Al Vicolo Pizza&Vino

This is probably one of the best pizzas that I have tried in Italy like all of Italy. Something else that I need to add is that the pizza are actually huge. I do love to eat, however one pizza is too much for me sometimes. They have a wide variety of different pictures for everybody's taste.
A little bit concerning is the wide variety of menu items that they are offering. However, when you walk to the place you see two different restaurants which actually operate as one. So maybe this is the reason why the menu has everything from pizza to burgers.
However, the place could work a little bit more on service because the waiters are really scattered and we were served by three or four different people, one of the nights that we visited. The prices are very reasonable and I would say that the pizza are really amazing. We had both open and calzone Pizza. One of the days we had the pistachio tiramisu which was a little bit dry to my taste. But nevertheless, the balance of the flavors was amazing. It was not too heavy. Not too sweet. It was just perfect.

Came here for lunch, ordered three pizzas for five of us. Big mistake, pizzas are huge! Ended up taking 1.5 pizzas home. They were tasty, great dough, good amount of toppings. We also had some French fries that were good too. There's an amazing selection of steaks on display, we did not have them but I can imagine they would be delicious. Nice service, great ambience, night time would look great with lights etc. Recommend.

We had a fantastic evening meal here on Christmas Day. I went with my partner, her mother, and my mother. We all ordered a pizza each, and they were HUGE!

I had the green pesto, pistachio, and bacon pizza... AMAZING! I ate every single slice and was even able to eat a slice of my mother's pizza!

My partner is from Catania, and she has never had pizza there before. She told me that it was up there as one of the very best pizzas she has ever had! She is not a big eater... but she ate the entire pizza!

It is a bit on the expensive side for pizza in Catania. However, with the size and quality you get... it was worth every penny!

They have plenty of beer on tap as well, which was a bonus for me.

Seriously, if you want to try the best pizza in Catania, you MUST visit this restaurant. To play it safe, make sure you pre-book as it is a very popular restaurant.

Portions are really big - we had 3 pizzas and 3 desserts for 6 people. I would recommend pizza Via Crociferi with buffalo mozzarella. From the desserts - definitely tiramisu with pistachio cream. However it's quite heavy and keep in mind that it comes in a huge jar. Nice modern and minimalistic interior. The staff was kind and friendly.

Food Quality: starting from the appetizers and all the way to the amount of different pizzas to order, all food was delicious and great quality with fresh ingredients.

Portions: amazing portions. The plates are very plentiful. The board with charcuterie and cheeses was very bountiful. Pizzas are nice and big and full of ingredients.

Drinks: a good selection of cocktails and drinks to chose from. Also very well made.

Price: $$ - we had a bug table and split a lot of things to try everything, but seemed like a very decent price for everything we ate.

Service: as we were such a big table this is very difficult to comment on, but even though they had misplaced our reservation they still managed to arrange something for such a big group that we were. And after that, very helpful and friendly with our orders.

Atmosphere: very big restaurant. Amazing terrace outside on the street side and also a beautiful little garde terrace inside. Also works very well for events.

Highlights: the terrace is amazing, and also the food was delicious.

Things to improve: considering that our reservation got lost, that would have been something to improve.

Cool place with incredible atmosphere. The staff was amazing and besides the fact that we made a mistake and reserved a table when was actually to go, they were incredibly patient and sympathetic. Very good pizza.

Delicious food, but be aware that portions are huge! We ordered medium (the smaller you can choose) plate with cold food for starters and honestly it’s a lot for 2 people! But these yummy cheeses, tomatoes, hams and more are worth trying for sure! Also the stuff was very helpfull :) also i recommend to do a reservation before as its busy all the time :)

A very good place where to eat! We had a great pizza and we enjoyed our time here. The waiter was very kind and friendly and he helped us to decide what to choose from their menu. They have good drinks, too! We recommend Isaac beer, it’s a must!

This place was recommended to me by a friend who is from Catania.
The atmosphere is great from the decor to the music.

The serving sizes are massive. Myself and the table next to me, couldn't believe how much food came with each plate.
Pizzas in Italy are normally ordered per person but these? Easily will feed two, maybe three people.
I ordered the tagliata with salad, a side of grilled veggies, and then the tiramisu for dessert.
The tagliata was great! The tiramisu, though massive, was the worst I've had in almost three years living in Italy, and four trips to Catania.

I'd still go back though to try some of their other dishes.

GREAT place with magnificent food. I tasted both pizza with pistacchio and salad on two evenings. Please mind that the pizza is really huge Enough for at least 2 people. Nice surrounding and service. All you need to spend great evening is there.

One of the best pizza I ever had. We came here twice. Amazing horse meat, outstanding pistachio tiramisu.

Great restaurant. In a little hidden alleyway. If you want some outdoor seating and a quaint area away from the traffic. This is fantastic. Outdoor seasoning, floral plants, night time lighting, chill music. Great vibe. Highly recommend. Great service as well. You can't go around here. Placido, is a fantastic waiter. We walked by at least 20 restaurants trying to find the right place for lunch. We finally found it.

Loved this place. The setting and atmosphere are fantastic, it’s set back off the mains street and is very quiet. We were there between 4pm - 6pm and there was very little traffics along the street.

The food was amazing and the portions were huge. The staff were also fantastic and always on hand if needed, they also recommended their favourites when we got stuck.

Definitely worth a visit either for some food or a drink. I’ll be stopping by in the evening as it looks like a great set up for a nightcap.

The best pizza in Catania. I always go there when I visit Catania. Be aware: the pizza is real laaaarg... it takes at least 2 persons to finish ONE pizza.
Sometimes I had to wait a while because it is too busy. The sfeer is great.

Very nice place in the center of Catania, but also far from city crowd. A bit more expensive than the other restaurants in surrounding area, but definitely worth it. The staff is very pleasant, professionall and polite and the food is excellent. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Great food! I had the fried pizza specifically la Calabrese it was definitely worth the price. I would have preferred smaller pieces of olives on the inside but overall great! The Service was great as well we were seated promptly upon our arrival and was given time to decide what to order. Good music, not too loud and it was warm from the outdoor heaters. Overall good option for a date night, or dinner with the family.

The best pizza I’ve ever had! Really helpful staff great menu with a broad range of food. It fills up quickly as it is very popular so I recommend booking in advance or turning up early! Or just get a takeaway because the pizzas are absolutely worth it!

Great gluten free pizza! I think the best one in Sicily. Big in size and loaded with ingredients. I tried two different ones. Also the national platter was a very nice surprise. It is big and filled of different things. Staff is friendly and restaurant has a perfect location with very nice lighting in the evening. Drinks were great too! Overall the best eating and drinking experience in a Sicily. Highly recommend!
