Vigata Restaurant

Absolutely delighted with everything there. We saw nothing vegetarian on the menu so we asked the waiter if they could do something for us - and they did. We had gnocchi with beetroot cream (heavenly) and pasta with zucchini sauce and various delicious things sprinkled on it (porcini mushroom powder, pistachio/almond powder, and something red which may have been paprika?) It was delicious, the pasta cooked al dente, beautiful presentation and generous portions. Both waiters were friendly and able to speak English or Italian, whatever we preferred. They were not pushy when we decided not to have wine or dessert. We definitely would have gone back there if it hadn't been our last day in Porto Empedocle! GRAZIE MILLE!

Seafood was outstanding.I must say that I enjoyed the seafood more at Vigata Restaurant than the seafood I ate at Michelin star restaurants(Alain Ducasse Rech Paris, GT Fish & Oyster, Chicago etc.). Siamo a Porto Empedocle per qualche giorno di relax prima di tornare alla nostra quotidianità e volevamo una cena eccellente sotto tutti i punti di vista; questo è quello che abbiamo trovato. Il personale è molto cortese, la scelta di vini e cibi è varia e di qualità. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo a dir poco, una cena goduriosa. Le materie prime sono fresche e ben trattate. Davvero ottimo.

Abbiamo preso un antipasto misto per due, linguine con gambero rosso di Mazara e gel di pistacchio e semifreddo alla vaniglia e cioccolato.
Lo consiglio vivamente.
