Ape Wine Bar

We loved our evening there. Really nice food and charming service from professional and friendly people. We went back twice. An amazing wine list and great cocktails.

Ape is one of our favorite restaurants in Alba. We liked it so much the first night, we went back another night. Vanessa was a great server who makes the evening fun for everyone. They recommended nice wines and they had a couple special bottles open we got to taste. The first night the menu was a bit limited but still plenty of options and we enjoyed the traditional dishes. We went back the next night and they had gotten in some fresh seafood so the menu was completely different. It was nice to find a restaurant that really did adjust the menu based upon what was available.

We enjoyed all their dishes but standouts were the Vitello tonnato (great presentation and super flavorful), the yellowtail crudo and the handmade pastas. Save room for dessert as the panna cotta was great. Highly recommend.

Best restaurant in Alba. I recommend the plin al tovagliolo - I wish I could post a video to show you how they present them. And the pudding is exquisite. Staff is very friendly. Recommended for gluten free and food allergy too.

This is perhaps my 100 times to this place, sometimes alone but mostly with friends. It's right in front of Duomo of Alba, easy to find by walking and also easy to park when driving (Just park behind Duomo). This place has wonderful wine list and the single glass comes in many different choices of brands of wines. Pasta good, served quick as well. This is the place open almost all the time, and if it's closed, nearby it's easy to find bars or restaurants too. So usually when I am in Alba, I go this direction to hunt for food or a drink.

Right in the Piazza Duomo, the main square of Alba, you can find a lovely decored restaurant, with an outdoor area perfect for people watching view.
The traditional menu, respectful of the seasons, it is executed with no mistakes. Daily specials and variations of local specialities complete the menu.
Extensive selection of 🍷 and of course the white truffle are available

Fun and buzzy bar. We went there for a drink before dinner. It has a lively atmosphere and an excellent drink selection. We were served a delicious platter of small mixed appetizers, which was free and a very welcome surprise. Would definitely come back.

Sable of champagne, skilled waiter! Excellent service way over what can be expected from staff. Forgot my phone, and it was delivered to my hotel the next day! Prego!!

Amazing meal! Very friendly service. We ordered some small plates but received the large portions and they took the extra charge off our bill. The view over the plaza was lovely to sit outside and enjoy. Highly recommend the tartare and the rabbit plate. Hope to return!

Great wine bar with also a good lunch! Great Barolo wine (and many others) by the glass. I had the rabbit for lunch with a Barolo from 2006 and had a great time here!

Great aperitifs, lunches and dinners in a splendid atmosphere of elegance and casual chic, service is very attentive and shows passion for the products they bring and their work. Bravi.

Love love love Ape Wine Bar!! Our daily go-to place for lunch or aperitivo to enjoy good food and excellent local wines or bubbles when we are there for vacation. Will be back!
