Residence La Ferriera

We had such an amazing time at Residence La Ferriera. Virginia was accommodating, helpful and available. Grace was amazing and patient with us throughout the week as well. The food was amazing as well. We stayed with our two children (3 and 6). They enjoyed the layout of the apartment and the pool. The location was great as we made day trips to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Montepulciano, and Pienza. It is also a short walk to town where there is a delicious gelato place that we frequented daily. Although the rooms were not air conditioned the unit came with two high powered ceiling fans in each room which helped with the airflow. The only negative (which unfortunately is due to the amazing location) is the amount of mosquitos and other insects. We could have been a bit more prepared with spray, however we all left with multiple bites. We would definitely return as the stay was absolutely magical!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Authentic Tuscany at its finest. Great location amazing setting with beautiful waterfalls on the property Staff was friendly and helpful. Cooking class with Lorenzo was the highlight and food was delicious

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Definitely more relaxed countryside type setting. Perfect for families with little ones. Teenagers can safely climb down to the river and swim in the waterfall that includes 5 different height landings for rock jumping that are fairly easy to access.

My family of three stayed at Residence La Ferreira last week and we couldn’t be any happier. First the rooms are rustic with almost antique furnitures. The wifi drops often on my phone but not with my wife and daughter’s so i think that was my phone and not the wifi problem. But if you can overlook these little things, you will enjoy this resort tremendously. Virginia, one of the owner is both beautiful on the outside and on the inside. whatever your needs she will always give her 110% to help make it happen. Her brother Thomas took care of my wines needs and made super suggestions for dinner at a very affordable cost. the meal plan was good with a variety to choose from. Chef Mirco is really wonderful and will satisfy your request no matter what it is. This whole resort is surrounded by and submerged in natural beauty. I did tai chi every morning facing the water fall and felt serene and peace. i could go on and on but i highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for friendly and heartfelt services and to do things as there are a lot you can do. I could write a hundred more pages but experience it yourself.

Nowhere better than to escape to experience the magic of Tuscany! Fabulous hospitality and restaurant! Stay here and unwind while taking day trips to discover and explore...or never leave. You choose!

A family owned location in a small village outside of Florence, the location is delightful, the family and staff is knowledgeable and sweet. Their cappuccinos each morning were DEVINE; at dinner we were placed next to other vacationers for some great conversation. On our final evening we (vacationers) connected all the tables so we could eat together.

This resort was a wonderful sanctuary in an idealic setting. We stayed here for a week this summer, and the elegantly delicious dinner served by the very sweet Gracia and Francesca were a highlight of each day. Consider yourself lucky if you have the good fortune to stay at this lovely resort.

This is a paradise in the middle of Tuscany on a very charming little town. Very friendly staff, the room was spacious and very clean. We came with kids and they loved it :)

Location is beautiful, facilities are charming and comfortable, restaurant is serving high quality and honest plates with wonderful wine pairing options and there is good walking access to several interesting destinations. Overall we are extremely pleased with the location and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get off the usual "tourist" sites tour.

The Ferria is a wonderful location to stay at in the Tuscany region. Situated right next to a waterfall, this converted mill has the rustic charm of old world Italy. The staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly, and they make you feel right at home. The cooked meals that were provided were delicious, and the surrounding hillsides and towns leave much to explore. Our room was thoroughly furnished with a small kitchenette and more than enough room for two in our one bedroom apt villa.

This resort is in a remote but beautiful part of italy, up on arrival before even getting out someone was at our car to help get our bags and help us check-in even 10 minutes before closing. The front desk receptionist made our checkin easy and efficient. Aldo my mother had recently fell and they were able to make room changes to make our stay even easier on her mobility problems. The views are beautiful and the resorts are clean

Stayed there a couple years ago. Not only was it an awesome place to stay, but it also happened to have the best food we ate during our entire Italy trip! Great staff, great chef, nice and quiet place to call home for a couple weeks.

This place was so luxurious. We felt spoiled. The dining room was exceptional. The staff were very helpful, they went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely stay, and we did.

For $86.00 (2 occupants 43.00 each) per day,
You get breakfast (on time) which consists of fresh fruits and juices, cream, pastries, espresso, cappuccino, coffee or tea, granola, nuts and dates to be added to your cereals, boiled eggs and toasts if desired.
And dinner (on time) served alacarte by knowledgeable and independent waiters and waitresses, included are appetizers, courses 1 and 2 followed by the main meal and a delectable desert along with a plethora of wines listed at costs reasonable to every palet. Dining is a joy. The dinning room is the place get to meet and greet neighboring lodgers during the cooler weeks. Residence La Ferriera are is not lacking when it comes to bottled water. Available are both sparkling or stilled water bottled and plentiful. I loved them both however I marveled over the still.
The Chef gives you at minimum two choices during each course and spares no love for his craft of cooking. The fondue, beef, pork and vegetables prepared for garnish or as a variable to a meal, complements in every way. This is Italy, of course various pastas are cooked to perfection.

The accommodation were beautiful. Nice 2 bed room flat. Place outside overlooking a waterfall. Staff was very helpful and spoke English. They groomed the grounds every day. The town of Loro was my favorite in all italy. I found the people so kind and so happy to see you. Although alot of the town people do not speak English they are egar to try and to communicate in some way. Florence is only 45 min drive and Arezzo is about the same. So you can experience italy in the off beat track and still get to 2 major cities easily by car.

La Ferriera was all I hoped for and wanted in a Tuscany vacation. The apartments and grounds were immaculatly kept. The hosts (and owners), Virginia and Thomas were both friendly and wonderful people. Their knowledge of the area, where to go, what to do (and where to park upon arrival!) was excellent. The meals (under the meal plan) were all homemade and delicious. The location is remote enough for peace and quiet while being convenient to main roads for easy travel throughout Tuscany. It was easy to get to other cities, Florence, Pisa, Siena and Bologna. I was there too early in the season to use the pool. There are limited amenities but that goes to the peace and quiet I wanted on my holiday. The do run different tours out of the resort. I highly reccomend the wine tour through Tuscany vineyards. They also offer and conduct a cooking class at the resort. I give La Ferriera 5/5 stars for my trip. It was exactly what I wanted.

Our week here was heavenly. The staff were great, especially Claudio. The food was truly delicious. The location was convenient and setting was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful get-away.

This is a beautiful place. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is very good and they will accommodate any food issues. Go there, stay there, you won't regret it.
