Hotel Fontana Verona

Even if you think that it is not well located, there is a bus stop right in front of the main entrance. Service was simply excellent, the young lady at the counter was amazingly nice (I think her name was Alice) and made us feel very comfortable.
Big and spacious room, clean and with A/C. I highly recommend this hotel.

They also have private parking on the -1 floor with an elevator.

Our stay was wonderful, the room was well equipped and clean. The staff was always exceptionally friendly. We will definitely come back and enjoy this fine hotel during our next visit to beautiful Verona.

This is a lovely and quaint hotel. It is quiet, clean, and modern (in our summer travels, the air conditioning was GREATLY appreciated). The bed was extremely comfortable. Every staff member at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. The front desk has someone working at it night and day, and they were always willing to help us. And as a tourist, we appreciated that they all spoke great English as well. Most of the hotel’s rooms open up to a nice little courtyard with tables, umbrellas, and a jacuzzi. Someone is always there to serve you drinks and small food dishes from the bar , until 10pm.

The hotel itself is a decent ways outside of the tourist areas near the city center, arena, etc, but you could walk there or get a bus. There is a bus stop immediately outside the hotel which can get you to the city center in less than 10 minutes, and the main train station in maybe 20. The street the hotel is located on is rather busy during the day, but it is much quieter at night. There is an Aldi nearby (8minute walk) if you need any groceries and plenty of cafes too.

I highly recommend Albergo Fontana to anyone coming to visit Verona!

NOTE: if you plan to travel on the buses, I recommend downloading the TicketBus Verona app on your phone. You can purchase tickets and plan your routes all from there, it’s much more convenient. Online I read that sometimes it is difficult to verify your account with a USA phone line— I emailed the customer service and they had my account up and running the next day. Do this ahead of time to save yourself time and (potentially) stress!

We’ve just the most wonderful stay here. It’s our first time in Verona and the staff were simply fantastic! More than happy to help, joyful and witty with us and they make the most perfect omelettes and cappuccinos! Would highly recommended to anyone staying in Verona. Lovely hot tub for a morning soak too!

Stayed here for a weekend with 2 pals. The staff are so lovely and helpful. Each of our rooms were spotless and spacious. There is a bus stop outside the door but we walked in and out to the centre in about 15 mins. Area is quiet. Breakfast was good too. I would recommend this as a very good little hotel.

I cannot say enough good things about Albergo Fontana. Most importantly, the staff there is incredibly supportive, helpful and friendly. Even when I was at home in the States, Alice corresponded with me on WhatsApp about some questions I had. While we were in Verona, Alice, Filippo and Giorgio went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable, made recommendations for dinner, helped us with transportation. The ladies who also helped with breakfast were delightful. I liked that the hotel was small, so not crowded and noisy. The rooms were perfect, the beds, comfortable, and everything was very clean. when you are at the hotel you are a very short bus ride on number 21 or 22 to Castel Vecchio. if I have the chance to return to Verona one day, I will definitely stay at Albergo Fontana! Grazie!

Lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Very clean throughout. Good location not far from city centre. Lovely breakfast with good selection. Good facilities with bar and jacuzzi. Highly recommended, we will stay here again

Nice place. A little bit out of the centre which I prefer and easy to reach by walking or bus (there is a bus stop just outside). Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well presented

As a family with two small children, we felt extremely comfortable. The perfect location, the cleanliness and the extremely friendly staff were unique. The owner helped us find our lost backpack for over 2 hours (successfully). Thank you for the great stay. Absolutely recommended

Small nice cozy hotel. Friendly and courteous staff. Clean room, bathroom and sheets and towels. Great value.

We stayed at Hotel Fontana from 4 nights and found it a great little hotel the staff the room and service was excellent the hotel is a little from the center but a good bus service runs from outside the hotel we will definitely stay again if in Verona and would highly recommend the hotel
