Osteria Imperfetta

Guarene is a super quiet little town with breathtaking views. It does not have many restaurants, but it has Osteria Imperfetta. The problem with it is that the name is wrong. Food is super great - it is perfect. Staff is very professional. Service is very quick and just makes you feel welcome. If you are in Alba/Guarene area you must experience this place. Just please do not forget to book the table in advance.

What a wonderful place. We dined outside with a beautiful view and the food was really delicious. For the vegetarians the chef made special Sicilian pasta and the kids loved the pasta Norma. We had three fresh lobster with spaghettoni which were really outstanding. Thanks to the chef for the hospitality and flexibility. Definitely recommended.

Excellent and cute little restaurant in Guarene. The service and food were excellent. The price is also affordable. I particularly loved the Tajarin and the fish dishes. The service is kind and fast. It is also kids friendly. You can easily park your car next to it in the center of Guarene. I will be back for sure.

The visible stone and wood and the showcased bottle of wine take you to a wine-cellar-like atmosphere.

What an amazing experience. From the price (we’ve paid 3x for worse food), to the food (the pork belly is better than any I’ve ever had and I live in a state big on BBQ), to the view. This might be the best restaurant we’ve been to in our 10 day northern italy trip

What a great little restaurant in a rustic cellar / cantina with naked red bricks and piedmont ‚less is more‘ atmosphere. Decorated in an almost zen style. Elevated wine racks with an enormous selection of local grapes. The ‚sommelier‘ is amazing with his knowledge to detail. Had a great Roero Nebbiolo from 2017 La Val dei Preti. Food was excellent, the veal tartar with a dried cod cream (tasted like bottarga mousse) was outstanding, the pasta went up from there. We had a great cheese selection and some fresh strawberries with sour cream and meringue to finish. Delicious. The service made you feel welcome and was so attentive and helpful, thank you so much. Really a great evening.

The finest Piedmontese dishes (including white truffle, this year due to a very dry summer quite expensive), an excellent wine card, great crew with a knowledgeable sommelier and a perfect place in a beautiful small village, Guarene, close to Alba and Asti.

It was not just a dinner, it was a whole culinary experience. The place is so nice and every plate is delicious. The flavours of the local ingredients are masterly presented. Refinated wine list. The staff is great and the location simply beautiful. Definetly a place to come back often!

The dining room is in a very old but nicely restored cellar, which makes a visit to this osteria special. Great flan, tagliatelle and lamb dishes!

We have had a great dinner here. I've struggled to find a decent salad in Sicily but here it was - a delicious tomato salad. Service was excellent. All the dishes we ordered were really tasty.

Loved having dinner at this place. Food was delicious, service was beyond friendly and helpful- I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Special mention to the fact that we asked to share one antipasti and they split it into two separate places, both with sauces.

Amazing food and service! Extensive selection of local wines. All menu items have allergy information. Highly recommend the Ombrina (Croaker) fish with pea puree as well as the pork belly. A Guarene gem!

Don't be fooled by the name which roughly translates to "imperfect", everything we had from the menu was in fact perfect including the wine list with a range of local wines with many Barolos and Barbaresco at modest pricing.
If you are in the area, do not miss this place.
The house made pasta is so good I could've eaten 10 bowls, literally.

Fantastic. As a restaurant owner I'm usually very critical and hard to please. These guys were beyond perfect. Wine suggestion was great, food was amazing, the service was warm and friendly. They are extremely helpful.
