One of my favorite sites in Tuscany, the “White Whale” definitely lived up to the hype. I would 100% recommend this site for anyone traveling in the area or even if you have to come from far as it is definitely worth the travel. We spent a few hours here and swam in many different pools ranging in temperature from around 20*c to around 40*c. Reading about this site before visiting stated there was a strong sulfur smell at this site but we found it to be quite mild and not off putting. Would highly recommend wearing shoes on your walk down to the pools and don’t forget a towel. Also noting the parking fee as well.

Amazing views and warm springs. Going in Autumn worked well, especially going midweek rather the weekend. Stayed 1.5hrs, came out feeling super soft! Remember to take decent footwear to make your way there and you'll have a great time 👌🏻

Absolutely fantastic place for those enjoying wild nature and hot springs. Arrived late afternoon, spent a few hours there and left after sunset. Some people were still coming during dark hours, although it was not easy to walk along springs as there are no lights and path is quite rocky. Anyway, it was great attraction to conclude the day in Tuscany - we loved it!

We came for the hot springs and we got it big time!!! It was real good. You have to come here in middle of the week and not in holidays, cause it's can be overcrowded easily. Like many say before, you don't have changing rooms. WC(chemical) you have just in beginning of the trail to the springs. The parking is not expensive, and really close to the area.

Beautiful, calm and not too busy. Parking is very well placed and affordable. The water is warm and in most cases there aren't any sharp rocks.
Highly recommended!

What a wonderful experience. There is definitely a smell of sulfur, but its not bad once you are in the water. It is warm, but not hot. We went in late April so it was chilly when you get out of the water, but I suspect it is very nice when it is a bit warmer out. The waters seem very therapeutic and my skin seemed softer. It wasn’t too crowded when we went in the afternoon and there was plenty of parking.

This is a nice stop for an hour or two of relaxing in the many thermal pools. We visited in the off-season mid week, in late Sept, and still found little parking available. The parking alongside the road is metered, so have cash or credit for your ticket, which can be set by the hour. The White-Whale is a moderately easy 300-meter path from the road. There are Porta potties but no place to change clothes. The nearby village has many small charming restaurants. This is worth the visit as you travel through Italy.

This is a very beautiful place with hot spring. It’s very easy to park the car along the road above the hot spring. The cost is around 1.5 euro per hour. Enjoy the hot spring at the white whale is goed free. Really amazing, dogs are allowed here.

Beautiful place. Although they are charging tickets not sure why since the place is not that well maintained

It's been a very unique experience. We spent the day exploring Montepulciano so we were very tired but also had time and this was the perfect place to come and relax. Just sit and enjoy the hot spring water around you!

Very beautiful natural hot spring that is free! You still need to pay for parking though (June 2022 price 1.50€/hour). The pools could be accessed 10 mins easy hike from the parking area. Come as early as possible, it can get crowded.

Very nice and relaxing. Bring flip flops or sandals as you'll be in and out of the water a lot.

A must-see in the region.

Pack your swim stuff for a nice hot bath in the sun. Ideal for a colder day as the naturally heated pools range from very hot to chilly. But be warned, the spring has a serious smell of sulphur in some places, and the water is very heavy in calcium, which can do a number on delicate hair.

There are several access points - we entered via a path just before the village by the on street parking.

I loved this place. The river of warm water runs through white mineral deposits, which are very scenic. Sitting under the waterfall while the warm water cascaded down on me was magical. I highly recommend a visit. Note that parking is limited and you must pay for nearby parking. You must also walk down a hill to the river, but the provided path was not difficult.

Absolutely stunning experience! You will enjoy hot springs to the full. Free access, hot water, mud. Wish to be here in winter. That must be incredible. But hot springs in July also great! Much more fun that I thought.

Well worth a walk. Parking meters €1.50 per hour go at lunchtime as it's quieter

We knew this as Bagni San Filippo, but whatever it was awesome! Took me over a week to wash the funk outta my hair but who cares - learning lessons, and it was worth it!

Sulfur hot spring, natural and free. Walk down from the trail head down to the hottest pool and enjoy it in the colder day. Go there early and in week days when less people are there!

Loved this place. Get there super early and walk to the end for your own private thermal pool. Great for pictures.
