Villa Zottopera

We had the best time! The owners and Anna, the chef, were exceptionally kind and welcoming. We did a cooking class and she explained everything with full heart and in detail. For lunch, we also got to taste Marcello‘s wine, which is also so great! Thank you so much for the best experience in Italy so far!

We got married at Zottopera last summer and stayed in the villa for 3 nights with 24 close friends and family. Anna, Alfredo, Marcello and the rest of the family are the most generous and hospitable people you will ever meet and staying at Villa Zottoprta felt like staying with family! Not only did they arrange the most gorgeous wedding ceremony and party for us, with all our needs catered for. They also created the best atmosphere and holiday we've had in years. Anna is the most incredible chef (even better than my wife who's also a chef and would agree with me here), Please make sure you eat ALL your meals at Anna's table. And while you are there Marcellos wine is the most gorgeous pairing! Crisp and refreshing Grillo and our favourite - the juicy and delicate frapatto can't go untested. We actually drank up Marcellos supply during our 3 night stay... Safe to say it was delicious!

The olive oil is also cant go unmentioned. It is the best olive oil we have ever had! So good in fact that it can be drunk straight out the bottle... If you have any interest in food, you will not be disappointed at Zottopera. The villa and the grounds are also spectacular, but what really sets Zottopera apart are the incredible hosts you will meet there.

We cannot wait to return many times in the future.

Wow, there aren't enough words to say about how amazing this property and, especially, the people there are. We were lucky enough to stay here for 5 nights during my brothers wedding and it was absolutely magical. From the views, to the gorgeous property, you truly feel like you are on a movie set. And the best part is, the food is even better thanks to their chef, Anna, who was just so kind and makes one of the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Anna, Alfredo, Giuseppe and Marcello are what make this place so special, oh and the delicious wine and olive oil.

Beautiful estate with familiar atmosphere and excellent food!

We really enjoyed our stay in the charming ancient "Casa Patronale". Anna's cordiality and authentic Sicilian cooking skills were incredible! Besides spending our time at the pool or the tennis court, we had some nice trips to the surrounding cities. Our 2-year-old nephew also had a really great time and got his extra Bambino-Pasta in the early evening. All in all: a perfect destination for a family holiday.

Lovely place with original features. Our room was spacious and clean with air-conditioning and adequate kitchenette. The operators arranged for us an extra bed. The pool is wide and deep and will kept.

The food was what one would expect from a Sicilian farmhouse: simple recipes, genuine local produce, and excellent preparation. Anna prepared for us home made pasta on the two occasions that we dined there.

The Bio olive oil sold here is probably the best tasting olive oil I tasted.

We've just been there with the family. Very charming, and possibility to bike, play tennis and relax in the swimming pool. Possibility to have breakfast and dinner (highly recommended!). Congrats to Anna, who is such an amazing cook, and Antonello. Alfredo gave us great recommandations.

I lovely peaceful place. The food is fantastic all cooked in-house and the house wine was very nice. Don't forget to buy some olive oil made at the villa.

Very special experience in medieval style mansion with cozy rooms. Big pool, tennis court and little restaurant.

L'agriturismo ha offerto un'esperienza eccezionale con la signora Anna ai fornelli, deliziando i palati con piatti deliziosi. L'atmosfera familiare e rilassante ha reso il soggiorno ancor più piacevole!
Consiglio vivamente questo luogo a chiunque cerchi una fuga rilassante con un tocco gastronomico genuino ed indimenticabile .

Villa Zottopera è un paradiso terrestre. Un posto dove rilassarsi e godere di una quiete assoluta. Si tratta di un antico casale nelle campagne Ragusane, la vera perla di questo posto è Anna (ed anche suo marito) la cui cucina è qualcosa di divino e che ti accoglie sempre con un sorriso contagioso. Piatti squisiti fatti con ingredienti dell'orto. Vi straconsiglio questo posto, anche in piena estate vi sentirete fuori dal caos.

Scegliere un posto per trascorrere alcuni giorni all'insegna del puro relax e del buon cibo non è mai una cosa semplice, ma questa volta abbiamo fatto centro. Una villa che già non appena si entra dal vialetto alberato si respira un'aria di tempo rurale.
Siamo stati accolti da una sorridente e simpatica Anna, la quale ci ha indirizzato verso la nostra camera, camera che rispecchia fedelmente le caratteristiche tipiche di allora. Arredate finemente e che godi, durante la notte, della pace più profonda.
Ottima la zona piscina e quest'ultima, un tuffo in essa e via tutte le stanchezze.
Arrivo alla parte che più onora il posto, la cucina.
Anna, assieme ad Antonello, creano secondo i nostri standard la cornice perfetta a questo agriturismo.
Siamo rimasti due sere a cena ed ogni volta una sorpresa diversa. Un cibo buono, sano e cucinato così bene da fare invidia ai rinomati chef stellati.
Quando la passione, supera il concetto di business, è li che sei il top!

I nostri feedback, anzi direi critiche costruttive, sarebbero quelli di apportare un po' di illuminazione esterna per apprezzarne maggiormente il posto anche in tarda sera e di inserire una tv in camera.

Delle vacanze indimenticabili !

Un soggiorno di sogno in un' azienda meravigliosa, nel mezzo della natura incantevole in Sicilia. La collazione buonissima, il cappuccino delicioso, la cena fatta da Anna sempre ottima. E soprattutto la gentillezza di Anna e di Antonello, è un vero piacere di conoscervi. Speriamo ritornare !

Wir waren im Mai 2022 mit unserer kleinen Tochter dort und waren rundum begeistert.
Die Unterkunft war schön und sauber, das Bad sogar ziemlich frisch modernisiert (die Fotos waren noch alt, sodass wir angenehm überrascht waren. Nur schade, dass es statt den Gasfeldern nun Induktion zum kochen gibt.
Auf Fragen oder Wünsche wurde immer schnell reagiert. Sehr kinderfreundlich und gutes Essen. Es war kein Problem komplett vegetarisches Essen zu bekommen und es wurde jedes Mal gefragt was unsere Tochter essen mag.

Villa Zottopera è un luogo dove si sta a contatto con la natura, lontano dai rumori e frastuoni della città. E non solo, si ha l'impressione di stare in famiglia, perché l'accoglienza del personale è affettuoso e ospitale. Senza contare la bontà dei cibi preparati con alimenti genuini come si faceva una volta. A tutti quelli che amano la natura, consiglio di trascorrere qualche giorno in questo meraviglioso agriturismo.

Bellissimo fine settimana,un ringraziamento particolare va alle due persone che ci hanno coccolato con le loro attenzioni,la signora Anna e suo marito Antonello.
