Ristorante La Capannina sul Lago Certaldo

We came here after doing a tour of a venue. They told us about this place. Everything we ate was delicious! My husband found his wild boar here he was so happy. The service was amazing, too!
I'm thinking of using their services for a party.

My friend and I had the most amazing experience dining at this restaurant! It’s our first time visiting the area and we definitely made the best decision to eat here because food was amazing, we had pastas, mushrooms and beef tartare with truffles. The owner Antonio was super friendly and generous, we had a fun conversation and got free drinks to taste and little gifts to take home, he even helped us arrange a last minute local wine tasting at Villa Il Pozzo which was also a wonderful experience!

Incredible meal! Friendly and attentive staff (plus a manager who spoke English well). Food was fresh, wonderfully seasoned and absolutely delicious. We had steaks that were some of the best we’d ever eaten. We enjoyed every aspect of our meal, from the location, service, wine, and dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be back.

La Capannina is a hidden gem with delicious food, a charming ambiance, and a wonderful owner. The menu at La Capannina was a culinary delight, each dish we tried was so tasty. The staff at La Capannina were friendly, professional. La Capannina offers a fantastic selection of wines, they helped us to choose the best wine for our meal. I would totally recommend this restaurant!

A truly wonderful and authentic experience in toscana! The dinner started with a welcome glass of wine! Our server was very kind and explained the menu as needed. We devoured the mixed meat and giant block of homemade cheese to start. Highly recommend the tagliolini with truffle and butter/sage tortellini and the tiramisu. Overall a wonderful meal that I will remember for a long time!

Great location beside a nice sport fishing lake. Lots of space to relax and is great for kids due to a terrific play area secured away from the lake. The owner is very passionate about local and organic produce and this comes through in some wonderful local dishes and wine selection. A well thought through and diverse menu selection, including some excellent desserts. I recommend the grandmothers cake! Staff are all knowledgable and attentive. We just want to say thank you for hosting us! 5 x 🌟

We had ravioli, rabbit and beef- all were just great. Tiramisu… well it’s just heaven. Thanks to Antonio and the chef for an amazing dinner.

The food we had here was the best I had in Toscana. Even in Italy. I would highly recommend. Everything is fresh and super delicious. If I could give more than 5 stars I would give the highest one. Thank you so much for everything.

The place is awesome! The service is very friendly and helpful. They explained and translated the menu patiently to us. All the food is local, mostly self grown and without usage of chemicals. The result is amazing tasting food. Really every dish is worth trying. Price performance ratio is good!

Romantic and peaceful setting outside in a garden, all the food is homemade from 100% local ingredients and very good. The menu has a few options that you wouldn’t see everywhere and they seemed happy to adjust dishes on request (which we didn’t make use of).

Looking for a place with homemade pasta, cake and organic vegetables? Then this is the right place to go.
Antonio is very friendly and we really enjoyed our time there.
As you can tell by the name, the restaurant is located next to a small lake. Outside we saw a barbecue, lots of possibilities to be seated and also some children attractions like a bouncy castle. Unfortunately it was raining when we were there, but I can image how much more fun it would be to come back on a sunny day.

I must say we had one of the best Italian dish from a local Tuscan cuisine! Simply delicious, the owner and the chef goes the extra mile to make sure you have one of the best time in your life. Antonio is the perfect role model to represent ITALY!!!
Amazing afternoon in complete relaxation with the greenery of the beautiful TUSCAN countryside. You must visit at least once in your lifetime to really get the true feeling of what Tuscan can offer! We went at the end of our trip, wish we could have returned few more times. We now have a reason to return to ITALY!! Until then, All the best Antonio and the team!

The focus on organic and local produce was great. The food was very good and we enjoyed sitting outdoors while the children played with the toys on the grass nearby. Favourites were the caramelised onions and paté toast.

Fantastic quite restaurant overlooking a fishing pound. All ingredients are from local farmers & the pasta is made in the restaurant. Friendly owner , great tasting food. Perfect stop between San Gimignano & Firenze.

This is the best restaurant in the Chianti region for local and biological food and wines! Beautiful place to visit, that needs a small drive to get there, but definitely worth it!! The owner and his staff are very friendly and can tell you everything about their quality food and wines. We visited for both lunch and dinner and loved all the courses. Great fans especially of their collection of cheeses and wines!

After a long journey we had a great meal here with a large group of people. The chef's suggestions were on point. The food is organic and everything is home made. A great welcome to Tuscany.
