Enoteca Dell'Orcia

Very nice place! We arrived on a quite day at 7pm when they were about to close. Instead they served us a nice selection of wine, a very good tagliere of meat and cheese and they kept open for at least two hours. Other customers came in, the atmosphere was nice and the waitress is super kind. I recommend

Absolutely amazing food and just as amazing staff! The location is perfect with a really beautiful view. The young lady recommend some local bites that were exquisite! Love your truffle spread bread!

Go to this place if you want to know good people and have good wine, we arrived walking from Pienza and he kindly grab his car and took us to pienza 🫶☀ we’ll never forget this, THANK YOU AGAIN ! 🇦🇷

This wine bar is in a great location, with a shaded outdoor table area in a delightful piazza, with good views of the surrounding countryside. Stopped here for mid-morning coffee, which was very good and reasonably priced. They also had a large selection of food and wines. Located in Castiglione d’Orcia, a large village perched on a steep-sided hilltop, typical of the region. Very close to Bagno Vignoni. If you are visiting that, it’s worth a short detour up to this village.

Very nice location and lovely owner great wines and tasty Tuscan snacks and food. Don’t forget to pick up a bottle of wine and enjoy the view.

Lovely place, great atmosphere, wonderful and very well sorted wines, personal and sophisticated friendly service, small but Tuscan related menu. Will be back soon.

Even after you have visited Tuscany several times, you can find another town so authentic that you wonder: how did we miss this one? Castiglione d'Orcia is that kind of town. A tour guide/friend recommended it highly as unspoiled with amazing views. It was so special that during our recent stay in Montepulciano we visited this lovely town three times. On our first visit, after visiting the nearby La Rocca (tower/castle) we wandered into town to find a lovely outdoor restaurant--Enoteca dell'Orcia--on a small square with a fountain. The views over the countryside were spectacular. Our first meal was simple: two soups (tomato and pea), both flavorful with excellent bread, two salads (pear/walnuts/Pecorino and tuna/arugula/tomato) with wine, water, cake and coffee. On our return we had abundant boards of cheese and meats with wine, water and Panna Cotta. Our final visit included a visit to the town's tiny museum, part of Siena's system of medieval art. Our meal was again simple: rabbit and tripe (a first!). One of the highlights of this simple but excellent Enoteca is its server and somellier, Giorgio. Each time he steered us to excellent wines to accompany our meals. He was born in Castiglione, lives here and offers an apartment in town. His service was knowledgeable, friendly and first class. Enoteca dell'Orcia and Castiglione d'Orcia are both worth a visit to experience Tuscany at its simplest and most authentic.

A fabulous find in a beautiful little hilltop town.

It's impossible to have a bad meal here. Amazing authentic Italian food with the classics also on offer. Plus uninterrupted Tuscan views!

This place was amazing, amazing food and amazing views. What more could you want?

Authentic Tuscany!!!

Posto incantevole con una terrazza molto suggestiva. Vino servito al tavolo dalla bottiglia e bibite analcoliche molto particolari.
La ragazza che ci ha serviti sempre sorridente e accomodante.
Unica piccola pecca la quantità di lardo di cinta sul crostone, un po’ risicata :) Per il resto posto super consigliato!

Nos encanta el vino, pero caímos en esta enoteca a primera hora de la mañana (no era para tomarnos un vino🤣). Sólo nos tomamos un café, pero el dueño nos asesoró en los vinos de la zona. Muy amable y atento. Nos dejó entrar al local con la perra. GRACIAS.

Nous y sommes allés plusieurs fois pour boire un verre et découvrir les vins locaux et notamment ceux venant des vignes en face du bar à vin. Le patron est sympa et parle un bon français. On peut aussi grignoter de petites choses à des prix abordables, ce qui ne gâte rien.

venerdi 30/06 serata con musica dal vivo bellissima esperienza peccato il maltempo che ha impedito l'utilizzo della terrazza comunque ottima prestazione canora sia della cantante che del proprietario che si è lanciato in cover di brani sempre verdi persone simpaticissime !!
Castiglione d'Orcia una località poco turistica ma una chicca della Val d'Orcia.
