I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to get the chance to have a dinner in this place and you know what! It didn't disappoint me. The motto of this place is: "here we magnify the pig" or something really close to that. Unfortunately in this part of ​​Sicily, they cook so well that I was full before sitting down to dine. So I ordered just a mix of three different cuts of meat (beef and pork mainly) but I saw many different kind of main courses (pasta and risotto) served to the others customers, even more delicious. However, I ended my dinner with a delicious dessert, parfait with a crunchy chocolate layer and whole hazelnut. I suggest you to have your meal with one of their renowned local wine. Absolutely fantastic. Don’t leave town without visiting. 120 years of honing their craft in meat focused cuisine. You feel like dining with your grandma 👵🏼 with direct access / view to the kitchen witnessing how it’s prepared.

Great food and service , they also had a gluten free pasta available. Everything was very good.

October 15, 2023. We are retired from 20 years in the Italian restaurant business, rarely do we enjoy a meal out as much as we did in Ristorante Majore, a family run business for over 100 years. Delicious Sicilian dinner, excellent friendly & professional service, quality locale ingredient's, cozy ambience, open kitchen, over all very pleasant experience. Staff and Chef very accommodating to us, despite busy evening guests. We selected: cheeses and olives with grilled vegetables, house wine, followed by pasta/Bronte pistachio, Pasta/porcini mushrooms with truffle sauce, and 3 dessert! My husband, who never eats dessert, enjoyed two of the special "dessert of the day".

This beautiful restaurant is tucked up a little lane way, next to the main square of the gorgeous hilltop town of Chiaramonte Gulfi. It has a traditional and warm ambiance, with friendly and efficient service. The food is simply delicious. I had the pork sausage with a side of grilled eggplant and 'golden' chips, that were all excellent. The local red wine, Contessa Costanza, was fabulous and paired well with the pork. The kitchen is open to diners so you can see the chefs work their magic, which is an attraction in itself. The wine and food prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality provided. Highly recommended!

Such a cute restaurant. As you walk in, the kitchen is in the reception which was very cool and shows you how fresh it all is. The waiter spoke very good English! We had the pork risotto and the mushroom and truffle pasta - both were delicious. I’d highly recommend!

Loved this restaurant. Inside seating was full but the outside seating in the well lit streets and great weather made the ambiance and the seating perfect for the night. The food was absolutely exquisite especially the starter. I loved the place and would definitely come back when I visit Sicily next time. Wonderful experience I recommend the place for a friendly or family night out. Keep up the great work guys.

The food here was wonderful; we had the grilled sausage (pork with fennel) which my husband loved; the trophie pasta alla norma (pasta with aubergine) and the entrecote fasson with mushrooms and black truffle. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. A great meal, would definitely recommend!

Had a superb lunch here. Gorgeous antipasti including aspic and their insanely good homemade salami. Had the trofie with mushrooms and their house specialty risotto. Everything was excellent and in such a cool setting.

Great traditional food to be had here, same famy generations have managed this restaurant resulting in excellent quality.

Great food, highly characteristic. Salami and gelatine are a must, slow cooking pork sauce with handmade ravioli it’s probably the best in Italy. Must try the whole menu dessert included.

Amazing and authentic Sicilian food.. Probrably the best food I've had in Italy so far! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Wine was also amazing. Visiting Chiarmonte and this restaurant is highly recommended

Amazing rice with meat and tomato sauce. Risotto is their speciality. Try it.

Beautiful pasta, lovely experience. Risotto and trofie were delicious. Salame and olives - wonderful expression of the area, so tasty.

Didn't make it for lunch but smelt amazing. Great wine selection in the Cantina. Friendly staff.
