Hotel Leon d'Oro is an elegant hotel close to the station and the city center (10 minutes by foot) with a river nearby. Everything we asked for was solved really fast and the staff was very kind to us at every moment, and since they speak numerous languages it was quite easy to communicate. The room we were given was really nice and beautiful, both the bedroom and the bathroom were quite big. The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast buffet was just amazing. It had everything you could think of and the products were of nice quality, really tasty and fresh. It went from numerous cold cuts, fresh cheese and things like scrambled eggs, sausages, etc., to different types of cereals, pastries, salad and fresh fruit. The views, both from the room and outside were really nice because of the river and the chairs and flowers they have outside. It was a really nice experience and we really would come back to this hotel, and recommend it to everyone thinking about it!!

I loved my stay at the hotel - everything was classy, the hotel is close to the station and also a 20 minutes walk from the centre. The receptionists are friendly, helpful and so are all the other hotel staff. Breakfast was good and had abundance of options - I just wish they had waffles/crepes maybe, perhaps it's not an Italian custom. Also it would maybe be a good option for the rooms to have a kettle for those of us that like a cup of coffee/tea at miscellaneous hours-I had to go down to the bar for a night cap. But still, the hotel is amazing, I will definitely be staying there when I visit Verona next!

Grazie!

This is very decent hotel, geared towards conferences. It was a ten minutes walk to the porta nueva train station in an area that is not very interesting.
The room was spacious, very clean. The bed was comfortable, the TV was big and the bathroom well equipped with a bathtub. The shower head was large with decent pressure.
Oddly, there was no kettle and it was a 10eur charge to have one.
The hall on the ground floor was pleasant, with a large seating area. The couches were very comfortable. The bar area looked nice and the staff was lovely. Not sure how that area is when it is a lot busier, as we went at a very quiet time.
The breakfast buffet was in a dining room. A person would help you to the hot food as well as the tarts, but the rest was self-service. We liked it all, apart maybe from the bacon. I personally loved the Nutella on tap!
The hotel is about 15mins walk from the arena which is at the entrance of the medieval centre. Fully recommended!

Beautiful hotel in good proximity to the train station and centre of town. Beautiful river flowing just outside the hotel. The room was lovely with big windows overlooking the river. Bathroom was nice it had a bath so was good to relax in it after our long day exploring. Breakfast was great, there was so much choice and the breakfast room was beautiful. Would highly recommend this hotel if u are visiting verona.

Delightful and impressive hotel. Staff are friendly, very helpful and good fun!
Some traditional rooms - very impressive and other more modern - beautiful rooms. Ideal location located out of the main busyness.
Mystery solved - regarding issue of warm rooms - it is not the hotel's fault but due to local legislation controlling the use and availability of air conditioning. Not allowed / turned on until summer months .

Very nice place. Faded grandeur, but very comfortable. The pollo e funghi was delicious, and the buffet breakfast had everything. A short walk from the railway station, convenient to the rest of the city. No tea or coffee in the rooms, but TV does have English language channels. Outstanding value.

The hotel is really very good. Rooms are ample, clean. A large hall with nice decoration. The ouside territory is beautiful with swing, trees and flowers, tables at the rever bank. Sure it is very nice there in summer. The breakfast is full of tasty dishes: hot and cold, a lot of fruits. The staff is gentle. The hotel is close to Verona center (15 minutes to walk along a safety street with bars). Also Porta Nouve railwway station is very close (10 minutes to walk) - there you can take the shuttle bus to the airport. I strictly reccomend this hotel for long and short stays. Surely I will come back! Thank staff for the warm hospitality.

The room was beautiful. We liked allso the quality breakfast . Lack of balcony is a bit discomfort for smokers, but it was expected, so we can not realy mark it as a minus.
Only thing that we didnt like was a misunderstanding obout how much we have to pay (that was sold out after we adressed the problem) and the fakt that they gave us the wrong suitcases from the luggage room, even though our names ware marked on ours.

Clean, air-conditioned rooms with good size bathrooms and comfy beds. The staff were so helpful and kind, speaking fluent English. Less than a ten minute walk into town. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Within walking distance of the Beautiful city of Verona itself and well appointed for rail and bus stations...( the rail and bus stations are very close to each other), and taxi services,
The Hotel Roseo is a beautifully decorated hotel on a musical theme with instruments and musical scores adorning Art Deco chairs and furniture.
The air conditioning is apparent as soon as you walk into the foyer with its nice coolness.
Approaching the large front desk you will be greeted by one of many well trained and multilingual staff, all well presented and willing to help.

The hotel is split level so the breakfast dining area is below the hotel and is accessible by one of two lifts or two small flights of stairs.
The bedrooms are well appointed, beautifully decorated with bath over head shower, sink toilet and bidet, a welcome pack is standard, don't forget your European adaptor !!... For charging your phones ect.
We stayed for five days and loved the hotel...
The only one thing to bare in mind is that yes it's hot and humid outside and everyone knows it... Bottled water is €4
Sparkling or still...well worth it to stay hydrated, they know you need fluids !!..
Ok the only one thing that spoilt the experience was the rude bar man... All happy and friendly when you are buying loads of alcohol but ask for a fruit juice or soft drink and you get the rude dumb insolence treatment, stirrers being thrown across the bar into the sink, no "Prego" when thanked for their service... Like when you don't "tip" and you don't get the door opened on leaving... That kind of dumb insolence.
The barman must be on commission for the alcohol he sells you... He could do with a lesson in manners and how to treat paying guests properly.
Apart from that... The food is excellent and there is a very good choice for breakfast, they do have their own dining room but we were out around town every night so we didn't use it.
Our holiday from Stanstead UK cost £350 for flights and about €400 for the hotel, food and drinks... The price of restaurants is variable but we went to the Casa del Bra near the Arena... See review !!
