Ristorante Maona

It has been seven years since I went to this restaurant and had my first pizza Margherita in Italy! The lovely staff has warmed my heart whenever I remember my visit! Highly recommend visiting it if you are around!

The best food! If you really want o try the home Italian cuisine, the real pasta. Antonio is the best , we love him ❤ Michelle is also nice, but he is the son 😂

Don't look outside but just go in and try the food. Amazing atmosphere. Absolutely fantastic service. Food is incredibly well prepared and cooked. Many choices. Not expensive at all. Looking forward going back there 100%. I cannot wait.

Great food and prices! Simple and delicious food, friendly staff, family owned business. We stayed in Sanremo one week and ate there at least 5 days, lunch or dinner. It was 1,5 years ago but I suddenly remembered I forgot to leave a review and they certainly deserve it. Thanks from Norway!

Best restaurant in Sanremo - we have been eating here for 25 years when visiting Sanremo. The pasta carbonara is just the best ever, the pizzas are crisp and delicious, the tiramisu is the best I have ever eaten.

Doesn't look much from the outside but the food and service were great. The main waiter ( ?owner) is a nice guy and very friendly.

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS. The staff was pretty friendly and nice. The atmosphere is really good, especially at night. Overall 10/10.

Never fails, great location, and superb food

Great food for reasonable prices. Can't go wrong with this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and will respect all your wishes. The outside tables are shielded from the wind and rain so you can sit outside even if there is an unpleasant wind. Parking can be a little stressful though.

My Wife and I have been coming to San Remo for more than 20 years and have always had at least 3 or 4 dinners at Cafe Maona, as well as the occasional lunch. We have never been disappointed. Our favorite dish is Mediterranean Sea Bass for two, the best we have had anywhere.

Following is an update from our recent visit to San Remo (Oct 2023) after a 4 year absence due to COVID. During the 8 days we were in San Remo, we ate every dinner and several lunches at Maona and had just about every dish on the Menu. Everything was excellent and the Branzino is still fabulous. Spaghetti Pesto was superior to anything we have ever sampled at home in Toronto, and we can still taste the melt-in your-mouth Gnocchi Pomodoro.

While in Milan for an additional 10 days, we ate at 3 highly rated restaurants, and none compared to what we enjoyed at Moana. Local family run establishments are far superior.

A visit to the San Remo Market on Tuesday or Saturday, followed by a meal at Maona is icing on the cake to any vacation in Italy.

Recommended, nice restaurants and good prices.

Went here twice for dinner and would have gone more often if we had found it earlier. Food good and wholesome at very good prices and staff were lovely

My friend and I came here for lunch for amazing pasta and good house wine. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Has a nice home style taverna feel.

The food came extremely fast! And the spaghetti with pesto was delicious, ate it all in like 2 minutes. Pizza is good too.
