Borgo Machiavelli

We went here on a recommendation of a friend. It was slow season - beginning of March, so some of the experiences were not available. But we had a wonderful lunch - was one of the top meals we had in Italy. The dinning room we ate in was so cozy - with a lovely fire. Beautiful location. Our only very small complaint is that when you park in the bottom parking lot it was not easy to figure out where the restaurant was, but I think it was becuase it was slow season and not many people about. Would highly recommend!

Super experience in an historical restaurant. Food is delicious, staff is very friendly and helpful. You can find the beauty of Tuscany region in this small restaurants and the area around It. Truly Amazing.

Beautiful meal set inside stunning, cosy venue. We came here on the back of many recommendations whilst staying in San Casciano and were not disappointed.

We had:
-Chicken liver pâté’
- two glasses of white wine
- fried zucchini chips
- tomahawk pork rib
- mushroom pasta
- cheesecake w. Berries
$67 Euro

Food was excellent and service was brilliant. There was a nice fire as well.

We came here with a travelling tour. We went down to the cellars and were given a history tour of the vineyards. We were seated to great meals and plenty of entertainment and wines throughout the night. Well, worth a great night out. Me and hubby were from Australia amongst our tour party of 37, and they were from the U.S . We had a great night.

Excellent place to eat and look around. Fantastic views over the Tuscan hills and local vineyards with a slice of history too. Authentic menu and great prices for how well we ate. Highly recommended!

I stood in front of Machiavelli's desk and read excerpts from The Prince. It is an awe-inspiring tour. To see his home. If you have the opportunity to dine there, do so! The surrounding area is absolutely stunning.

Beautiful place. Was brought here with a group and seemed like there could be many different experiences in many cool seating areas depending on what you pay for. We were put in a basic room with lots of tables. There was a guitar player and a woman singing to us. Food was decent and wine was okay. My experience felt very touristy and manufactured, but it wasn't horrible. For being in such a historical place, a tour would have been nice rather than a quick walk through the wine cellar and then corralled into dinner.

Hard to find where to actually eat and the servers but the experience, view and food were amazing.

This was a great experience. Great service and some of the best Chianti and other wines and the many course dinner and dessert will be a memorable experience celebrated with most of our tour group.

We came to see the Machiavelli Museum and were quite lost. The lady working here guided us and also suggested a really nice wine afterwards. She was just really, really friendly!

Brilliant venue,their blue champagne as well as flavoured wines, were amazing,food was soo good

Very nice location with a large garden.
Waiters are nice and welcoming.

Food selection is very good with a lot of choices from the area (meat is a must).

We had 2 main dishes, different cuts of meat, one with porcini mushrooms and one with truffles.

Of course everything matched with a good bottle of wine.

Of course eating in a big garden with a lot of trees there is a "natural background noise" of balm crickets ... but this is part of the location.

We were part of a group on a guided tour of Tuscany. We visited Machiavelli late in the afternoon and evening. Received an interesting tour of its wine-making facility, a tour of the villa (including the room where Machiavelli wrote "The Prince") and then had a delicious dinner. During dinner, we were serenaded by two different male pairs who sang and played beautiful Italian songs.
