We ate here twice on our month Vacation in the area. Both times were incredible! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The spicy spaghetti was the best pasta we had in Italy and the gnocchi was amazing! Make a reservation and ask for a table with a view. Highly recommended!

A pleasant surprise on a cloudy and rainy day. The slow cooked pork cheeks and the gnocchi were very good. Service was attentive and kind - they also made it possible to taste the pigeon & mushroom pasta sauce, which was also interesting - grazie!

The best meal we’ve had since we’ve been in Italy (Bologna included!). The service was impeccable and the pasta was cooked to perfection with so much flavor. The atmosphere and views were also amazing. Loved Certaldo Alto and will return one day.

Walked into this restaurant by accident. Turns out I accidentally ate at the best restaurant of our whole Italy trip. Amazing food, service, and views. Castle on one side and San Gimignano in the distance past the hills on the other. Get the spaghetti. Host spoke perfect English and catered to our gluten free requests graciously.

This is a lovely, delicious restaurant. It is not on the main street, instead tucked away on a side street. Great views. Tip - order the roasted vegetables as a side. They were surprisingly delicious.

Outstanding food & service. We have had great food all our trip through Italy over the last 3 weeks but this restaurant is up there with the best in taste using local ingredients. Highly recommend.

Amazing Food, we went for dinner to celebrate birthday and the host took great care of us. Dedicated the entire 2 hours to our table and addressed to all our needs (8 people group, with lotsa needs). Food was fantastic, lot of veggie options and their selection of wine was amazing as well.

We have eaten in many places all over Italy and I have to say the food here is amongst the best. The saccotino formaggio was nice as well as the decent portion of bruschetta pomodoro for starters. However the absolute star of the show was the spaghetti vigliaccia - cooked with garlic , onions, chilli, tomatoes and guanciarle - was divine. Service was great and price was reasonable for the location and quality. Well done.

What an amazing culinary and visual experience at this historic, quaint restaurant in Certaldo Alto (the upper, medieval, scenic part of Certaldo). Excellent food, service, and scenery, in a peaceful outdoor location overlooking the Certaldo Basso valley on a picture perfect day. My wife and I enjoyed pici al ragu di cinta, gnocchetti, potate croccanti, and a saccottino, along with a bottle of vernaccia. Thank you for such a memorable dining experience!

What can I say, L'Antica Fonte is an incredible restaurant. The food is out of this world, the pici were amazing and the wine selection is huge. All of this is helped by the fact that the staff were very kind and knowledgeable when it came to suggesting the wine and explaining the differences. Highly recommended!

The terrace and food here were both quite pleasant. Overall, a great meal and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Everything was tasty. The beef filet with lard and anchovy sauce was great, as was the spaghetti, ever so slightly spicy. Even the kid’s pasta was nice. Service wasn’t perfect, but still acceptable.

Amazing food, wonderful service and a stunning view, all at a reasonable price. We absolutely loved it here, our waiter was so knowledgeable and helpful and it was some of the best food we’ve had our entire trip through Italy. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Delicious meal and wine, fantastic deserts, service so nice, helpful and funny and the view is just breathtaking. Thank you for uniqe dinner. Very recomended!

This restaurant was most definitely one of the best of our 2-week Tuscany trip: the food was really good and service even better. The menu is primarily authentic Tuscan food. For our main we had steak and Gnocchi and both were tasty, the steak was very tender.

The best part was the service staff here who were warm, friendly and could speak fluent English! He specially seated us at a table where I could enjoy the view. Definitely recommend! 👍👍 Food was good and reasonably priced too! We had the chicken liver pate, sirloin and wild boar ragu with a bottle of red wine and ended with a tiramisu. Thanks for the hospitality!

It was our last night in Certaldo Alto. We had walked past this restaurant every day. We had listened to people joyously dining every night. Tonight was our turn. And what an experience!

The servers were delightful and ever accommodating. The food. The FOOD! Such a memorable, leisurely evening under the tent, surrounded by flowers, feasting on Italian delicacies, delicious wines, and the creamiest of tiramisus.

This is a place where those in the know, know, and they’ll be here.

I cannot wait to return.

The town where the restaurant is located is beautiful, with stunning views, the restaurant has a beautiful terrace, nice food and great service. Our waiter was Nicola and he gave us great recommendations and was very kind. Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back soon :)

Very cozy atmosphere and empathetic staff. The staff knows in detail how everything is cooked and even provided me with insides of places around. This dinner was good food and great service!
If you get a table, go there!
