Hertz Car Rental - Catania Airport

We traveled throughout mountainous areas and from Catania towards Siracusa. We needed space for an oversized luggage & had no problems with the Opel. Analiza helped ensure we registered any prior damage, offered good information on insurance options without pushing. We felt cared for. Upon return we were treated respectfully once again.

I recently rented a car from Hertz Catania Airport, and I must say that my experience was incredibly smooth and hassle-free. From the moment I arrived at the airport, the staff at Hertz were friendly and efficient. The rental process was quick, and within minutes I was on my way to the car.

When I got to the car, I was pleased to find that it was clean and in excellent condition. It was obvious that the vehicle had been well-maintained, and I had no concerns about its performance during my rental period. The interior was also tidy, and everything was in working order.

One minor issue I encountered was that there were some scratches on the car that were not indicated on the rental ticket. However, when I returned to the rental desk to show them, the staff were understanding and quickly updated the records to reflect the pre-existing damage. They were professional and handled the situation without any problems or complications.

Easy to book, effective and service-minded staff. Car was as expected and unbeatable price!

We picked up the car at Catania Airport. The staff were efficient and friendly. They mentioned upgrades, but didn't push them.

After reading the previous reviews, I scared a lot. At my arrival a week ago there was 4 employees at the desk inside the airport, I wait less than a quater . For the return 7 days later : 1°) hertz car park is easy to find, 2°) I gave back my car around noon , which is the big time. 3°) there was a queue of 5 persons and I have to wait more than half an hour. 4°) Everything was quick and correct.

Excellent Rental Experience. We saw so many negative car rental reviews we were really concerned about doing this at all, but if you rent with a well known company like Hertz and take out the full insurance (just do it even though you probably wouldn't in the US) you'll likely have a good experience. We used Auto Europe to make the reservation. Would recommend doing it that way as well. When we arrived, the rental counter was easy to find (Catania is a small airport) and the clerk was fast and polite. The car rental exit and return were a little challenging to find as the signs aren't super clear, but the overall experience renting from Hertz in Catania was just fine. We drove extensively though Sicily and would do it again.

Very effecient service. Italian people working at Hertz were very helpful and speak fluent english. When having problems with our first car, they changed it immediately. Within an hour we had another car and they upgraded us with a larger and faster car. Offices are everywhere, so if something happens, you will have an office close to you - wherever you are. Highly recommended!

All was very smooth. Thanks to Marsio, me and my husband we had a very smooth, nice and quick checkout service, and it was a good way to finnalize our trip and holidays.

Unlike the other reviewers I had a good experience. I rented the car indirectly and in advance via a Dutch company sunnycars.nl. pickup and return was smooth and fast. Staff was not unfriendly and I could pick between 2 cars at pickup (Corsa or Ypsilon) Maybe I was lucky if I read the other reviews 😎

I have Rent a Thrifty car here twice which is the lower budget part of Hertz.. I never took the extra insurance. No problem when the car is returned. Both cars were almost new. Renault Captur and Fiat 500L
