and you can taste lovely wine together with the food. The owners put so much love in what they are doing that you can taste it in your plate, it's sooo fresh and delicious that you will surely go back again and again. At least that's what I did 🤩
Delicious pasta with seafood, the tuna was amazing, fried mozzarella so good and you should definitely try the caponata! All fish was sooo fresh!

Size of portions are great for sharing and tasting different types of local fresh seafood. Lovely atmosphere for dinner and staff was great at recommending food

This is a pearl of Catania. It is located on the local food market. The chief Carmello Marino is always there. Food is amazing. For us, spoiled people traveling the world, it is one of the best places so far.
Check their lentil seafood soup, tuna sausage and seafood crudo. It deserves Michelin star.

Walking through the Catania fish market we wanted to buy everything, but we had no kitchen at our hotel, so we found Mm and had grilled octopus which was tender and smokey.

The raw sea food platter was absolutely delicious, well garnished and the server explained to me any sea food. Highly recommended!

The staff is super welcoming, kind and dedicated. I went for 'caponata di polipo' which was more than a course. It was a masterpiece. The single ingredients were armoniously mixed, this meal was of the best I have ever had in my life! Congratulations!!!
