Il Borghetto country inn

Absolutely splendid farmbnb in the tuscan countryside, ran by such a kind and fun staff! Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing getaway in Italy. It is situated on a beautiful property. The cooking class was also a lot of fun and allowed us to learn more about tuscan cuisine and the lovely folks. Already dreaming about coming back!

Pro tip: Ideally you should rent a car from Florence. The inn does not provide transport and taxis are very expensive to get here.

Beautiful villa in the heart of Tuscany.

We stayed in the Self Catering Villa for 7 nights and we could not have found a better place to engross ourselves in Tuscan life.

- The villa is extremely homely and beautiful. It feels like you are staying with friends rather than just a holiday house.

Il Borghetto is a slice of heaven among the rolling hills in the Chianti region of Tuscany in Italy. This wonderful inn has 9 rooms surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The charming property has a walking trail that leads to an Etruscan tomb dating back to the 7th century BC. There is a nice pool on the property. Breakfast is served on a nice outdoor patio with wonderful selections of cheeses, meats, sweets, tarts, yogurts, and fruits. A fresh squeezed blood orange juice is often available. The property is about 20 minutes from Florence and 35 minutes from Sienna. Lunch and dinner are available upon request. They sell their own olive oil and wines. A great place to spend your relaxing Tuscan holidays.

Four of us just completed a three week tour of Italy. It was not a first trip for any of us and high on our priority list was to return to Il Borghetto.
We spent a full week there and each of us said that it was easily the best week of our vacation. The staff is amazing. Each one made us feel like we were at home. The location could not be better, half way between Florence and Sienna. The rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. We took a cooking class taught by Ilaria and Christina and all of us agreed it was the best meal we had on the entire trip. Unfortunately, I can only give 5 stars, but in all of our hearts, it rated a 10. Thank-you to Ilaria, Christina, Margo, Caramela and Carol.
