Agriturismo Podere Il Fornacino

We had a great few days at fornacino. The kids loved playing with the dogs and cats especially. Lora and Marco were very friendly and the food at breakfast was delicious. We made pizzas one night too which was fun. It’s so chilled here the perfect place to escape too.

There are many great places, but there are few that are epic. This farm-hotel is definitely one of them! The house itself is very comfortable with stylish decorations. All the details would surprise you : from the choice of books at the bedside table to a modern hub to connect your devices to the TV (on the painter’s stand! - what a great idea). The bed had orthopaedic mattress, so our night was fantastic. Besides total calm (and mosquito nets!) have protected our sleep, so even my sleep tracker got surprised. In the morning we’ve had one of the greatest breakfasts (more of a brunch, though it was Monday) - everything was tasty, home-made, and with such a choice that even big name hotels find it hard to compete. The house is in the middle of a huge territory with some lovely animals living there (kids have enjoyed meeting them). The swimming pool offers breathtaking views on Tuscany fields. The host is incredibly charming and interesting person who really is the soul of this great place. We would definitely come back again.

Lora, Marco and their animals are the best hosts you could ever wish for. They create a very peaceful atmosphere for their guests and you feel their love for what they are doing in every corner.
Their farm is very well maintained and their animals are living their best life. The rooms are spacious and just very beautiful. Breakfast with everything from the farm is delicious.

wonderful place. ideal vacation in the mountains of Tuscany. large well-kept area. we had a nice spacious room. design in the spirit of Italy. everything is very clean and well maintained. a special atmosphere is created by the owners of this place. these are fantastic kind and friendly people who try to satisfy all your wishes. I want to note the excellent breakfasts. large range and very tasty. definitely recommend!

We had five nights here and could not have made a better choice.

The farm is beautiful, incredibly peaceful with stunning views and a lovely garden. Our room was Suite delle Ginestre which though smaller than the others, was perfect - still a good size, beautifully decorated, incredibly light and we loved being tucked away with an amazing view and our own terrace.

The food is exceptional. Everything is from the farm with a delicious brunch in the morning - eggs laid that morning, milk from the cow... We also loved the Feast night and Pizza night, again exceptionally good food and definitely worth going for if you're there at the right time.

Lastly, Lora and Marco were wonderful hosts, creating a very relaxed atmosphere but always ready to help with requests and make sure that we had a relaxed and stress-free stay.

Very highly recommended.

Our 3 girls loved the animals and the pool. We loved the excellent food and the beautifully decorated rooms, Lora’s hospitality, the views. And of course : it’s in magnificent beautiful Tuscany . Perfect stay!

I had the pleasure of staying at Podere Il Fornacino in 2015 and I have wanted to revisit ever since. I was finally able to get back in September 2023, this time with my young family in tow. There aren’t enough superlatives for this place. We stayed in the safari tent which was the very definition of ‘glamping’ - the perfect mix of luxury (with the comfortable bed, stunning linens, stand-alone bathtub, and all kitchen and bathroom mod cons) and being close to nature (with the outdoor shower nestled into an olive tree, the private hot tub and sauna with views over the rolling countryside, and the gorgeous outside deck). The setting is so peaceful and quiet and yet there are busy seaside towns and picturesque medieval villages (and more) within easy reach. Lora is an exemplary host, friendly and approachable with nothing being too much trouble. And lastly, but by no means least, the breakfast is second to none: a buffet of sweet and savoury delights with delicious local ingredients, many grown on the grounds of the farm itself. I hope to come back, and much sooner this time.

Piccolo paradiso a meno di 1 Km dal paesino di Santa Luce e a 5 minuti di auto dal festival della lavanda. Location fantastica, immersa nella natura, con camere molto grandi e arredate con gusto e creatività! Posto ideale per qualche giorno di pausa dal caos delle grandi città, ottimo per rilassarsi, mangiare divinamente, leggere un bel libro a bordo piscina e ritrovare sé stessi. Il brunch è pazzesco e le materie prime provengono tutte dagli animali e dall'orto, rispettivamente, allevati e curato direttamente da Marco e Lora, che, per altro, sono persone super accoglienti e super attente, meravigliose. Buona base anche per visitare posti caratteristici come Volterra e San Gimignano. Esperienza da ripetere e assolutamente consigliata!

Wat een prachtige locatie om je vakantie door te brengen. Het uitzicht is fantastisch. Ontbijt is heerlijk en er is zo veel keuze. De gastvrouw is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze had goede tips voor bezienswaardigheden en restaurants. De pizza avond die ze organiseerden was top. Ik heb daar de lekkerste pizza ooit gegeten. Dit is een absolute aanrader.

Il Fornacino è un autentico angolo di paradiso. La meta ideale per staccare da tutto. La struttura è circondata da un giardino stupendo, fiori e profumi ovunque. La piscina fantastica anche per i bambini, avendo una zona di acqua molto bassa. Lora è strepitosa nell accogliere gli ospiti e coccolarli con ogni ben di Dio...colazione da 10 e lode con una scelta incredibile tra dolce e salato...Marco c è, anche se non si vede 😆, si vede però il gran lavoro che fa per mantenere tutto alla perfezione..
È stato un weekend assolutamente perfetto! Torneremo, torneremo SICURAMENTE!
