I love the restaurant and hotel . It was the best one and especially the owner ilaria was the best she treated was like family took care of everything our food needs and everything. She was like our grandmother. I am very happy and lucky to stay here

We stayed one night with a last minute reservation. Ilaria was the perfect host and offered us a wonderfully comfortable room accessed via the courtyard. The adjoined restaurant and cafe were wonderful, with great service and food/beverages. Highly recommend!

So welcoming, so delicious! We had a delicious meal of Piemontese specialities. Loved the local wine recommendations of Arneis and Nebbiolo. They have several desserts, but instead of sweets, we did a few selections from their cheese cart.
Really nice service throughout in a beautiful and refined setting. Would love to eat here again on our next trip to the area.

Had a delicious dinner with family. Ilaria and her staff made us feel like we were having dinner at family home. The food was simply delicious and they had a great selection of local wine.

A last minute booking and one of the more memorable lunches. Family oriented, cozy ambiance, and delicious dishes that seemed like they came straight from an old Italian kitchen with home made pasta.

The owner / nonna spoke good English and made sure we had an enjoyable meal.

I don’t know why I go anywhere else for dinner. Leon D’Oro Secolare is always my favorite restaurant. Tonight was no exception. I’m so grateful to Ilaria for giving me the recipe. The whole team is professional- it’s like eating at a Michelin restaurant. Grazie!

Leon D’Oro is our home away from home when in Canale. You will get a proper Piedmontese meal with great service and a terrific wine list. Ilaria is a superb hostess. She and her team will make you feel at home

Amazing area

Ingresso situato sotto un porticato con mattoni a vista. Pieno centro città. Dal banco bar. con esposizione vini e alcuni tavolini, uno spazioso corridoio con alcuni tavoli; da qui si apre una sala ampia con caminetto. Arredamento classico, curato. A 50 metri una piazza con comodo parcheggio. Piatti rigorosamente della tradizione piemontese nel rispetto delle antiche ricette. Materie prime di assoluta qualità a km zero. Buona carta dei vini. Titolare e personale cortesi e professionali. Una nota: sono motociclista e sono stato accolto in modo cordiale e molto collaborativo (mi hanno indicato un comodo parcheggio per la moto).

Da anni frequentiamo il Leon d’Oro Secolare ed arriviamo con le nostre biciclette.
Siamo sempre stati ben accolti e ci hanno sempre fatti accomodare in sala ristorante o nella sala bar, le nostre biciclette vengono sistemate all’interno, nel cortile, e così possiamo gustare in tutta tranquillità i manicaretti preparati con tanta cura dalle mani della giovane cuoca. L’accoglienza da parte del personale è sempre ineccepibile, ti fanno sentire a casa.
Grazie per accettarci in tuta sportiva e casco da ciclista. Tutte le volte che faremo il nostro tour in terra di ROERO la tappa per un buon pranzo veloce, sarà sempre da voi che ci accogliete con tanti sorrisi e tanta professionalità.

Ristorante che non delude mai. Ottima cucina di Irene con piatti innovativi, servizio ineccepibile di Luciano, ottima selezione di vini del Roero scelti con cura dalla storica ed unica Ilaria. Vi consiglio di andare a provare. Consigliatissimo.
