Castello del Piagnaro

What a gem!! The castle is well kept and fun to explore. The exhibit/museum with the statutes is fantastic! We walked up and took the elevator down. Both easy options. The staff was nice and even had free audio in English. Very well put together and we were very pleased!

It is a genuine experience of a medieval castle with videos explaining the stele statues. With wonderful views across the town and the surrounding countryside. There is a lift at the end of via Garibaldi by Porta Parma for anyone who cannot face the challenge of the walk.

Great and interesting place

I loved visiting the castle while touring Pontremoli! Our tour guide Marco was so knowledgeable and pleasant, in fact he told us there was also the possibility to sleep there and a week later we came back and stayed the night!!!! One of the best and exciting experiences ever!!!! The rooms were clean and so were the shared bathrooms! We had the keys to the castle since they lock it at 7:30!! It is illuminated so beautifully at night and you are able to explore it all!! This experience is suitable for all ages and we were even allowed to bring our dog! Some rooms fit up to 20 people

We visited as pilgrims on the Via Francigena and stayed the night in their accommodations. The castle is well run and maintained and has an elevator up for the disabled and/or weary. The beds were wonderful and the views incredible.

Well worth a visit - genuinely interesting museum and the town is lovely too.

I'm from the USA and I loved visiting the castle during the Medieval Festival! It was such a unique experience. My friend and I went up to the castle at night and the view of the stars was breathtaking!

This was a great exhibit. Very friendly and helpful and the exhibit was beautifully done, and the English translation by headphones made this a fantastic experience

Qui puoi ricevere un bellissimo timbro sulla tua Credenziale del Pellegrino.
Ho potuto anche sostare qualche minuto nel cortile su comode e stilose panchine e rifornirmi di acqua dalla fontana,

Personale molto accogliente e sensibile; la strada per arrivare non troppo faticosa e salita moderata.
Possibile a pagamento visitare oltre il Museo l'interno della mura e salirci sopra

Castello curato ed il museo molto bello, l' esposizione dei pezzi è molto suggestiva, da vedere assolutamente. Il personale gentile e disponibile.
