Ristorante Pizzeria del Sole

Huge portions of delicious food and for a very reasonable price. Staff were lovely and attentive. Nice cosy but busy atmosphere. Would come here regularly if we were local!

The best Pizza in Lugano so far. I had Pizza in some places here but in del Sole it is the most special and tasty one ever.
The dolce is very fine, house made and from perfect quality and taste.
The people there have experiences and know how to serve a guest in a perfect and super friendly way. The atmosphere is very familiar. We enjoyed the dinner and will come back again.

A big thank you to the owner, i felt the warm italian hospitality when i visited on 10th Jan 🙏🙏.
I arrive at about 250pm, and they had already closed for lunch...however, the owner was really kind to ask the chef and team 'hold off' closing the kitchen.
He asked me if I was okay with a simple Arrabiata. I said, of cos! Its what i actually wanted!

So, no guesses, I had the Penne Arrabiata. The portion was huge and the sauce was good.
After i was done, the owner asked if I wanted desserts or coffee.
I had an Espresso and tiramisu to complete my homely italian meal. It was very delicious too! I recommend visiting them if you visit Lugano. Please make sure you call before heading over (i think they close at 230pm for lunch)

Honestly … the delicious food, the huge portions, the super kind service and also the fact you can have the dough of your pizza « integrale » - I for sure give 5 stars. Was super super yummy

Friendly service, big portions, delicious food and fair prices. My favourite restaurant in Lugano area for more than 20 years, same management since 1991!! Pasta and pizza are amazing but their meat and fish are not to be overlooked! Super recommended

What a pizza. I was looking for the perfect pizza in Italy for some time and where do I find it? In Switzerland! One of the best Pizzas I have ever had in my life!

Stayed with family living in Cadro last month and the first place they recommended we eat was Ristorante del Sole. Fantastic location, food & wine and we could tell that the staff appreciated our attempt at speaking Italian despite being terrible at it :)

🍕🍝🍷Il Sole is a genuine and historic Pregassona's restaurant. In synthesis: good quality, right price, large quantity and kind service. It's just a bit crowded (always)..I love pizza(ask for their secret and super special "Lo vede che Stuzzica-Pizza"). Pasta plates are huge!!! Buon appetito.

We had a great burger for a more than reasonable price. The meat was very good and the size of the burger was overwhelming, the fries were also amazing. Highly recommended place for a dinner with friends or medium to big groups. There is a parking lot available in the place. Better call for a reservation.

Very friendly staff, no problem with having our dog with us. The food was very good and so much of it! Even I could not eat it all.... and I'm a pig! Without even asking they boxed up the leftovers for us to take away with us. Seems to be very popular with the locals which is always a good sign worldwide.

Everyone from the staff is incredibly nice, and the pizzas we ordered were amazing! Even our dog got a treat and water. Perfect experience!

Really decent pizza! I had a capricciosa (was going to try their fritto misto but it was past 22:00 when our party got there and the kitchen was closed). The chilli oil for the pizza isn't very spicy (and I used quite a bit) but the actual chilli in it is quite tasty.

Wonderful restaurant. You should take just one dish because the amount of food is incredible (a dish of gnocchi will make you full, the same for the meat or fish dishes). The quality of the service is exceptional. The ratio quality price is exceptional

Wow. What a fantastic experience! My huaband and I decided to walk from the lake to this little gem. It was quite a walk, and wow, was it worth it!! (There is a bus station right outside the restaurant). The food is excellent. The portions are substantial. The staff are so sincere and friendly, despite speaking very little English. The service was outstanding. I can highly reccommend the pizza, especially paired with the home made chilli. The prices are very reasonable. We had an absolute blast.

Very good restaurant, staff is also very nice, highly recommend for anyone which is around in Lugano. IF your looking for a good pizza at a reasonable price (Swiss prices) highly recommended. Even a nice steak or nice seafood is served here. Just highly recommend it ! Bon apetit
