Villa Comunale

Beautiful park to sit and chill while watching the sea, to take a walk, or even to do sports. It has a pond with turtles and fish. I spent a couple of hours just daydreaming and enjoying the breeze while having a drink and a walk. There is a tiny bar in one of the corners and also public toilets quite well kept. It seemed to be a restaurant there too but I visited in winter and it was completely closed.

What a beautiful place! Perfect family retreat from city to relax in the shade of trees... There is a fountain full of turtles and play ground for kids to go around when parents can try to catch a break on the bench 😉

Beautiful views of the harbour from here. The park is a little worn around the edges but this adds to the charm of the place.

Absolutely charming little park with lovely views out over the sea, and well shaded by trees on hot days. It's a great place for stroll listening to the sound of the sea. There's also a good kids play area too

West gates could bring you to panoramic view on harbor and castle.

A hint of green in an otherwise sea-oriented town and mentality. Have a seat on the many benches while enjoying a good read surrounded by trees and bird songs. Thirsty? There's three public fountains to drink from. Hungry? There's a bar on the far end of the park, opposite to the cathedral. Looking for a toilet? There's one right on the left of the entrance. A small aquarium and a bird cage will entertain your kids while you plot your next route on the map. There's a bridge that leads to the fortino, from where you'll be amazed by the most breathtaking view of the old town, including the famous cathedral. I highly suggest you to go there during the sunset, you won't regret it.

It's such a cute place. It's an ancient big Villa Comunale (garden) which hosts many plants, nice walks, a little acquarium, a bird big cage and il Fortino..from its top ypu can have a very nice view of the Trani harbour with a view of the cathedral. Particularly recommend for the sunset time

The Villa Comunale, built in the nineteenth century, is centered on the axis defined by the cathedral and the monastery in Colonna, and overlooks the harbor from the top of the sea fortress. It contains a pine grove, a promenade by the sea, a hypogean aquarium, a concert area, a bar, an art exhibition house, a fountain with carps and turtles, and a kids playground with a spiral castle.

Fabulous place to relax in all this heat. Lots of shade, nice views, parrots, turtles.
