Osteria il Pozzo

We happened upon this restaurant by accident, our destination was closed. But what a happy accident! The food was out standing, as was the service. We had octopus appetizer and tagliatelle with haré ragú. Perfection. Highly recommend this place in the tiny town of Chiusure.

This place is an absolute jewel! We stumbled upon it on our drive through the area. The village and location of the restaurant is dreamy and the food on the highest level. We were in heaven ☺. Strongly recommend stopping here on your way through Tuscany!!

Went into this very nice somewhat by coincidence. However, both my wife and myself were surprised by the quality of service and food it offered. We had a bad day before the dinner there, and at least we ended that day by the wonderful dinner at Osteria il Pozzo.

New restaurant just opened in May 2023, offers superb fresh taste of regional classics. Good mix of local vegetables, seafood and meats. You have 5 choices of each 3 courses on the current menu. My favorites are the shrimp filled zucchini flowers, linguine with clams, and the herb stuffed rabbit. Their gnocchi is light and sublime, the best I ever had. The chef has worked around the world including New York. Fine food at very reasonable prices. You are treated to a sip of Prosecco and a basket full of freshly baked breads when you start the meal. Good house wines also by the glass. Large well done dining room with tables outside on the pizza in warm season. A storybook setting in a romantic hilltop village next to the famous Monte Oliveto Abbey.

At the time of this review, the restaurant was showing 5 stars and 13 reviews, when seeing this, you might think it is suspicious... but we ended up staying 4 nights in Chiusure at Borgo Santo and we had dinner 3 nights in the raw at the Borgo Santo Restaurant called Osteria il Pozzo. The food is absolutely delicious, the chef is a master and the lady serving us was very nice and friendly. In the end, it is not even expensive! Don't hesitate! By the way, the small village of Chiusure and the Borgo Santo establishment are really lovely...

Impressive cuisine

Inamorata di questo posto. Fierra di essere la cameriera. Ho scoperto nuovi piatti,combinazioni e spezie e continuano a sorprendermi. Quindi cito una nostra cliente che tempo fa disse:" 5 stelle sono poche!" Non vedo l'ora che inizi la nuova staggione 😍

Inserito in un borgo incantato che recentemente è anche divenuto albergo diffuso, questo ristorante (insieme al bar attiguo) rappresenta una chicca di lusso.
Il cibo è uno spettacolo sia per il palato che per la vista.
Chef eccellente.
Il servizio professionale e gentile.
Dolci e liquori di livelli alto!
Noi ci siamo ritornati con piacere ma ci ritorneremo con ancora più piacere.

Luogo incantevole nella piazzetta di un borgo ristrutturato e silenzioso. La nuova gestione unisce esperienza, materie prime eccellenti, location raffinata, arredi curati ed un clima familiare e cortese che accomuna tutto il personale. Grazie Gianni e auguri, manca solo di farlo sapere al mondo quanto siete bravi. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo.

Un restaurant d’exception, avec une cuisine qui change des plats traditionnels de la région. Les goûts sont fins et le vin Brunello était excellent. Le cadre sur la place du village met en valeur ce petit cadre paisible. Nous avons adorés 💓

Meraviglioso! Da tanto non trovavo un menù particolare che mi incuriosisse. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Il flan di zucca si scioglieva in bocca, il cinghiale con salsa al cacao era sublime! Menù particolarissimo!

Wir haben über Mittag eine Kleinigkeit gegessen, es hat allen geschmeckt. Wir genossen den schattigen Platz mit dem wunderbaren Blick in die hübsche Seitengasse.

Nuovissimo ristorante.Ambiente elegante e suggestivo con due sale non molto grandi e davvero piacevoli .Atmosfera piacevolissima.Cibo molto buono e ben impiattato.Porzioni non abbondanti ma sufficienti. Il pane fatto da loro vario e davvero speciale.Personale di sala gentile e preparato.Proprietari arrivati al momento giusto. Simpatici e non invadenti.Torneremo.Suggeriamo loro di fare un po'di pubblicità perché per ora poco conosciuto nella zona

Una gradita riscoperta di questa osteria che per anni è rimasta chiusa. Un luogo incantevole una cucina che unisce tradizione ed innovazione grazie all'esperienza dello Chef.

Une cuisine raffinée, délicieuse et bien présentée. Un service exceptionnel avec des personnes à l'écoute. Le tout dans une ambiance de petit village. C'est un endroit exceptionnel pour un dîner en amoureux 😍
