Fun place to watch a soccer game. Outdoor seating. Big projection screen up front. Option of buffet with a drink or pizza a la carte. There was a long line because there was only one bartender. The food was so so for the small buffet but it's only 15€ with a drink.people seemed happy with their pizza choices

Great restaurant with wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. Service was very friendly and prompt.

Whether to just have a drink in the large courtyard or attending a performance, or just checking out the redevelopment work of the old city, it is a great example of urban renewal and fun place to be after visiting 300 churches in town.

One of my favorite places in Florence to read a book in the afternoon, hang out with friends at night, listen to live music. Unique atmosphere, unique location. Very good place for wheelchairs and a disabled people's restroom. Kind service.

Great drink options, incredible area and view. Famous architect Renzo Piano designed the cafe addition and apartment balcony additions in this piazza. The piazza is very lively and a fun place to hangout any time of the day.

Such a popular place for young people and artists to hang out. Cheap apperitivo (7 euro for drink and unlimited buffet food).
They often have free music and concerts on the outdoor stage and there is a free art gallery in the old prison.
Great place to hang outside and drink in the nice weather.

Came here for an espresso and a drink. It was a perfect respite from all the walking and it was a great spot to just chill and people watch. This spot is away from a lot of the touristy things and is usually filled with locals, which adds to the chill atmosphere.

A bar in the site of a former prison. Has tables/outdoor seating in the courtyard with the high old brick walls the prisoners looked at every day. Really cool environment.

An ancient prison repurposed to be the Murate Art District (MAD), there are small exhibitions on daily. See parts of the old prison as well. There’s a pleasant little cafe to enjoy an espresso, beer, cocktail or spritz during the day.

Little hidden place just a bit far away from the center. You want to escape from the busy city center and sit around students working,... this is the place! The staff was super kind and they have a lot to offer for drinks! Often there are some fun things to do and always nice to sit and relax on there fun hanging benches.

Beautiful location, with an amazing relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space. Lots of tables, plenty of sun or shade, as you prefer!
Drinks were great, cocktails crafted with care. The bartender (Monica?) was super friendly! Highly recommended!

Fantastic place. Wonderful scenery and great, great cocktails. You must be here, at least one time. It's a former penitentiary, now transformed into a scenic apartment building. You can drink and eat, and have an outside experience in summer, with live music. Love it.

I came to this place for the particularity (it used to be a prison and later a monastery, before the transformation) and remained for the cocktails! I really didn't expect that. The bar lady seems to be a cocktail expert. We took spritz, negroni and bloody Mary, all very elegant and well prepared.
The place also looks amazing and stylish. It became my favourite spot in Firenze!

great price for Aperitivo. Not a buffet; you pay 10 euro (9 euro for students) for a drink and two plates of food. Hardly saw any tourists here, the majority are University students hanging out or doing their work. Lovely place to read a book and enjoy the afternoon.

Live music Friday night. Basic but good food, drinks and tables. Reasonably priced
