IL Merlo Nero Ristorante

We had our yummy food just 2 meters away from the lake. I absolutely loved the view. The quality of food was so good. The prices were not high at all and the personnel were truly friendly and professional. 100% recommended.

Amazing food. Good quality to price ratio. Fantastic view over the lake. Quiet when we visited for a late lunch.
We did have 1 wasp bothering us a lot but not much the restaurant can do about that.
Toilet was clean (only 1 though).
Staff were friendly.
Espresso was top quality and strong... As expected in Italy.
Our son had a carnivore meat pizza and it was well filled with a thin bottom.
Will visit again.

We stopped for a drink and a snack, then the wake of a ferry came by and soaked our two-year-old with freezing lake water. The staff were lovely, bringing blankets and various things to dry him. Really nice staff and the snacks were tasty.

Location is briliant. Staff is great. Food is really good. Recommend

I got a speghetti cabonara here and it was great! I the service was really great, albeit not always the best at English. Can definitely recommend!

We stopped here for our last lunch of the holiday before heading back to the airport. It was the perfect spot right by the lake....beautiful views, busy enough to have a good atmosphere but away from the bustle of the centre of town. The waiters were very friendly and the pizza's delicious. They forgot to bring the bill when we asked and while we were happy to have the extra time taking in the views of the lake, they brought us a couple of limocellos and ice creams for the girls - much appreciated. Would highly recommend Il Merlo Nero.

We visited Lake Garda back in May this year and ate here a number of times during our stay. The service was wonderful and the staff so attentive. You can't beat the stunning views of the lake. I've recently dreamt of the lobster pasta I ate on the last evening of our holiday which has prompted the review 😅 you can imagine my disappointment when i woke up to find i was not in fact in Lake Garda scoffing pasta, but instead late for the school run. My son- who is something of a pizza expert- voted the pizza a 10/10. High praise indeed. We can't wait to return next year and spend some time sipping limoncello spritz and eating good food on the Lake. We fell in love with Lake Garda on that holiday, and Il Merlo Nero had a big part to play in that.

There are lots of lakeside restaurants in Garda town all serving excellent food but we have really enjoyed eating at il Merlo. The food is excellent and all the staff are welcoming and friendly which is why we have eaten there on several occasions. A great restaurant to eat and enjoy.

Slightly apart from the rest of the lakeside restaurants and bars we thought this one had the best food. Not that the rest were not good but just that this one was slightly better. The service was excellent and the menu had a good selection of Italian dishes.
